That thread that was closed regarding battle leveling was relevant simply for the fact that it addressed a key problem circulating PvP right now. You guys ask us for feedback, feedback was given (from myself both in game and now in the forums which is specifically designed for debate on this sort of topic) and yet you close the thread? Why?
A great way to understand some of the specific problems with the games and some of the patches is to give examples, which were given. So here is a continuation of that thread, because quite simply, you were wrong to close it... to sum it up; BATTLE LEVELING IS BROKEN.
A great example is my NB which has nearly 40K health at V1 in Vet zone PvP with no points invested into health (yes he's imperial and it's not just his health that's too high either, damage, regen and his other max resources are out of sync too)... he annihilates v14s most of the time in his level 35 armour :/... and while it's cool to be able to beat people, I also think it's so unbalanced as to be bordering on exploiting a mechanic that's obviously bad.
If I were a new player I would also fully expect to lose to seasoned, fully leveled and geared opponents, not be wrapped in cotton wool and babied through the learning curve. Yes, if you're more skilled than the other player you might beat higher leveled players (I used to in previous patches and that felt a lot fairer and more balanced), which is fair enough, but it's just ridiculous that the seasoned players are now being punished for being leveled properly.

See the bolded text, that's all the explanation you need.
Everyone who has battle leveling on has the exact same stats.... nice try though:)

That's not true. Passive skills, 5 piece sets, and mundus stones all change battle-leveled stats.

Not so much that NB are to blame for battle leveling being bad-_- but yea your right sorry.

Oh yeah, definitely agree with that point. But some classes/races do benefit from battle-leveling somewhat more than others because they have more (or better) passives that boost stat points, which is one of the only ways to raise battle leveled stats. For example a battle-leveled Imperial Sorc can benefit from class and racial passives which provide: stam regen, magicka regen, reduce stam/magicka cost, weapon/spell damage, max stam, and max health, where a Breton Templar would only receive weapon damage, reduce magicka/stam cost, and max magicka. Obviously there are other useful class/racial passives that don't give flat stat increases, but when looking strictly at battle-leveled stat gains through passives, you can see where some races/classes may have a slight advantage over others. With an Imperial NB, between the Dark Vigor passive (increase max health 3% for each shadow ability slotted) and the Tough passive (12% max health) it is hypothetically possible to increase your battle leveled health by 30% (although a build with all 6 shadow abilities on one bar doesn't seem entirely practical.) However, under the current battle leveling system I don't see how an Imperial NB could achieve 40k health and above average damage, regen, and max stam/magicka. If that is in fact the case, it almost sounds like it could be a bug to me. If OP could provide screenshots or at least tell us his build I'd love to hear it

Base stats perhaps, but they do vary according to race, enchants and some gear stats like reduction to cost all play a part. I run a couple of non-vets and they do vary.

The overhaul coming for Battle Leveling includes bonuses to characters with less advantage either due to level or poor gear and the like. This will make PvP remain rather evenly matched while still exercising build variety via stat point allocation and gear effects. Of course, this is just statistical and the advantages of gear and skills will still have a slight upper hand in hindsight but at least the lowbies won't get slaughtered, at the very least too badly.

I'm so happy to see a post like this. There are times I've gotten messages from non vet guys making fun of me because they beat me (V16). While they're sitting on almost double the health I have and probably close to the same damage as me? It's so irritating. Battle leveling should ONLY be in non-vet pvp (if it has to be in the game at all).

@SleepyTroll Just clearing the record even though it's a bit of a moot point now because it's changed (though I haven't tested it yet since the update), I used to have 46.4K health (shot taken after I hit v2 with him in level 35 full medium armour) ;)
