What we're left with:

Persistent, crippling lag and fps drops
Stronger than ever zergs
Class imbalance
& Lack of true and sincere care from ZOS.

They simply do not care about PC PVP. So why do we?

Because all the bad stuff aside, PVP in ESO can still be really fun. I had some nice duels this morning when things were quiet. It's times like that where I remember why I love this game, despite its flaws.

but truth, zos is especially bad at managing, far beyond mid standard. they dont need paying elder scrolls license as bethesda and zenimax are under the same management, they have almost a year sub money, but the content is already very poor. they just milking elder scrolls name

You must not realize how many people have actually quit and don't care. Most of the best players and guilds are not in ESO anymore, we're looking elsewhere for games because of the continuing disappointment on the (lack of) development of PVP in ESO... People like myself and my friends who has 200-300 days played and were incredibly dedicated and talented are no longer around for obvious reasons, it's only a matter of time before the rest of the PVP community gets fed up.

I was trying to play today and I think 80-90% of my deaths were from 100% stamina can't break free bugs. It was happening so frequently it was almost comical. The lag was present as well of course but I've dealt with lag for long now we're kind of old friends. Constant loading screens and return to broken or missing animations. I think 1.7 is the buggiest patch for me since the dreaded lighting patch.

To top it off there is just zero communication from ZoS on these issues so like most of the bugs in this game (need I mention them all) each additional one becomes another burden we have to bear while playing. I'm at my limit and constantly asking myself if the small moments of enjoyment are worth the constant frustration.

And this post sums up how I feel about it all . Thankfully I've got a backlog of games to catch up on eso was going to be my latest mmo pvping adventure but I already know I won't stick around long the dev team are shocking here compared with elsewhere it really is poor in terms of communication and bug fixes not to mention how console is missing PC features. The potential is there, but my hope in their ability to access that potential is gone. Far less than gone in fact. If anything comes out that can compete with the concept of PvP, and provide regular support rather than update to update they will win me over.

My faith in their willingness to do what it takes to make a great game is completely gone.

I'm looking forward to Orsinium when it comes out but I'm questioning if it's going to keep me interested in the game or push me further away. PvP? Don't really need to add anything that hasn't already been said. Watching old PvP videos doesn't help either.

The PvP experience is worse than it was two years ago

We waited patiently, with confidence and even optimism; we waited for the first ever "PvP content" update.

This PvP content update has now been released to the live server environment, this has both disappointed many while simultaneously pleasing many due to how it clearly illustrates the creative vision and development interest on the PvP experience with regards to long term health of the game.

Epic keep battles which lasts for hours at a time, filled with hundreds of players on screen where each class has a distinct role to play within keep battles to reinforce an incredibly fun and most importantly exciting PvP game experience.

PvP went from having zero lag, to having lag, to reducing the total server population severely where you experience lag with 30 players on screen when previously you had over 200 players on screen with zero lag and no one dying instantly either.

This has pushed me and encouraged me to back an in development MMORPG with as much $ as possible purely because of how in-touch with the community the developers are and the game is only in the development stage, I've gave so much confidence, faith and hope for certain things with this game experience which don't even make sense with a B2P MMO. PvP is no longer considered to be an important part of this game, I believe the passion and development enthusiasm was gone with the B2P transition.

I consider this will always be a fun game to run dungeons with friends and a social MMORPG. Gameplay, PvP and player rewards are a non-factor anymore, just look at the old VR dungeon sets such as Ring of the Thorn [two rings & healing staff], the 3 set bonus gave +5% healing done but the droprate was 0.00000000001%, I have never seen a ring drop in my entire time playing this game; out of touch is an understatement, I feel sad that the suits have driven this game down and down from deep within meeting rooms.

I agree that the game is going sadly downhill, and has been for a long time. However, it still has potential. It's just been managed extremely poorly.

Honestly, all that really needs to be done is a fix to the PvP lag. That's it... We'd all be happy to PvP if 100 people could do their thing in one big fight together. Zergs would get rekt by guild groups because the guild groups would be able to actually use abilities. Small groups and solo players would run around the sides of the fight skirmishing. It'd be great.

It's the slideshow that is the real problem. How we go about fixing that is entirely another conversation, though, and it's not one that ZoS seems interested in having.

    Am looking at other games.

The average CP on PC says it all. The average amount of CP on pc right now is 90. When the champion system came if you were vet cap you got 70 CP immediately. The amount of old school people that must have left for the average to be 90 must be frighteningly large. If I was bankrolling this I would be pulling people into meetings and chewing them out after finding that out. That is a sign of a huge sickness within the game.

It sounds like potential is fading, mainly due to reality appearing in the form of:

TWO PVE updates that FORCED grouping, in a game that was solo friendly up until game cap, (as long as players ignored the Undaunted dungeons and AvA). Yet, those groups were ONLY for FOUR. If you had five, one person ALWAYS has to sit out.

A "PVP update" that was pretty much designed for one class and encouraged zerging. Then, it looked like someone had realized part way thru that no PVE players would pay for the update without super-imposing PVE on TOP of the PVP..

Now, we have a NEW PVE update, with auto leveling. I created a shiney new level 1 Nightblade last night on PTS. She played thru the tutorial again, revamped and tweaked tutorial. (I create a new level one every PTS I play on, just to get a feel for how the game works for new players.) The tutorial actually felt about right, except you know, the dropping NOT into the starter islands. Then, I hunted up the Orc messenger and soloed in Orsinium for about an hour and a half.

At level 5, I was hitting like a truck, taking on three supposedly VR16 NPCs at a time, barely breaking a sweat. For a character, with NO PASSIVES, only FOUR/FIVE skills and wearing the WHITE ARMOR from COLDHARBOR STARTER QUESTS, no way in ASDF I should have felt like that. The autoleveling needs to be sent back to the shop and reworked, which WONT HAPPEN in a WEEK before this launches.

The autoleveled nodes were.. correct for a char with no SP in crafting, but, the gear drops? Abysmal, with my girl replacing only THREE items from CH before walking in the gate after about an hour of play in Wrothgar and ONE death since creation. Most of my drops were rawhide scraps. It felt like I went half an hour between getting any gear to drop at all.

The story was entrancing, so It looks like, once again, it will be good for ONE play through. I am hoping at least the public dungeons will be better for grouping at least, for my small PVE guild.

All said and done, when you get FOUR expansions in tho, potential has already given way to reality. So much now feels like visions that were ...... lost? altered? shattered.

{Edit: LOL, just realized this is in Alliance War. Well.. I DID talk SOME about AvA. HJKL. ZoS no longer even uses AvA, they call it PVP too. Shows how that vision changed too.]

Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

The 90 thing is only because Zeni used a completely convoluted method of gathering data (something about only checking the last 30 days, for people with only one veteran character).

So I gather information in a way that support my view. It is completely irrelevant that I did it in a underhanded way that ignores the reality of the situation?

Like the fact that a large portion of people that have payed and supported their game for the longest time will be over the cap.
