I don't think our enemies would say that. Dude held his Emp down like a boss. Haven't seen another DC team hold Emp in Azura that long ever.

You are joking right? DC held emp because they regularly ball up with most of the faction in one place. Your emp is terrible.

Every single emp DC has had recently plays out like this.

    "Hey we killed the emp"

"Oh cool didn't even notice him"

This essentially means that the other factions don't care to face 70 people together over dethroning someone who doesn't really effect the tide of battle. If anything we would be more worried about the health bonus you get while you are stacked up with all of your faction in one place.

I will give you that the health bonus translates to a lot of needed damage output to kill your giant horde.

You must have joined TKO. That 54+ people you wuz rolling with last night was EPIC! 54 was what my nado tagged, so I'm suspecting you guys had 3 full raids.

I take your comments about 70 people as a complement, knowing my team got to 24 for maybe 2 hours the whole weekend :-)

You have to respect the pugs that venture into pvp. It takes a certain type of masochistic personalty to stay in Cyro for so long; not to mention a curiosity that exists which has to be approached delicately if you want those pugs to stay.

We all were pugs once and someone has to train them/lead groups (even if its small teams). Anyone who tells you otherwise is an obstacle to your faction (general comment for all sides.)

I am always happy to pick up pugs. And when I get back from my vacation I intend to get back to training pugs. I actually ENJOY it. It is how I have made some of my best friends and had some of the most fun in game. I like taking green people and training them exactly as I want and need them to fight. I don't understand the elitist attitude of thinking pugs are beneath you. More often than not they're eager to be their best and contribute what they can.

That's why you don't send trainees up against the best of the best. You send in your hardcore players against them and you know who they are. EP and AD both have stellar players but they also have pugs. And they also have good teachers. (I hope). The key is recognizing your role and fulfilling it. Now if we could get DC to work together whereas some guilds agree to train and prep new players and some agree to corral the seasoned warriors and send them in the appropriate directions...think about how much we could accomplish.

Comment was open ended to support @apostate9

Not about winning at that point. It's about pop health of entire game in relation to the pop health of the faction.

At some point those seasoned veterans are going to venture off in search of real life distractions leaving you with empty spots.

Good guilds can only exist with the healthy availability of the average casual player. And vice versa.
And good players only come about with practice and patience.

I mean yeah, victories are nice and morale boosting but... there has to come a point for some of you where it just gets... utterly... tiresome. I've long reached that point already, I can't be bothered to give a damn. I PvP for good fights, not to hold stuff for stupid points on a scoreboard that does not matter in the long-run.

You plan ahead those fights? Or use the board objectives and point system to hopefully meet those fights?
The game isn't setup to randomly find those players consistently in a random part of the map. While also negating the reason behind the point system.

So, hypothetically, you go an enemy keep looking to gank players. Are players moving towards the objective you came from or setup a gank at? If not you aren't finding battles because, loosely, the enemy players care about those objectives enough to move their toons also looking for battles.

Grandest move would be emp taking. Requires groups and or entire server of players, requires you have earned tons of AP to earn top spot and knowledge of that point system to know which moves to make.

At some stage everyone playing pvp must attribute their playing with the overall point system setup by ZOS. And the morale aspect is important to overall health of server popularity for each faction. That morale is easily boosted when you take keeps or other targets.

I do agree that the current point system is boring and do for an update. But laughing at players that try to celebrate it or know how basic its understanding is to pvp, is not the way to go.

WARNING: None of this will be overly helpful

Telel has a saying they dispense to their pups in order to encourage them to think beyond their personal advancement, and stinginess in placing siege.

"If you're not playing to win the campaign with your faction then you're just playing with yourself. "

    Also

    "We're the $%$#%^% Goonies of AD ."

Though that last one is not entirely relevant it's worth noting we 'earned' that title thanks to someone disparaging the entire guild, and our meager efforts to do what it takes to pull out a campaign win.

Oh and uhmm this one has one more quote they often use a variation of when their faction's drama llamas begin their mating calls.

"Less drama Llama, more murder manatees. Now stop whinging, think positive thoughts, and go murder some EP"

Simple fact, You won't beat a core team of 12 with 24 pugs, as proved tonight. I would charge in expecting them to be with me, then baaaaam half are still alive trailed back to the keep (or dead) and no where near the crowns body.

I had the misfortune of observing a rather messy siege at Chalman. EP had been struggling to take their home keep back for some time (after dumbly abandoning it in favor of Alessia then losing Alessia to AD...) It looked very much like EP's majority poplock pitted against DC's majority poplock with siege covering the entire top deck of the inner keep and ambush groups to intercept rezzers, gankers, and runners. The inner wall came down and EP's massive might prepared to swarm in.

2/3 of them stood in the breech with oils spilling down upon them. the remaining third ran up to the top deck where they were promptly butchered by DC's tightly wound balls. Those that didn't get incinerated by the oil spa died en masse when they thought it would be better to dogpile the flag instead of clearing out resistance (that only works when there's less resistance than your offense...). So all of the exterior crew's efforts were for naught as DC mopped up the remaining forces and repaired the wall.

Where was blame assigned in EP chat? Apparently not everyone knew that 'you were supposed to go up to the top deck".

Well of course they're not gonna know that. Barely any groups were in operation. There were two major ones I could think of, SOTP and Haxus, and the rest were scattered smaller groups with a considerable amount of new players who didn't even know how you got 'volunteer' rank. There was no coordination, and every time one group tried doing something, another did something the complete opposite which utterly torpedoed the efforts of the first group.

The first pvp group I ever ran with in old Haderus didn't operate on having everyone moving on a dime and slotting steel tornado and purge. They operated as individual players whose skills complemented one another well, and it worked very well until that particular group leader decided to go full Big Brother and start trying to dictate everyone's every waking moment.

If people worried less about what skills to and to not use and stop snubbing players en masse because the dye on their armor isn't the right shade or they're not the right race, maybe players would act on a more united front. Just play the *** game and *** KILL the enemy! Support your ALLIES!

    Well said indeed!!!

I know myself and my 6 merry men oiled a lot of EP last night at Chalman when they kept trying to battering ram the inner door down(not sure if were talking about the same siege or not)...we delayed long enough for the rest of DC to get there to join in on the fun....which they did thats for sure!

I swear some of the best fights in this game happen at Chalmo, whatever side holds that keep is pretty much guaranteed a slobberknocker! :)

It happened again last night. I akf'd and when I returned, Glade and Rayles were yellow, Alma Ruma was halfway to Ash and people in zone were yelling about protecting Ales, the last Emp keep. I grabbed a few guildies and promptly went to reclaim Glade so that Ni-Mohk didn't run away like Alma. Then onto Rayles which looks so much better blue. Ash was next as it is a home keep followed by DC. I don't know if we were dethroned or not. I don't care. But I never went to Ales.
