Also I think what you people forget is that if one team defends the last emp keep, they are splitting their forces. If we did give up emp easier I can guarantee that AD hits Rayles and EP hits warden taking both of them or one will go and get emp and the other will take our scrolls. With the 1 team holed up killing 30-40 EP / AD a siege, we are stopping that 30-40 pushing on our scroll keeps making it easier for our scroll defenders.

imo the triangle home keeps should be toughened up, scrolls worth more points to the campaign, and home emp keeps weakened when 1 or more scroll gate is open.

VE literally did a victory lap around the map. The most AP/hour I've had in a really long time, which was a good break from our usual tactic of pushing over and over.

Around 11 EST some super cereal guild moved from Trueflame (after helping to dethrone Meth) to do some zerg diving. Started at Bleakers and pushed forward to the mile gate, then chal mine. Too many EP to siege, but the AP was real. It was wave after wave of EP, similar to a glitched out DSA add round.

& I think VE is still around too

We just moved along to TF when IC dropped so we get to fight our friends and former allies on a daily basis! Actually how would she know? she has been gone for a few months and never logged on the forums. She was actually asking a legit question since she found out many of the old Ad and EP guilds she used to run against are not around anymore, she is probably happy you guys are still running.

Why does everyone have to take everything in such a negative context? regardless I am happy Ve is still around, I have always respected, their members, and what they do. Hats off

As a reminder, scroll, keeps, resources all count as one point when the server tally's it every "quarter" (30 min interval for underdog bonus?)

6 home keeps with 3 resource each equals 18 resources. Plus 2 scrolls equates to 26 ideal points per cycle (not counting outposts which are 1 point each. And I forget how the underdog bonus gets applied.)

So from a scoring standpoint, taking of all points should be important and never negative. Small groups should hit resources/gank, bigger guilds hit keeps and distract big guilds. It's what made pre-IC DC successful; multi target hitting.

With that said, holding of just 2 enemy keeps equates to the following buff:

- Increases experience, alliance points, and gold gained from kills by 7% (more CP gains plus more players with AP gain for emp spot. More emp competition means more people on, more people on means level playing field.)
Increase weapon critical and spell critical by 2% (not much but any buff iis better than no buff.)

If the enemy faction is holding ales and glade, their players receive that critical buff. Making it harder for pugs to function optimally when retaking or fighting the enemy. The buff shouldn't be too much but when most aren't vr16 geared its tough since they won't have access to higher armor that negates the point of crit percentage in pvp (and shields.)

Next is why holding scrolls is important aside from emp:

- All home scrolls must be held to gain these bonuses:

Increases armor rating by 5%

Increases spell power by 5%

This is if we hold 1 enemy defensive scroll and 1 offensive. 5% armor might be better than health buff of emp. (Build pending and gotta be calc'ed.)

It must be said though if you do not hold your home keeps you do not receive the scroll and keep bonuses. That's why holding at ash to defend emp is bad from the gameboard standpoint. It's why crown moved north, took the keeps and scrolls before engaging ash.

Yes I agree everyone does their part and new groups should form to help the main guilds.
But the main guilds have to understand their names are brands and brands are the first to be looked at by new players. They want what you have and want to be apart of that power. It's important but only if used properly. If new players only want to join main guild pug groups, nothing much of new leaders can do to form groups to help take keeps (especially if ,hypothetically speaking and its not a fact, a guild group enforces close pvp groups.).

As a certain full-of-himself orcish DK whose name begins with a K and ends with a A so poignantly said; people just don't care about winning the campaign. It's very rare a population will fight on a united front. The rewards as they exist just aren't enough to justify the time and effort spent in winning campaigns. The previous cycle of rewards left alot of people disappointed, and considering the only difference between winning and losing a camp is a marginal amount of gold for your contributions, alot of people just don't care.

For me winning a camp in a competitive environment DOES feel like a big thing. It should be positive for your faction to come out on top against all odds. I've only ever been in a winning campaign twice in my ESO lifetime in a competitive server. If it wasn't EP feast in old Volendrung it was AD famine in Haderus and also old Volendrung. It made me very angry when I tried my damn hardest to get competition going on a server then I see all our progress washed down the toilet by rabid buff babies (back in the day when that was a thing) or entire guilds that would sit around jacking off for an hour stealthed in an outpost.

People just don't care sometimes, and it sucks because it should feel like a worthwhile achievement. It doesn't, and I think ZOS kind of screwed the pooch trying to artificially force choices when it came to gear and activities with IC.

I'd been taking a break myself from PVP but between full-time and IC farming burnout, I'm loath to spend what few hours I have between shifts and passing out in bed hoping for some decent action during those few hours.

I was a successful raid lead, but I also made stupid moves and mistakes. *** has yelled at me. People have criticized me. But I'm a big girl and can handle it. So can you.
