My shields make that over 40k and constantly re-appliable, done all the veteran dungeons, not a single death (there was one, but it was down to me not looking at the screen, not the characters fault).
Think your problem is with sh*t players, not sh*t characters.
Almost any, if not all PvP builds are viable in PvE IF played right. (Emphasis on the word IF!).
Don't blame the builds, blame the people utilizing them wrong.
Newsflash: Only 5% of the sorc dps players know that Conjured Ward is a thing that exists and does stuff. The rest are generally to busy doing their spam Endless furry to proc frags rotation from start to finish while laying out mines.

With heals nerfed and fights full of hot spots and adds it is no wonder that players go down. I think most players are trying their best in these delves....remember they are working under the crazy inexplicable ZOS changes that have made it really hard to find a balanced build. Want enough DPS to take down a 3 mill hts pnt boss?? You loose health points just to try to get the DPS. Most players don't have 1000 plus CP yet.....so you get players that are at a severe disadvantage. I am a healer....I KNOW most players want to get out of the red .....oops, dodge-roll has been nerfed too....not so easy anymore. This MMO started out looking like it would give everyone a chance for good, viable, fun, and unique builds. It is getting more and more "cookie-cutter" everyday with only certain builds and armor and weapon sets able to survive the onslaught.0 -

I have had this so much recently and admittedly its usually PUG dps but its still frustrating. Have 20k health or some crazy sorc damage shield you keep up or don't blame the healer's weak heals
I assure you my healer friend, as a healer myself, i know thine pain.
On the flipside, if you ever see my DPS PvP Sorc (if youre EP) in a pug vet dungeon, dont be afraid of my 17k health, 4100 spell damage build... because I keep a 20k damage shield up fulltime
