I loke the open world pvp

Iike the fact there is a pvp area where we can pve as well (ic), for those of us who enjoy a nice pvp server but cant because we cant fight within our own faction

I like the fact eso is updating their crown store constantly. Especially since im an eso + member, it gives me new goodies toook at to help enjoy the game, weither its a new pet or mount.

I likw the fact that we have the option to always have how action bars show or not

I like thw fact that the ui screen is not to cluttered with stuff

I like the fact their are so many seperate skill lines

I like the fact each class can be unique in its own way

I like the fact eso is trying to set their own path and not trying to be a replica of WoW

I LOVE THE GRAPHICS they are AMAZING, keep making your spells cool looking and making you feel bad ass ,) i feel like a *** god on my sorc lol
Please vote in the console text chat thread so ZoS can see how many people want text chat

...and dueling in the dueling thread but personally I want text chat first...

OK @Mandrel8, here is my list:

I love the character creation bit, and how you have so many options to customise not only the character’s face, hair, and accessories, but also their body shapes and voices.

I love the graphics – still during beta back in January 2014, I remember stopping in awe when after the tutorial, the Prophet dropped me off in Khenarthi’s Roost beach. It was the same feeling I had when, the first time I played Oblivion, I stepped out of the Imperial Prison and looked at Vilverin across the lake.

I love the characters you find while you quest – some have good backstories and really funny comments to offer. Some of the mobs even can make really funny comments sometimes (I sneak a lot so I can get close to them and listen).

I love veteran levels, and how I am no longer obliged to pay attention to the enemy mob’s level to be sure I do quests within my character’s level range. So if I’m starting the V3 zone, I can go in any direction because all enemies in that zone are V3 – it gives a lot more flexibility and allows exploring the zone more freely.

I love the little details you find while exploring, like a skeleton crushed by falling rocks, and other funny things you find if you’re not just mindlessly rushing from quest to quest.

I love the crafting system, the many things you can collect (aren’t we at 400+ recipes for provisioning?).

I love the music, sometimes it makes me very nostalgic of the previous games which I adored.

I love the combat gameplay and how you can choose between light attacks, heavy attacks, casting magic spells, using abilities, blocking, interrupting, dodging ( or just sneaking about to avoid a fight).

I love having zone and guild chat turned on and keeping me company even if more than 90% of the time I play solo.

I love that I can choose how I want to play, and that the game does not force you into a given activity even at the (current) max level of V16: I can pvp in Cyrodiil, do group content with the Undaunted pledges, solo random mobs all over the Vet zones and still get materials and a bit of XP, gather crafting mats like flowers and runes, sit and chat with other players, roleplay, participate in guild events or even join up with other random players and just have fun. Just yesterday night I had a ton of fun with 3 other players – we were all ungrouped in IC gathering stuff, doing our own thing, but when we joined each other we were only stronger for it.

I love that this game has given me the opportunity to meet some really fantastic people, and make new friends. As someone coming over from Bethesda’s single-player games, this is what will probably keep me from disappearing completely into Fallout 4 when it comes out.

I love that the company giving us this game is trying to please players from very different backgrounds and with different expectations, trying to keep a balance for all of us.

Oops… I’m over 10 things… and I could go on but I’ll leave it at that for now ☺

Not only that, they sometimes have amusing text as well underneath. My favourite is the following:

The refuge below Rawl'kha is the haunt of the Darkmoon Prowlers, an "All-Khajiiti Gang" … which means they'll admit non-Khajiiti members, but only if they agree to wear a cat-mask.

Great idea for a post! I agree, it is about time there was more positive threads around. And you are right, it would SEEM like there is more negativity as the MAJORITY who actually enjoy the game; are playing the game.

The 10 things I like about the game:

    1. The graphics (character and environment)
    2. Gameplay (so smooth and satisfying, no lag or fps issues like in most other big games) (for me anyway)
    3. I love the extra customisation that comes with veteran ranks and champion points
    4. I love the RvR aspect of the game and is the only game that has even come close to Warhammer online RvR
    5. I love the dungeons and playing as a group (its rare on console due to lack of text box) but when it does happen its really fun!
    6. I love that you can design your own custom class. As someone said before; i always choose the skills the self proclaimed pros think are "trash".
    7. I love the character design
    8. I like the crafting system
    9. I LOVE the Dye system
    10. I love the IC's PvPvE system
    11. I love that it is just an Elder Scrolls that i can play online and see other adventurers going about their business.

    • I like the diversity in character creation, armor styles, dying. No one character looks like another
    • I really like that i can still craft gear at end game that is useful, and even competitive with the gear that you have to farm. and not just one item but a full set.
    • I like fact that a lot of one's role is defined by armor and weapon skills and passives, and only accentuated with the class skill tree morphs and racial passives, allowing any character to truely do anything
    • I like that i have a progression system (champion points) that allows my character to improve even when I have the best gear and am at level cap.
    • I like that the game allows magicka and stamina based play styles
    • i like the PVP concept of sieging keeps and defending them,
    • I like that PVP and PVE have their own reward/purchaseable loot, and to earn certain items and sets one must do the appropriate content
    • I like that the ZOS' forum representatives are active and respond and comment on threads
    • I like that i can experience the other faction stories without being forced to join another faction

Disclaimer: all of thee things i like are good ideas, nice concepts, and give added value, or shape the game in a way i think it should be shaped. but that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement on these systems.

The OP insinuated one should list things that you don't want to change, there is nothing that is perfect and that cannot be improved upon, even things im appreciative of and enjoy can become more enjoyable

Thanks rb and Glaiceana. I agree. We're all in fits of laughter at my place at the moment because out of the thousands of people playing this game there's only 6 people with anything good to say!

Age old problem for MMO's,,,, The people most fully appreciating and enjoying the game are spending their free time,,, well,, playing and enjoying the game ? Forums are usually where players go either to ask a gameplay-related question, or to comment on something wrong.

I just now encountered the thread, and honestly, it will take me some time and thought to narrow down all of the things I love about ESO to the top 10.

    No problem, here goes:
    1. The INSANE graphics! Im constantly taking screenshots of this amazing game!
    2. The size of the game. I feel like i've been playing for ages, i almost just started Cadwells silver, but i still have plenty of areas to explore
    3. The exploration part of the game. Its so massive and its still filled with chests, quests, breathtaking scenery random NPC encounters etc.
    4. The immersion. I think they've done an awesome job combining the "Elder Scrolls singleplayer universe/experience" with an "MMO universe/experience", not to mention how well it synergizes with previous Elder Scrolls games like Oblivion and Skyrim.
    5. The quests. I rarely skip the NPC dialogues and I usually listen to the stuff they have to say, after i got the quest or quest update. I especially like how most of the quests are somewhat "different". In an MMO its usually, "Kill 20 of these", then "Kill 5 of these to get whatever they drop", then "Kill 10 of these" etc.
    6. The combat system and how you need to pay attention to the mobs/fights instead of just smashing buttons.
    7. The skill system and the limited amount of active skills you can use. Especially the diversity of just because i play a tank, i can still start to use a healing staff if i wanted to.
    8. The crafting system. I love that it isn't as simple as WoW for example. I think it separates the serious crafters from the "meh crafters"
    9. That you can customize how your gear looks with different styles and dyes.
    10. The Guild trader system. Absolutely ingenious that you have to be in a big trading guild, to secure the good spots and thereby increasing your chance of selling your stuff.
    11. Im probably getting bashed on this one, but the short loading times. I came from Destiny to TESO and Destiny is taking AGES to load and you have to load much more often than in TESO. Yes its annoying when you get the occasional 30-40 sec loading time, but thats NOTHING compared to Destiny.
    12. The justice system and how you can steal stuff right in front of NPC's without getting noticed - if you time it right of course.
    13. The music is always perfectly matched to what you do or where you are.
    14. The small details. I really think the small details makes a big difference in this game. Like how a book or note is written depending on the NPC's personality. Or how areas are decorated with baskets, flasks, food, hidden cellars etc. - I think it adds a lot to the overall perception of the game, that eventhough houses, huts, delves etc. is similar looking, its never the same.
    15. That ZOS haven't given up on the game or us, eventhough this whole forum is filled with people who whine about the smallest stuff.

Edit: Having said all of this, i still think some parts of the game needs to be tweeked, but thats for another thread

I agree that the game has excellent quests, graphics, music, dialogue, and visual, sound, and voice over effects.

... but the OP post it misses the point! Yes, this game has a lot of eye candy, but eye candy alone doesn't make a MMO sustainable.

Second, many of the players who have legitimate complaints are players like me who have been around since beta and have submitted numerous bug reports for the same major bugs over and over again. Many of these players use the forums as a form of feedback to the developers since they don't reply to bug reports. Generally, if a poster has four or more stars it indicates that the poster has been involved in many forums discussions and most likely understands the game mechanics extremely well.

Third, its game play that makes a MMO great, not eye candy. ESO has three negatives that greatly out shine all of its positives that were stated in this discussion and these are: end game content, risk versus rewards, and game mechanics.

I was once an ESO milk drinker too, but after 3000 hours leveling three characters to VR14, and leveling five to VR1, the quests, the grinding, the combat , and the crafting were starting to get tiresome and tedious. The first time I played ESO it was exhilarating, like the first time you ride the new theme part ride in Disney world, but after the third time the ride loses its luster.I still play ESO, but not as much as I used to, but I'm hoping that eventually the game will evolve into something better.

Hey RSram, your post about me missing the point has, er, missed the point.
No one is saying you shouldn't complain or that you don't have a cause to do so.
There are thousands of threads where you can do that but this one isn't the right one!
Surely a game this big, played by so many people deserves just ONE thread where people can post their positive thoughts!!

It takes very little time to make a post. This post for instance took me less than 2 minutes. I can play and enjoy the game the same and still make a post about things I dislike. This whole "People that enjoy the game are playing it instead of posting" is a bunch of BS. Because I enjoy the game, play most days after work and a lot on the weekends, but I still have a lot of issues with the game and have time at work to make post about the things I dislike.

    3. I like how Dark Anchors look and feel.
    4. I like that the quests in this game try to avoid the "Quest Hub" design from past MMOs.

    6. I like that I can enter a Group Dungeon solo, duo, trio or full with players of any level.
    7. I like that there are chests of varying difficulty scattered throughout each zone.
    8. I like the Combat system.
    9. I like that the Guild Trader system allows me to buy things without needing to join a Guild.

^^^Agreed and I would add that I also like Veteran Ranks to that list.

I try to post in defense of certain things and I'm always crushed by the opposition on these forums to things like CP's, but I agree with the O.P for every 10 people complaining on the forums about something, there is a thousand loving said complaint.
