At the top of the forums, we have "PC/Mac North American megaserver maintenance – September 24, 8:00AM EDT (13:00 BST)".

What's up with the unexpected maintenance? (Please tell me that this is a fix for the loading screens.)

    If it is for a duplication bug, the faster they can put in a fix the better. Duplication bugs are some of the worst, most exploitable bugs possible. I'd put it at a higher priority than the (admittedly pretty bad and pretty damn high priority) trap bug and loading screens.

    Really? Last time there was a dupe bug, they knew about it before launch and launched anyway - only patching it when someone posted it youtube. Surprised they are hustling this time.

    Someone probably just found a way to enjoy the game, and they are going to nerf that immediately. Back to the grind!

    I know, I was around and playing the game then. Most destructive bug the game has seen, and the amount of damage done by the time they finally patched it was immense. It's one of the biggest reasons gold sellers thrived in ESO in those days (and for a while after).

    Good. Remember this tale, tell it to your children. I have already caught a few apologists coming up with a revisionist historical versions where it was never reported in beta and ZOS fixed it within hours of launch. There are many who wish to see this story forgotten. For me it was the best foreshadowing of all the other issues to come. Should have seen the writing on the wall then.

    Just to clarify to everyone: the duplication bug was just a suggestion, NOT an actual problem (or whether it actually exist).

    We still don't know what the patch maintenance is about.

    They used to do this all the time. Patch was Monday / Tuesday and they did server maintenance (no patching to the game) later in the week. Server stability was always better back then, too!

    Let us know... Usually there's a prompt when executing the launcher about maintenance. I understand that the game has to be fixed and servers maintained but it was a total *** punch to log on for a planned session and get the maintenance notification. A couple of days after maintenance. Not everyone scours the forums for unplanned patches and it's a real let down for the dedicated players. Hopefully it's back up soon great game zenimax bug riddled and maintenance heavy from the get go.

    I do not say that fix is not low priority but there is a lot of exploits, glitches and bugs that were long time reported and no fixes for them. Anyway, I hope those cheaters get their account banned or the duped items removed (also the ill gotten gold amounts they may have amassed)
