Pretty bad when fixing beams is more important than fixing lag.

Coincidentally, I came back yesterday because of the email about halloween items, and the mind shriven skin looked like a good deal.

The load times were significantly longer now than they were a month ago. It took me nearly 10 minutes to get from the launcher finishing patching to actually being in game on my character.

Still no hint of a hint about when this will be addressed. Didn't log in at all at the weekend, purely because of the ridiculously long loading times, i used to be on 3-4 hrs each day. Not anymore.


Still, at least we got a green message saying this thread was moved to the correct category..priorities and all that.

I do not know, if message from Zenimax is good. Moved to the correct category? Now? This problem is here from DLC IC launch.
I like this game, but Zenimax killing this game with their steps. Bad priorities. We will have Orsinum DLC, good, but it is not priroty for gamers, but only for Zenimax. Beceause for DLC are money, for polishing game are not. Zenimax must see that the players wanes. Locations are empty.

I wish that fix worked for the consoles, but the issues are exactly the same on the Xbox One. Just travelling in Cyrodiil can take several minutes, and by then your group have got stroppy and left you behind, which leaves you to the mercy of the gankers. Then people rage quit. Sad, really. I wonder what Bethesda makes of all of this.

We are closing this thread as it is an older discussion that has been bumped. Below you will find troubleshooting if you still encounter long loading screens in ESO.

Getting stuck on a loading screen is frequently caused by an add-on. Go ahead and uninstall your addons and try to log in again. To fully remove your add-ons, do the the following in this specific order:

1. Exit the game
2. Navigate to C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live in windows explorer
3. Rename Addons to Addons.old
4. Rename SavedVariables to SavedVariables.old
5. Check in-game to see if the if the issues persist.

If the issue does not persist, then one of your add-ons is creating the issue. Try re-enabling your preferred add-ons one-by-one in order to determine which is causing the problem.

Changing game settings back to default can also help If the issue persists:

1. Open the game and go to the settings menu [Esc].
2. Go to each subsection, Social, Gameplay, etc. and reset all settings to defaults.
3. Once this is done, try starting the game again.

If after resetting to default and clearing your add-ons and the issue continues, turn off your PC completely, reboot your router and try again.
