Has anyone completed any of the new sets yet?

Has anyone fully upgraded to the new set armors? it seems really hard to get those drops and i feel it will take forever, i just want to see if anyone so far completed their sets! not the rings ofcourse, im talking about armor sets. it just sucks the new sets are bound on pickup, which prevents a lot of us from buying them from guild traders!

I went for a craft-able armor set, for me as a somewhat casual player these new sets are basically impossible to ever get.

Our team can't complete vWGT or vICP, so we've resigned to farming the normals (which we steam roll through without problem), and neither of us have received a piece of any set we'd like. In about 15-20ish runs I think maybe 4-5 sets have dropped for someone, but it's usually one we don't want, also ones with terrible traits. Who doesn't like an agility axe of training, yeah?

On the other hand, the amount of lost hatchets and frostbite staffs we found is pretty funny we could probably melt them all down and craft a set of new armor.

While I'm at it, why is the disposition to having a token system a'la WoW? The bottleneck my team is in right now is making it really hard to justify logging in. If we run this dungeon 20 more times is it really entitlement to want at least one or two pieces of armor from the sets we're striving for? With our current pacing we might have someone in their Sheer Venom in about a month or two, and maybe then be ready to tackle vWGT and vICP.

I don't know, the gear treadmill feels pretty punishing especially as far as RNG is concerned. For people lacking a whole bunch of CPs and optimal race / class combos, the new vet dungeons are a bit trying and it honestly wouldn't be bad if we knew if we could push through some normals to get some new gear to get ready to face Molag Keena or Lord Dusk in vet. Right now it feels like a chore, and a boring one at that as the normal dungeons provide no challenge whatsoever.

My only complaint on the difficulty of the vet dungeons is the slog through the normal and the poor RNG chance to get prepared to face vets. Everything else is a walk in the park, it's sad we're fighting Lord RNG over and over and over again.

None of the new gear interests me. The 5pc bonuses are boring and uninspired. The worst part is that there are only three endgame ring sets. Goodbye to theorycrafting and mix/matching sets.

im having the same problem with the third boss in vWGT, it's just really bad mechanics in my opinion and it requires huge dps which we cant get without the new sets. and yes i completely agree with all what i said.

Sheer Venom is awesome because i think it procs from Poison Injection

bought the jewelry sets by selling tel var accuired sets pcs from chests, sold drops from mobs in IC. sticking with crafted sets for now.

I have 5pc spell cure, 4pc overwhelming

I have agility weapon + shield + necklace, still need to get a ring so i can switch out the weapon. Also have 2 vr16 black rose pieces and the rest vr15 until I can upgrade to vr16 pieces. A pain to gather tel var stones. Black Rose isnt the most fun set but it gives stamina and the weapon damage is nice which will work nicely for my tanking build.

Agreed about the uninteresting new gear sets. I have 5 pieces of vr14 Hawk's Eye that I upgraded to legendary. I'm not giving that up for any of the new sets anytime soon.

I ran a dungeon the other day in a pick-up group with a magicka nightblade who had managed to get 5p Spell Power Cure. It was pretty cool; I noticed the blue glow on my arms, thought back to my time on the PTS, and asked the person if they had 5p SPC. Apparently they had gotten extremely lucky with the drops. I've run the dungeons a couple dozen times, and I still have just one SPC piece.

at least not all of the sets, there are several sets that are now scaled to v16, and some sets are only raised to v14 that dropped before in V12, e.g. Androitness. And some, e.g. the ones from the trials are V12 (besides sanctum)

Farm, Grind, RNG or spend hundreds of thousands of gold....

And some of the sets I am after don't even come in VR16...and no VR16 jewellery with 5 set bonus...with almost no heavy armor magicka sets...

Yeah no thanks. Terrible system and terrible design choices.

I deconned my vr15 spellpower cure belt in divines last night, it was the only decent drop in 8 runs,

But i will never use it on my dps and wont have time to level a healer because i will be running the dungeons untill christmas on my main.

The good news is, i have my vr16 nerenieth set complete and 2 willpower sets, for pve and pvp and a phoenix set

And i have a million more than before the patch, even after spending 2 million on new gear

So in a way it is good that now i have a goal, the mindless zerging and ap farming (why oh why) in IC is allready starting to get a bit boring

otherwise there is only 1 stam, 1 mag and 1 hp outfit

Let's just say I've completed these dungeons MANY MANY TIMES. I have one complete set of any use.

Good luck, casual players, you will never, ever get these sets done lol.
