Why do people need to be so annoying in this game

I'll kill a group of mobs and instead of helping me so random will run and get the chest.... same when i'm getting mats people just ignore other people.

If someone dies instead of reviving them most people just walk away, i don't see why the 121 gold it'll cost you for a gem isn't exactly going to break your finances..

The worst is by far when your grinding, 4 of us will hapily be doing a rotation, waiting until there grouped up so everyone can get a hit in... you just being normal.

Some random kid who is there to grind themselves obviously will start single hitting stuff, spliting the groups of mobs, pulling down everyone exp and gaining no exp for themselves... why? whats the point? you literally need to touch a mob once to get the full exp.

Is this the same on xbox or pc or did us on ps4 just get all the 12 yr old kids?

I agree about the chests but I can't stand when grinders feel like they own an area and questers be damned because grinders were there first.

FWIW, I usually don't revive people because they have been annoying and I'm not going to waste a soul gem on yet another a node-ninja. It won't kill them to revive at the wayshrine for free.

Considering the number of corpses I keep passing, I disagree.

If I'm in a group, I'll revive someone. If not, I lead fleshflies to their location to clean up the mess.

^ This. It started long ago with players in D&D that were "rules lawyers" and "munchkins".

See, it's because of some of the things listed here that I prefer to play this game solo (when the option is given and logical). I'm apart of a few guilds, but the majority of those guilds are commerce/trading-based. This avoids plenty of the direct contact required with other people. Although, when it comes to "group dungeons"... I have to team-up with people (usually guild members, so it's a bit more tolerable), in order to complete the daily dungeon pledge(s). Part of the reason also why I tend to dislike the "social" aspect of this game, is due to the fact that I currently play on PlayStation 4. And you guessed it... Voice chat (which I usually immediately turn off as soon as I login).

As for the benefits of playing solo? 1. I don't have to revive anyone, but myself if I die. It's not "implied" of me to revive anyone. Plus, if I die? It's my fault. No one else's fault. Nor problem for that matter. 2. I can play at my own pace. I don't have to be mindful of moving at a certain pace, in order to be considerate to others. If I want to speed through quests? I can do it. If I want to slow down, and take my time? I can. 3. I don't have to deal with anyone's incompetence to get the job done. Which somewhat connects to benefit #1. I don't have to sit there and be irritated by a build or play-style which annoys me. I simply can do things my way, and deal with all the cons and pros that come with it. 4. I can get to learn the ins and outs of things based on my character, and its numerous play-styles. I don't have to exactly use what is working for other people, in order to be accepted by others. I can just reach that platform by myself. And take my time doing so. These reasons also tying into what was listed previously. 5. I don't have to rely on anyone to craft anything for me, or be on their schedule of when they will be "available" to do such things. I have 1 character that is Level 50 in: Blacksmithing, clothing, provisioning, and woodworking. So yep, I can make what I want, when I want, and how I want. All I have to do is just stash it in the bank for whenever I need it.

So yes, I highly advise you (OP) or anyone who is tired of putting up with annoying players, to play solo a LOT more. You'll begin to appreciate the game a lot more. And if you want group activities, I suppose they're always available. Just be aware of the bad that comes with the good.

Outside of things like group dungeons and PVP it's pointless to try to revive someone because

    A. If they're lying there dead for any period of time odds are they're AFK and won't be able to accept the revive anyway
    B. There's no urgency to get them back into the fight
    C. They can just revive for free at the nearest wayshrine anyway (and the nearest wayshrine is never very far)

Because unfortunately, people in this world are mean. It's that simple. Especially with the age of The Internet. People have the tools now to be mean people, and get away with it entirely. Simply because of the fact that there is an anonymous factor being thrown into the mix. A veil if you will of "privacy", which lets them (the person choosing to be mean) get away with being mean, and not have to worry about the consequences behind it. Also, there's a common belief that an individual shouldn't take the things which transpire on The Internet seriously. Regardless of the severity of some of the things which are done, and or transpiring. Personally? I think we (as people) should tone it down a bit. And chill sometimes. True indeed it's The Internet, but still. There are people sitting behind these screens playing/posting. Not A.I./NPC's. And because of this, be a tad bit more considerate on some of the things we do and say. BUT! That's just my own personal thoughts on things. Oh, and to add on to why people do things to purposely annoy others. We're in the "Age of Trolling" (which I think is damn shame).

Because different things bother different people. Maybe they didn't see you. Maybe they don't care. Maybe they just like making people angry. Seriously, posts like this bother me significantly more than anything you described.

If someone is fighting something right by a chest you leave the chest for them. Always. Only if they explicitly tell you to take it do you go and take it. If you go and grab it while they're fighting then you haven't done anything against the TOS, and you can't be reported for griefing or anything, but you are a ***.
