Stam vs. Magic Templar?

It was my understanding that temps' bread and butter was magicka, yet I'm seeing a lot of people say to go stamplar. It was my understanding that most of the healing spells scaled off of magic, so why would a stamplar be a good idea, especially after the stam/block nerf and the werewolf stam regen nerf on top of that?
If a stamplar IS a good idea, what would a good build be? Been a magic-user since beta, so going stam on my temp would be a big adjustment for me.

✭✭✭✭✭I should add that I want to explore the sewers for the most part, or explore the IC fighting the trash mobs up there; I'm not much of a pvper.
I just want to go through the sewers without getting wrecked by two xivkyn and a fire mage, more or less. ✭✭✭✭✭As is the trend with altering morphs for stam builds since launch, generally you can get higher DPS for stamplars but magicka Templars are better with heals/sustain. Shinra✭✭✭Stemplars are so strong because of the jabs morph that deals insane damage.
Most popular build ist "Jabsmania" or something like that. google should be able to tell you more about it.1 -

✭Its much easier to get high weapon damage than spell damage, that makes stamina builds have more damage, but you lose your heals.Edited by tplink3r1 on August 1, 2015 7:41PMVR16 Templar
