this is intended, it will deal nothing or so little damage from the beginning, but you will se if i do hit it on a low health player or adds it will hit so hard that its feels like they was hit by a train.
Still a grudge, only to see false what u want and nothing less.

Yeah, they specifically said they were going to FIX crit. For some reason on live this skill can never crit on the first hit, even with 100% crit. They said they were fixing it so that could crit as well. Looks like you found a bug/oversight, then.

20% nerf to damage + 50% reduction to damage in pvp + removal of crit chance = Useless ability. 2002 base spell damage = 6k damage x 3 for a whole 18k damage that can be avoided. Seriously you give magicka Templars one good ability then nerf it to a worthless state. Then you toss tokens like stackable eclipse or 10% damage increase to javelin and expect the Templars to be happy with sub par abilities. Why not just say all Templars have to be clothe healers no exception. I would like to have my balls back please.

Not just that, but all armor that provides damage boosts (Martial Knowledge, Shadow Walker) had their damage buffs dropped as well. So not only are people taking less damage, but for whatever reason, now they don't have as much ability to do damage either. My entire build was hit with the nerf bat really, REALLY hard -- both for my Nightblade and Templar DPS builds.

    8DMuY9p.png

On the exact same build, I've gained 3K physical resistant, but went from 2021 Spell Damage down to 1820 (an 11% drop). I've also gone from 7,357 physical resistance up 10,551 (a 43% boost). Add in the 20% damage drop in Cyrodiil, factor both the 11% drop in damage and 43% armor boost, and everything is going to be harder to kill, take less damage and really draw things out. In the end, this ends up really being a huge nerf to my Templar both in PVE and PVP. I've also spent so much time and in-game gold to get my gear that I feel it's all been wasted.

On one hand, this will definitely make the game harder (something pretty much everyone has asked for). But I'd rather the enemies have gotten a minor buff than all my gear/time/effort have gotten such a nerf.

I hated using Radiant Oppression (I always felt it was cheap) but it was the one skill I /knew/ I could do damage with. It won't be bad, but... I'm really dreading how much nerfbat I've just taken. It was the skill of last resort.

Yeh the patch notes were pretty disappointing for a Templar. Usually when it is a major update there is at least one thing class changes section of patch notes to get my attention, but I could honestly do without any of the changes they made to Templar. Pretty much nothing of use or significance this go around.

I know a couple of Templar that took this stance on it and I find them to be pretty annoying. I didn't see any Nightblades feeling guilty of cheap for spamming fear, cloak. Sorcs were not feeling guilty or cheap for bolt escape spam and hardened ward spam. Dks were not feeling cheap or guilty for using an ability that ignores dodge rolls or using their spammable root. Stam builds didn't feel guilty or cheap for using their camo hunter exploit, infinite dodge roll builds, or insta kill combos.

But Templar are so used to sucking, as far as having powerful/useful skills goes, that they actually feel guilty and cheap when they finally get a defining/strong class ability. OMG, I actually have a useful skills for DPS now, please take it away.

Just sad that Templars are being treated like this. Honestly since the nerf to heals in pvp and now this. All the Templars need to roll stam DPS and not heal any groups. Lets see how long players survive without a Templar healing. Yeah sorcs can use a resto staff and others class can to and lets not forget about vigor and the other minor heal abilities. But since they all took a nerf as well it wont be long before every class realizes they need Templars and it was all of their whining about radiant oppression that cost us our good ability.

BOYCOT healing till this is changed back to the live version.

LOL, RD not critting is just a bug(i hope). And did you see how they nerfed Eclipse, not viable for Templar in PvP anymore.<-- minus 1 class skill for PvP, worse than all previous templar nerfs. Think i should create a thread with request of reverse cap change.
    Pls support this thread:

Remember how they gave us Blazing Shield a year ago and how "good" it works now! :'(

The culprits are all the templar players not complaining, not lobbying, those who have hidden over a year behind their guild-/pvp-group and did not write a word about the subsequent nurfs to their class. They contributed to this "nurf of a never-op-class" step by step..

yeah nothing better than popping blazing shield in pvp atm and getting a 4k shield out of it!

but wait!!!! when it pops it will do a MASSIVE 2k damage to my enemies!!!

I hoped they would give us our "old/pre-1.6 Blazing Shield" back (which was never OP compared to hardened ward, etc.).
This patch would have been a great opportunity to fix things but 'they' must been under pressure because of all the planned dlc-content. You WILL see no templar love until the end of the year (if ever!!).

I highly suggest not to touch your templars or put any more $$ in this..

Jesus beam does in no way at all need any buffs.

I see a lot of this, and usually I keep my opinions to myself. However:

Radiant Destruction and its morphs are abilities. Abilities should crit. Allowing Radiant to crit is not a buff, it is the way the game works.

To @ZOS_GinaBruno and anyone else watching this, I don't really understand how there can be a discussion. Radiant should obey the standard rules of critical chance, for each tick.

In all fairness, I generally don't use Fear on my Nightblade because I think it's a cheap skill. =P

Templar-wise, I really don't feel any of the attack skills are necessarily good. Different, but good. Bubbling? Meh. Too situational. The sun-dial o' doom? Again, too situational and it's better to damage up front than later on. Most of the skills just don't have that same impact as other classes, hence why Templars feel they suck so much. That, and instead of having 3 branches of attack skills, they've got two.
