You also have to consider the fact that people tend to stay quiet and dont bother when something happens and they are happy with it or doesnt care.

The biggest uproar is made by those who disagree with something and want to express opposite opinion. Thats why even if the vote will go with a slight advantage of "no" votes, ZOS still have to account for all those people who are okay with VR16 or just are not bothered enough by it to come here and "no" it, meaning they are pretty much for "yes".

Yes, i dont mind getting new vr16 gear that is more exciting than the current martial art stuff that i found in a cyro cave in like 2 days when 1.6 hit

Also i pvp a lot and some days (evenings) i get like 3 to 4 cp easy just running around and having fun, so i will be vr16 superquick and wont even grind for it

Where is the 'Don't care' option? I will still be grinding the champion points so I will get the new rank anyways. The only thing that I see that affects me is that I have to make new gear. V14 or V16, it doesn't matter as it is just a number and numbers mean absolutely nothing to me. I play the game for enjoyment. For those who have grinding spots, you are talking less than a day. It is pure experience points and they are not only boosting the gain but lowering the threshold. As I don't spend all of my time on my V14, I suspect that it will take me a week to get V16. I am going to be working on gaining xp for the champion system anyways.

Do I want vet ranks gone? For my lower vet characters, it would be nice, but from a practical standpoint, I suspect that we will see V20 before the veteran ranks are removed. That would give them a even number for conversions for items.

Keyword here: "New Content"...... There is no new content for this increase. They are still "talking" about Imperial City?!?!?! What .... something that has been promised to us since launch. AND adding new zones with more quests is not considered real content for many MMO players.

Being at cap means you can focus on rounding out your character and actually making them more powerful. Gaining more vertical "progression" levels is an illusion of progression unless you routinely go back to lower level content just to kill it faster, but with no loot, no xp, what's the point? Even in games that you do get loot in once you've outleveled the mobs, the loot is largely useless because it's too low level for you to care about, and the crafting mats are too low level for it to be useful.

So you continue doing content that is designed for your level, and you know what? Those mobs scale with you. No matter how much you "progress", the mobs progress with you, keeping the time to kill and difficulty fairly level. If anything, it actually starts taking longer to kill mobs as you level up, so you're not progressing, you're falling behind the curve.

Once you reach cap and there's no more vertical "progression" your character can progress. Mobs stop scaling up with you, your power grows through better gear, and horizontal progression systems like CP/Paragon levels, etc. The mobs stay the same while you just get more powerful, you kill it much faster, and get loot faster, make money faster, and when you fight a player who's the same level as you but doesn't have as much gear as you or hasn't honed their skills as much as you, you see just how far you've progressed since reaching the "end" of character progression.

Gaining more levels is just a sham, an illusion, it's pulling the wool over your eyes.

Running endlessly on the wheel is for hamsters.

I gotta be honest, everyone whining about ZoS pwomised meeeee wuhaaa wu wu waaaah! This is an mmorpg! In RPG's there are levels, you gain exp then get a level and your stats increase! With new content the cap is being raised to vr16 freaking get the hell over it.

Until some Albert Einstein is hired by ZoS and actually figures out how to remove Ranks w/o COMPLETELY destroying the game we love, this is how it will be! New content = new cap, and since a lot of you are technically vr15 because your bar is full that means we actually have to earn 1 level.

In summary, play the game you love and have fun or quit! It's that simple... I for one hope we continue to see new Ranks every couple months on top of an additional 3600 CP's!

problem is, if all u get from new content is champ points, well its way faster to just grind them. they need to outright kill grinding for champ points if they want incentive for people to do new content. I suggest HEAVY exp penalties when youve gotten more than so many per day. and enlightened ones are immune to this penalty. on your 5th non enlightened point for the day? thatll take 2 million exp thanks=)
