Without these Race/Class combos...you won't get into a end game guild!

These are the only viable race/class combos in the game.

You still think Elder Scrolls allows any race to succeed with any playstyle they want? Put down the Kool-aid kid....this game has less options than other MMORPGs when it comes to race. You won't even get in an end game guild without these combos!



You can replace any of these races with the $20 extra imperial race and you'll still be fine. Now lets begin...

Dragon Knight - Dark Elf....if you are not a Dragon Knight Dark Elf then you are destroying your chances end game. With increased damage to fire spells you can really dish out the damage. But it doesn't end there...oh no....you also have a massive amount of fire resistance which enables you to become a vampire with little down side sacrificed for the INCREASED damage you dish out!

Sorcerer - High Elf - They have the highest magic damage in the entire game "for sorcerers not going fire". Want to actually help your guild end game as a sorcerer? Go high elf!

Templar - Breton - Breton has decreased spell cost and increased magicka. Ideal for healing small and large groups.

Nightblade - Imperial - Prior to the changes to soft cap I'd say Khajiit. But not now. Imperial have not only increased stamina and health, but they also restore health per hit.

Agree or Disagree with these combinations?

I have Nord Templar played as Destro Staff with 4 Light/ 3 Hvy - works fine.

I have an Orc DK, played as Destro Staff, with all light armour, works fine.

I have a Nord Sorcerer with Sword+Board and all Hvy - works fine.

Don´t min/max and just have fun. Also the class/race combos you mentioned aren`t the only ones viable, depending on your build.

Your agenda is to have the passives nerfed to the ground or changed to fit what YOU think is best. L2P please. I do just fine in DSA with an ORC Sorc

Redguard Stam NB here. Nothing better for my money 10% stam 9% regen plus almost 1k stam every 3 secs while in combat.

Redguard Magicka Templar here too. Just got Emp. 13.5 Stam allows me to break cc and dodge roll out of trouble

I don't know what guild you got denied from, but I haven't run into a guild yet that has any kind of race restriction. My Templar healer is an imperial and I am top 10 on everything other than Vet DSA ATM in NA.

There are several ways in game to help circumvent the supposed lacking racial passives to help fit your ideal build. For the most part, the racial passives were built to give help toward certain roles but never were they designed to be the definitive 'best' of anything unless you have the proper gear, skills and passives that make it so.

As far as most people are concerned, race isn't the end-all-be-all of class effectiveness, and only certain min-maxers (and even then, some of them don't care too much) think of the 'proper' race to class choices as mandatory for endgame success.

Breton Sorcs are perfectly fine to use. For the most part players that know what they are doing can use just about any race for any class.

What frustration? I and friends of mine are in multiple guilds that are on the leader boards regularly and we go through getting emperor in Cyrodil constantly. There has NEVER been one single peep the entire time I've played about people needing to be certain race/class combos. EVER. You're making things up and LYING to people who are new to the game. You're literally lying to them. Go away.

I like min/maxing a lot, but I'm not going to force it onto another player. If they want to play a stamina khajiit sorcerer I don't care as long as the dungeon gets run. For me, being the best I can be is fun. For others, they have a different idea of fun and that's fine :P

I do disagree. So does my VR14 Nord DK. 2H stamina DPS WW? I'll see your silly archetypal blanket statements and raise you death.

I mean no disrespect toward your opinions, but a dark elf with a flame destro staff is but ONE of many possible builds with a DK. The build you mentioned is very good on paper - even in application - when built correctly. I've played it. It's just not the end-all be-all of Tamrielic civilization. One's chances end game are far from destroyed disregarding that build; the only thing destroyed is the misconception that one must follow a rigid guideline to have a good, fun time in Tamriel.

Breton Templar Stamina Tank/DPS, completed VDSA and Trials. Even tanked and DPSed Veteran City of Ash, on hard mode. I have 11k sustained DPS, 9k on things with thick armor. I also run with endgame centric guilds, because results are more important than min/maxing.

Sorry, but the moment you mentioned min/maxing and the "elitist" exclusionary mentality, you tripped a landmine.
ESO delivers on build variety. Races are preferences, classes specializations. No one player is restricted from a role or content because of the choices they made in character creation.
