the Orignal EQ launch was fine, especially compared todays games and taken into context of the infancy of MMO's. EQII had a fairly clean launch as well. It's only problem was that so many people were in the starter zones playing that it was hard to complete quests do to lack of mobs.
That's EVERY MMO- I remember it took FOOOOREEEEEEEEEEVER to do the quests in Aion for the first several days because you could NEVER find anything you needed.
Final Fantasy XIV had no problems?! . . . I . . . Really?

The game is not a mess. It is actually quite the opposite, which is why it is unfortunate that some people are having problems. The problems will be sorted out and resolved, and many already have been. This is not nearly as bad as the PC/Mac launch, and even that one was not the worst MMO launch.I am now 1060950 in the queue and I will be connecting in 1 second
Just for the record, I would not under any circumstances consider these numbers to be anywhere even remotely close to being in the same neighborhood as accurate. This is why they will be fixing them as soon as they can release a patch, which will probably be in 1 to 2 weeks.

Complain and complain some more, on forums and social media. Until you begin putting a dent into either a company's image or bottom line, nothing will change.
I love how everyone is saying expect problems and that's mmo. How about no. I paid for a game and I expect it to be playable. If it not then they should be offering refunds.

I GUARENTEE I've done more than you.
I've been gaming for 35 years and I've owned every console and PC MMO.
This crap about there being server issues with every launch, is just fanboys trying to defend their game.
FFXIV and DCUO never had server issues. I have never, to this day, had to wait to log in. I've never been in a login que.
And your forgetting 1 very important point. This IS NOT a new game. Its been out for over a year. Plenty of time to get their megaservers in line.
The problem is with Zenimax. A law firm, trying to act like a game developer. This game got horrible reviews for PC. That's why they dropped the subscription. They're trying to save their game.
This game is a mess.

Had to throw the panda in again. Even though it's a fake, it haunts me.
You know it been so long since daoc release I dont remember many problems with the servers and at that time it was a huge release on the other hand wow was so bad it was lagged out so bad .I thought rift had a decent launch also. Even pc eso was decent just had a lot of bugged quests etc..
Bots killed the launch on PC/MAC!
There were alot of bots in eso when it when live but they took care of that fast imagine if they fixed the game as fast!
