Time to setup console forums.

Really do not want to see console posts here. Time you guys set them up their own forums. Only PC/MAC should post on these forums. Going to get real confusing here. But then again I understand if you guys don't, think you love confusion.

"We won't be adding console separation for General Discussion or other sections, as most topics are platform-neutral."

"Console related threads are dominating General Discussion at the moment, but this is expected leading up to console launch. Afterward, this matter will start to calm down..."

Just give it a bit, OP.

It'll calm down once the "newness" wears off of the console Gamers. Once the calm arrives, then everything will get back to the normalcies of every day discussions.

I guarantee it will remain as bad as it is now. Why should it change?

    It's cyclic?

This happens with almost every new game release? The Forums for each game are abuzz with chatter for the first few weeks/months, but then it dies down as people leave the game, just get tired of posting, actually have their questions answered, etc.

It is what it is, but it is in no way the end of the Forums.

I don't think you get what we mean. They are currently mixed in with the PC threads. It's confusing and a hassle to sort through theirs and ours. We should have separate forums because we have separate issues.

Well, that I can't argue with.

Maybe there could be implemented a way to "auto tag" a post as Console/PC/Mac depending on what the account says the player is playing on?

I have no idea how that would work, it's just the first idea to jump to mind.

There's already an active thread on this matter here, so we are locking this thread. Please feel free to jump into that discussion.

There are separate platform sections for the Support and Guild Recruitment categories, but we don't have an plans to create other platform-specific sections. Console discussion is dominating General Discussion at the moment, but this will calm down as we move away from launch. Most other subforms are also platform neutral at the moment.
