Block builds do almost zero damage what is the problem here ... If you are killed by a block build you need to take a PVP tutorial.... I was hit with V.Claw last night by a block build it was doing 200-338 damage a tic...

Meanwhile you have emp nighblades gap closing with destro ult and killing 10 people at one time then insta casting destro ultimate again killing 10 more lol ... but no we want to complain about a troll build that actually does little in PVP... A good group ignores these guys just let them troll around and kill them last ....

If you are running Fury block build you can hit 3k weapon damage fully procced this is not good weapon damage and you have around 2.3k weapon damage without fury ... You hit like a wet noodle at that point... But most block builds do not run Fury because it does not come in study FYI....

@Durham I'm excited to build a magicka block build, based on the dancer guide.

Can achieve the same massive mitigation via block with the sustain using alteration in light armor

That build also can have an offensive set to pair.

I think a really good idea is forming here

If a NB can't fear and incap that so-called permablocker dealing zero damage then that NB might have seriously L2P issue.
Back from my last hiatus. 2021 a new start.

I play a lot in Cyrodiil, and notice that many players run the permanent block build, where they are able to hold block permanently and yet be able to dish a lot of damage. They not only are able to deal damage and obtain kills while blocking, but also regain any health they might have lost. The class that excels best at this is Dragonknight, with good passives for block, good cc and self-sustain abilities such as Green Dragon Blood and Flame Leash. Facing such an opponent will usually lead to your death, unless you have allies to help out or use cc such as fear that goes through block - though it will only open a tiny gap for potential damage.

This build was also used a lot before soft caps were removed, where you also could reflect an infinite amount of projectiles with the use of Reflective Scale. Even though this ability was nerfed, the build still is fully functional, especially now that we are able to have high regeneration. The fact that you are able to 'toggle' block, which grants you cc immunity and highly reduced damage taken, and still be able to deal damage is absurd. This should not be possible. In what other games are you able to block and still perform spells? There is a reason this is not possible in most games.

Block is not a toggle. We should not be able to hold block and still be able to use spells. Usage of skills while you hold block should remove the block status for the duration of the ability animation.

It's already quite costly to block. If you build for permablocking, you are making multiple sacrifices in other areas, like jewelry enchants, CP, sturdy trait, s&b instead of other weapons, etc.

And if you want to remove block casting then this game would become Elder Dizzying Swing Online.

EDIT: nvm just realized I replied to 2 year old thread

LOL block build can do good dam its just cause of the changes (updates) they can't attack while they block cause satm doesn't regen while u block & don't lose stam, but ofc its not a issue if like some said already if ur magic build, stam builds half to just sometimes attack to restore stam, so the zero dam part is funny, it just what they decide to do, troll u & block forever or attack so its not that they do zero dam its that decide not to dam u

:D i am not trying to build per block i do increase dam & other stuff but block cost CP works so well that i feel like that soon i can use block per if i want & i have made no sacrifices anywhere, only thing in dung i need to make normal attacks to restore stam cause while i block there is no stam regen & taunting takes stam so i run out of stam at one point, my tank is lvl 30 (i have a lot of CP, cp lvl over 300 a bit) it feels like it won't be long before block takes zero stam when i get hit
