The rest of Tamriel

Ok so I love this game I think it is really fun and enjoyable but I wanted some of your opinions, do you all think the rest of the continent of Tamriel will ever be fully filled in? Obviously it is not going to happen soon but over time but I was just wondering if any of you thought it was likely or probable.

    I really hope so.

When this game was first announced (and the rumors said it would include all of Tamriel) I was really excited to see some of the places that haven't been in games since Arena, Elsweyr in particular.

Since we've only seen 1 new zone (with two parts) open up since launch, it will likely be a long time. There is at least Orsinium/Wrothgar being planned.

I remain hopeful. I will consider it a travesty if ESO ever closes without opening the rest of Tamriel. If ESO is successful they literally have a dozen years+ of material to pull from... and almost unlimited if they let us visit the rest of Nirn. Not to mention the oblivion realms.... and LYG is literally a mirror realm of Nirn, , so there's that too.

Interesting thread you posted. That map is definitely fan made though. But very cool.

Of course! Theres already 3 new zones coming, if they come in next 1.5 year, that means they are adding like 2 zone per year, I'd see that happening actually.

No, I do not think they will ever fill in the entire map that we can see in the game today.

Yeah, but two of those zones are aren't actual areas of Nirn/Tamriel. The Clockwork City is just an underground area in Morrowind. And Mephala's Realm is in Oblivion.

Wow. Awesome responses! Thanks guys. I am really hopeful as well! They do have a lot of content planned let's hope after they release it we will get even more! Gidorick I have to give you a shout because I have read all of your forum posts and you have some amazing ideas for this game. I hope they seriously take into consideration most of your ideas at some point.

Definitely a good observation. I have thought about that before as well.

Let's hope they stay up and are able to afford anything after Imperial City. We need to support them if you guys ever want to see anything new happening with this game. That means open the wallets and use that crown store, or buy a sub, either way that is only way to see what they do with the game!

They need to provide content, all types of content, if that is going to happen. This is a situation where THEY start and the money comes rolling in afterwards. It does not work the other way around.

Exactly. This is the first MMO I have ever played and tbh I have no idea how switching business models will affect income for the developers. I keep an active sub to support the developers because I feel like there is a lot of pontential for ESO. I would hate to see this game not reach its full potential but I do feel like they are on the right track. Consoles will be out very soon and after the inevitable bugs have been fixed I think they can and (hopefully) will start working on (and releasing) new zones.

I have broken out the Map in Malabal Tor and gone onto an empty land with nothing but writing on the floor. However this writing is mapping out cities and dungeons so they are planning to fit more zones in to the world.

In addition I know of 3 zones that will be coming to ESO: Wrothgar, Murkmire and Abah's Landing, Wrothgar will most likely be coming in November because on an interview on ESO live they stated it is almost complete and will come after Imperial City, the other two zones will follow some time after that.

Weird that you got out of the map and saw writing on the ground lol but that's awesome to think that they have expansion content planned for new zones!

Just remember that each zone is a separate map. You can break out of Stormhaven and walk over to Rivenspire and even spend time in Shornhelm, but this is a surreal abandoned and very empty copy of Rivenspire. I have no idea why they do it this way. Maybe that is a question for Ask Us Anything or Life at ZOS.

Them making marks on the ground outside a zone really does not indicate that they have definite plans to do anything at all.

Except personally, there's nothing in the crown store I want. Past or present.

Sub is worthless, considering the very minute bonuses I'd get for subbing.

I'll support them when I find things worth supporting them FOR.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

What? You're not desperate to pay $25 to get each month's flavor of the Senche mount? I'm sorry, but you are simply a bad person.

(Yes, that was sarcasm. I'm not giving them any money until they finally release some of the playable DLC they have been advertising for a year.)

This one apologizes most sincerely. Khajit loves his Senche mount. But even for Khajit, one Senche is enough. In a group, the fickle half-beasts tend to get jealous and fight to be this one's favored mount, or team up on poor Khajit and make him redundant. Senche are intelligent enough to deliberately fail to understand what it means to be "owned".

I don't know..... the thought of a human riding a deformed mutant human mount seems kinda..... creepy. Isn't that essentially what the Senche are when compared to Khajiit?

Khajit loves all our cousins, large and small, on two or four legs, born under any moons. We are all family. You would not understand. It's not your fault. You are not Khajit. Only Khajit are Khajit.

Ha! It does need to be majestic. I am just so ready for vvardenfelp and solstheim. They will probably be the hardest to do because of the fact that we have already seen those two zones in previous games.

I really do hope so because I would love to see what ZOS thinks Winterhold looked like before it fell into the sea. Also would love to see more of Summerset Isle.

I just really hope that they stick to a more lore friendly version of any city or part of Tamriel. Make it unique but also if we've seen it in a TES game before... for the love of Auri-El make it at least close to what it looked like. (Example of a fail- Windhelm)
