You should be blaming the consumers at least as much as, if not more than, the companies.

Ya, titles to show off might be nice, but I'm not bothered either way. Not having them doesn't change a thing for me.
In most games that I've played I never displayed any titles when they were available.
Or maybe it's that I've gotten used to ZOS's, ahem!, creative design choices. If I hadn't, we wouldn't be having this discussion. There are other worlds than these.
I guess despite some commonalities, you and I are somewhat different after all
Okay, can you list one thing specific that you haven't yet completed and you want to do so?
"I want to do X" I'm working on accomplishing Y"
Getting all Cyrodiil skyshards on my main characters is another.
Getting all my crafts maxed.
Note that making a V14 is not on that list. I'll get there when I get there.
completing all events and locations in all zones would be one.

@olemanwinter I disagree. Lookit, I've been here since early access. You are ahead of me while I say, what's the rush?
This is the part you don't seem to get.
I don't need to have all skyshards in Cyrodiil right this minute. I want them but it's ok when the opportunity presents itself.
As for all content, no I haven't done everything just because I have one lvl 50+ char. Some events or loacations I've skipped at the time because I couldn't complete them on my own and I couldn't find a group at the time. I'll return to them, at my leasure.
I've got plenty of timelines and deadlines IRL, I play to relax and so I enjoy the journey. While I do like to complete things, there's no compulsion to do them in any particular order or timeframe. If I don't reach my goals ingame by the end of this year, well there's 2016 or 2017. The last thing I seek in my gaming is deadlines, stress and obligations.
Completion appears to be our common goal but our methods don't appear to be even similar.
P.S.: no need for any 'sorry' ☺ it takes all kinds of people and it's a good exchange of ideas.
why keep playing?
because my friends are here?
did you forget to make some?

you got friends, and you got online friends, the difference makes me not want to stay more online in a game which content i finished and bores the *** out of me,. at some point you realise you just got a bunch of people on your list you just say hi and bye too, and occasionaly did something fun with but are now caught up in their own guild/game thing
nah I cherish my reallife friends more
Don't worry.
They announced last ESO live they are now putting all resources into developing Underwater Combat.
Because.. like who needs to fix lag in Cyrodil, release Imperial City or Wrothgar, Justice PvP, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood or anything else that has been promised for a year now.
LIke.. cause Underwater Combat...
Why continue playing?
I still enjoy the game very much. Exploring the crap out of Tamriel. Haven't got a V14 yet, taking my sweet time so I'm not fussed about new content. Haven't paid a single cent since the beginning of the year. Haven't spent a single 'loyalty' crown yet. Don't see the need.
Good enough reasons for my buddy and I.
The game quality has remained the same, more or less, except that now it's free.

The veteran grind the second time around was the end of me liking the game. The lack of XP and meaningful loot was also a breaking point. As a long time fan of TES the plot of this game was great, main story, the alliance, and fighter/mage guilds. I have not logged in for a while and as of yet there's nothing to bring my back to the game. The DLC's would have to be just as amazing as the game itself for the price, no more 19.99$ DLC's like Skyrim since rare motifs are 40$, looking at the current prices in the crown store. I'm just going to save my money until I hear of something great for TESO: TU or TES6, which is rumored for release in 1st quarter 2016.

This is the problem with business and corporations...the "need to grow and make more money". There was a time when people who ran businesses were more concerned with putting out the best quality product they could as a matter of pride....and THEN counting the beans as they rolled in because people want a quality product.
Somewhere along the road, they took the other fork...the one that leads to what is happening now. Businesses don't really care about quality product, it's all about the bottom line and whether or not there's enough profit so someone can have their fifty room mansion with ten gold plated hot tubs in each bathroom.
I guarantee that if Zenimax put out a quality product, people WOULD literally throw money at them. I know I would.
Except it's not a quality product that deserves my money. Not any more. Not since the additions and changes.

The limited time senche was a good idea, but I think you could get a little more panic and a much higher sales rate with a limited quantity sale. The first 500, 5000, or whatever people get the mount and then it won't be available until the next time it is offered. Use the senche numbers as a baseline and add to that to get more sales from the event.

I'm very disappointed. I wouldn't have bought this game if I knew how bad endgame is. I have spent thousands of hours to perfect my build and develop my character, but theres nothing for him to do, no place for him to prove himself. I've run the same dungeons/dsa/trials 50 times, and I'm sick of it. I tried doing daily pledges again today and I just quit in the middle of it. I rather vacuum my house now then play ESO, it is way more rewarding and fun.
It doesn't help that ESO PvP definitely is the worst multiplayer experience I've had in years. The whole AP farming, horse-riding , laggy, no individual skill concept is unbelievable.
I'm still here on forums though, complaining. Hoping that ESO one day will fulfill my expectations.
I stopped paying for a subscription until they actually release new content. Personally I think it's highly possible they are likely sitting on a lot of things that are already mostly complete or purposely managing their work load so that new content is ready for release dates after the console launch.
The last significant content for the PC version of the game was Upper Craglorn which was 6 months ago and that was really just stuff they probably already had mostly finished. Craglorn will be 1 year old in 8 days time which means we have basically had 1 new zone in a year. For me this simply isn't enough especially considering the amount of money they reaped from when the game was subscription based. The games a lot of fun but it's somewhat hard to find reasons to continue playing atm particularly from a PvE perspective.
Frankly you are not yet playing on par with many of us. When we were where you are we too were perfectly contented. (Ha pun!) 13.5 months later though - not so much.

That's kinda my point :-)
And I will continue to make sure I am stretching the available free content to its max.
If people want to turn it into a rat race that's their choice, but they shouldn't be surprised when they hit a void at some point.LEGENDARYYY wrote: »Nice for you that you still enjoy the game, but you are not top level and that's why you shouldn't even attend this discussion.
You don't get to decide which people may attend a discussion on here. Ever. ;-)
Just because you started playing a year late ...
Just because you started playing a year late ...
A year late? I've been here since early access and I was in beta too, if you want to know.
Anyway, don't know what your objection is; as I've stated, imo asking for more/new content is fair, a year or so after go-live. All I'm saying beyond that is that my playstyle allows me to stretch the available content.
Sheesh!
This is the part you don't seem to get.
I don't need to have all skyshards in Cyrodiil right this minute.
