I could do a major wall of text about why Vortexman deserves emperor on Haderus. But I won't. I don't have to. His many friends know why.

Once in a great while you have one of those "special"days in PvP where the lousy server performance, the broken gameplay, and the population imbalances are all forgotten. Sunday, May 31st was one of those days. I got to help somebody who has long been a friend and a primary reason I still play this game. Things just don't get any better than that.

    I'll do the honors.

I was a low and simple Nord, wanting to be a 2 hand and full heavy DK for a long time. I was running solo in Hade one day and saw a name that I shall never forget and never stop holding dear to me.
    Vortexman.
I saw him fighting off a few people on Kingscrest Lumber for a while before eventually dying. I whispered him asking how he was making full heavy work in 1.4 or so. He began to tell me about his build and we talked for a while before we added each other. Wed talk, not a ton but we did once in a while. We still don't talk every day, but we should.
Them he fell into some, uh, account issues, and was completely broke. I offered to give him 100 which he turned down humbly, saying he'd rather earn it back. He has never been a mean person, nor has he ever rage-whispered me. He is one of the few people in this game that I can say have had the opportunity to meet.
Gratis Vortex, you really do deserve emp and if I had am EP I'd be right behind you.
    With love,
    Swamps, AD Dragonknight Scum

Vortex, you were still emp when I logged tonight (about 2 am central time), maybe you'll make it to end of the campaign and into tomorrow afternoon. I didn't even realize you were emp that one time you engaged our small group, still doing all the ridiculously awesome and annoying stuff you usually do ;) I'm sure you got some good ticks at BRK during AD's terrible dethrone push. We were outside trying to gank reinforcements, but it seems you had most of the people you needed inside already.

Today the AD PvE guilds will come and probably so will NPK from the DC side. The weekly start of a new campaign always brings out the buff babies and the opportunists. We'll be waiting (unless AD pvDoors everything early like they usually do).

The teabags on the Ghartok pedestal were the best part.

It took their entire zerg 20 minutes to bust the six of us, and we easily got 40 kills in the process (almost 6k d-tick attests to that)...

but they are so awesomesauce it was ctrl keys all around

A little backstory on this also. They had Vort down to just BRK just before 11pm eastern, and they were TWO SECONDS from dethrone (apse and nave had been flipped yellow for about 8 seconds) when GoS busted their back flag flip and ended up wiping some 50 yellows in that keep.

The entire yellow factions logs, just vanishes for two-three hours as we essentially end up PvDooring the map back red, IN PRIMETIME. There was a little resistance, a few small groups of 4-5 here and there, but nothing resembling numbers.

The moment Vort and half of GoS logs out from boredom and for bed... that exact same double raid of 40+ AD just shows up out of nowhere and starts blasting down keeps, at 3am)

I was like... wut? I find it rather amusing, sad really, that these zergbads were so scared to fight us with even 20 people, that they left the campaign entirely until we thinned, and they had more than double our numbers to start with.

    I just dont even anymore

My Haderus Highlight of the last cycle was this...

So we crowned Vort emp, and instead of fighting us, the yellows decide to port up to Rayles and Warden (which they still held) and "farm" the poor like 10 blues that still play haderus, that were trying vainly to take just one keep on the map.

Mind at the time, red had emp, four scrolls, and would later wipe yellow out completely for the night.

But yeah, these cowards go up to farm the poor blues.

So being the paragons of virtue that we are... we not only busted the yellow BS up at warden, we also allowed blue to just walk in and cap the keep.

Did almost the same at Rayles, except for that one blue that tried to kill Vort in the middle of the 15 of us.

Thats how you show some class. You dont gate camp, you dont pick on the weak faction. So AD of Haderus, stop being little wimps, seriously.

This is also why we deliver blue scrolls to blue gates. Not because we are friends with blue, not because we wouldnt slaughter blue wholesale (like we did yesterday when they tried to push for emp with some guested help) if they came into our territory, but because for us, its a slap right in your face. Same reason I picked the scroll up and ran it up to blues gate yesterday, to slap you in the face for your poor sportsmanship. (jumping into bleakers to ninja cap it when you were poplocked vs 2 bars ep, was that even necessary, really?)

Im actually almost ashamed that my main is AD, given the behavior that faction has observed lately.

Go figure my PC is derping hard the weekend Vort gets emp :dizzy:
    Gratz man! Definitely well deserved.

GJ GoS on staying true to the sport of the game and allowing DC to take gate keeps back. If other guilds did this, we wouldn't see nearly as many buff servers. TAKE NOTES PEOPLE! That's true ESO PVP Etiquette.

We had players (new to PvP) who wanted to take the remaining blue keeps (3) late yesterday around 8:30 p.m. central. After giving the our reasons for not doing so in zone chat they went along with the idea and left the DC keeps alone. If we want to improve PvP the veteran players (guild and non-guild) in all three factions on all the servers are going to have to step up and help guide their players in the right direction.

Im actually almost ashamed that my main is AD, given the behavior that faction has observed lately.

Those yellows on Haderus and Azura's (and the guilds who enable them -- I know who you are if you're reading this) are cowards. They don't want a fight, they don't want competition, they want an easy win and to 'hold it over EP' (though Azuras had been a BLUE map before they turned it yellow -- they really don't know how to direct their hate).

They always, always, always attack empty keeps until they have a massive numbers advantage.

Case in point, I was running with Nexus and we'd captured all the red home keeps + Alessia on Azura's. Constant back cap attempts ensued, never a direct assault though EP was 1 bar of population and AD was showing 3. Finally AD locks their population, floods Alessia while we're trying to stop another back cap elsewhere, and then we're forced back to BRK.

Over 100 AD poured into that keep. With only one raid of EP defending the server lagged and crapped itself like Thornblade on the worst of the old nights.

Arrius was the exact same right after that.

EP was begged to spread out and stop stacking Thornblade and we did. Guilds split up and went to different campaigns and what happened? After the brief boost in player numbers that B2P brought us, factions spent every chance they could stacking THEIR guilds (two of which run two raids deep) against 1-2 EP guilds + pugs and systematically destroying one campaign after another.

Now AD spends each day policing buff servers and making cameo appearances in Chillrend while EP/DC push the map back and forth between them.

This is really the core portion of it.

After fighting AD at a keep yesterday, the same 20+ group comes for a scroll out of temple knowing, theres 2 people there to defend. They push as 20, to get the scroll, not to fight for it.

The numbers arent going to appear and balance out anytime soon in DCs favor. Youd assume some kind of incentives or buffs could be offered instead.

Unfortunately, its more likely DC pop will double in the next month than @ZOS_BrianWheeler acknowledge this issue and put forth any type of change to help out here.

I was on between 11 pm PST til 1 pm PST, and we defended BRK from both AD and EP. Gratz to Vortexman for being there and helping defend. That is what I like to see from our emps, rather than the few who, in the past, take emp and leave.

I have noticed that AD don't attack unless they have an insane number advantage, or there is DC attempting to take the same keep.

Last cycle we were trying to fight the AD swarm, but they kept running off to attack Empty DC keeps. So we went over to Alswell and backdoored about 40-50 AD when they were on the flags. If Haderus had a more stable DC population AD would be forced to fight both factions rather than just those of us on EP that put up resistance.

I'm ashamed I'm AD for all of this happening tbh. My guildies in Tertiary Meat and I all moved to Thornblade because of the large AD influx Hade has seem lately. It's ridiculous that this crap still happens and it's no fun zerging over everyone.

And another night of Rylana pretty much solo defending Arrius, Kings, Farra, Chim, and Ghartok. There were 2-3 others mixed in here and there but nothing consistent.

The usual 30+ yellows of course showed up at the usual time. Ugh.

Can you identify who the yellows are? Are they Oceanics?

I jumped in shortly after I got home from work with KC flipping pretty much as soon as I got there. Not much a 3-5 people can do against what looks like a full group that also includes emp :(

The Children of Hircine and Telel decided to have an adventure on Haderus tonight when they discovered that Azura's was utterly quiet, and they couldn't even kill guards on Chillrend due to the lag.

While Khajiit understands that their lack of skill makes them ignorant of the grander greatness that those truly skilled live at they were confused by one thing.

Did the twenty or so EP who took altadoon forget how to go North, or do they instead perhaps suffer from some form of group wide case of reverse-gephyrophobia in which they simply were to paralyzed with fright to come off the center of that tiny, tiny bridge right outside the western spawn point?

Khajiit has a twitch stream! https://twitch.tv/telel_khajiit feel free to come see how truly unskilled Telel is.

So something rather unique and funny happened this morning.

The usual AD zergball showed up and started PvDooring the map, and then a certain red guild that starts with V decided to stomp them flat.

So they decided to PvDoor on the blue side, and me Benom and Galalin squashed them flat

Now they vanished and the map is more than half red still

    This... doesnt happen ever

It doesn't happen often because there's usually not many around to contest the issue. Maybe this will change the dynamics around a bit in the campaign. It's a sad commentary that a group of players will just quit and leave when faced with opposition. After all it is supposed to PvP.

Galalin is back? Why couldn't he be here a few weeks ago, so I could exact revenge on all of those invasions and wrecking blows I've received over the past few months? ;)

If Haderus is competitive again, I might actually come PVP on AD instead of dying repeatedly on my DC on Chill.

Yup, Galalin is back! Seems his work life is calming down a bit, which is nice because I was missing him!

As far as Haderus being competitive, I'd say it's there. Looks like NPK moved here this week, so that gives us a DC presence and on EP side you have Vehemence, Guild of Shadows, Pheonix Rising, and Immortali. Legion is the only guild I know of on AD side, not sure who Rocky Road plays with, but his crew is there. Sadly, my favorite AD, Mitra Telvanni and Ezareth I haven't seen for awhile.
