If so on both accounts, shut OFF GeForce Experience while playing ESO. Not just right clicking the icon and hitting 'exit'. Go INTO your task manager and kill the process.
You'll find your ESO experience much improved.
Didn't help me, still crashed after less than a minute online...
Worth the try, thanks anywayThis game was designed to work in windowed fullscreen mode, no doubt to suit it's casual style and frequent web browsing on monitor #2. It is more stable in windowed fullscreen. While you're there, launch the game and check out your RAM. While most games in the past (and many more to come) can share a 4GB space with windows just fine; ESO is one of the first games on the market I strongly recommend 8GB as an actual minimum for - not just to fit in larger textures. My client reports 3.7/8.0 used. While you can run many games at or near capacity, many others will simply crash if they don't have enough overhead to prevent competition.
It does consistently crash when competing for my graphics card. Specifically streaming video players cause occasional, reproducible crashes due to some unknown conflict.
Additionally, I find shadowplay suspect in ESO's case, though I have used it with success the game seems more crash prone while doing so. This could be related to my computer's "DVR" drive and file output configuration.
I have found multitasking causing crashes is common to many DirectX applications.
It is very likely something is running on your computer you aren't aware of, or some application is otherwise doing work with the hard drive causing ESO to crash.
Post your crash report, and check the status of your Task Manager. If you watch it on your desktop with no other applications open, it should ideally sit at 0% with only small (1-3%), regular ticks in activity.
Look at your recent downloads, browsing history, and recycle bin. You or someone you know may have installed the good old silent but deadly.
Because gaming is so demanding, gaming PC's require some upkeep you could normally overlook. A basic understanding of how it works and what can potentially go wrong can help you more than any developer.

For the record, the game is made by ZeniMax Online Studios, a subsidiary of ZeniMax Media, Inc., which also owns Bethesda Game Studios (developer of The Elder Scrolls games) and Bethesda Softworks (a publisher). Please at least try to not confuse them deliberately.
Also for the record, there hasn't been a single TES game game yet which hasn't had serious issues with bugs after release. Over the years, I've come to expect "can't really be used well until after the first round of patches has landed" products from Bethesda Game Studios, but I've gotten used to this and love their games regardless, playing them for far longer than is good for me.
As for the crashes, it would be most helpful to report them to ZOS while noting under which circumstances they occurred, i.e. in which location(s), during what activities, etc. You could use the in-game /bug command (no feedback), or the Tech Support Form (this will get a response). Only then will there be a chance for them getting fixed.
Please at least try to not confuse them deliberately.

I'm sorry, I agree that my choice of words was poor, and I want to apologize, because I mistook your initial insistence to refer to ZOS only as Bethesda to be made from a point of deliberate ignorance, to deny them acknowledgement. With what you've written below, you've not only proven my assessment to be wrong, you've shown to possess an above average knowledge of the inner dependencies of their corporate conglomerate.
I appreciate the attempt to be helpful but you come across as a little "high and mighty" with your response. Particularly,Please at least try to not confuse them deliberately.
I found a little rude and off putting. I have seen some of your other posts while lurking and I see you are very helpful to many others or at least offer humorous view points.
The client's behavior you've described sounds like a breakdown of meaningful communication between client and server. MMO clients are, as a rule, fickle pieces of software. For reasons of responsiveness and usability, they need to do things on their own, but everything they do eventually needs to be checked and approved by the server within certain time constraints. If this supervision temporarily breaks down for whatever reason, their behavior might become erratic. There are reliable indicators whether a disconnect has occurred, but if they don't trigger, and there's still no acknowledgement from the server, the client goes out of sync and might end up in a state of limbo. The reasons for this can originate in many places, and only a few of them are under your control.Yes I know ZeniMax Media is the big poobah holding company for the Bethesda family of corporations and acquisitions. If you know your history of ZeniMax then you will know it was found BY the same guy who founded Bethesda specifically to be the holding company for Bethesda and its business acquisitions. Bethesda then spun off the development studio to split the game design company and the game publishing into two separate entities that could each focus on their core business and both owned by the new holding company. This is all immaterial. What matters for my statement is that BETHESDA is company that is famous. Not ZeniMax. So I deliberately refer to all companies under the ZeniMax label as Bethesda when discussing anything Elder Scrolls, BECAUSE I like and respect them. Much in the same way I still call AMD graphics as ATI. Some brand names are more valuable than others.
Now, the rest or your response. The game didn't crash to desktop, didn't give me an error message, it just froze 3 seperate times while I was standing in town, running the lone mod already mentioned, mainly while googling about guild traders on my 2nd monitor.
I got the game a week ago, and things have been moving along nicely, though I got like a trillion questions, and all of a sudden 3 crashes in an hour? I expect this sort of thing with a game in beta, not one what has been out for a year.
O did no one tell you uuum you are testing the game if you want the real version you have to join the rest of us heading to consoles in june.

Eww, dirty consoles.
Seriously though OP, do some hunting through the forum. Not a fun issue for sure.
Whaaaaaat nas your not joining i figured you would come to consoles if you do ps4 side lol.
Hell no, son. PS4 has hardware designed what...5+ years ago. No contest against the current PC I built. Why on Earth would I move from the PC (highly customizable) to the console (highly restrictive)?
I still love ya though.

The PS4 API still wins over Dx 11. When will people learn that hardware alone does not win any prizes. You could have the best GPU and CPU in your rig, if you use bad drivers or a 10 years old API, then you still lose over that 5 year old console.

3) Screw consoles, I still own a PS2 for FFX but I will NEVER buy one again. PC gaming is the only gaming that matters. PC gaming for life.
Ya, I seen some other threads about people having random crashes, but now that I have had the experience, may as well make my own thread to just /poke Bethesda and help em stay motivated to getting the last bugs ironed out.
P.S. Before anyone goes and says this game is made by Zeni Online, I do not care what alternative name they wish to go by, Bethesda is the only trade name that is worth anything. It is the name people know, respect, and expect quality products from.
Edit: 4) Do not have a router, direct connection to the modem and I know that isn't the issue.
update ur driver lately? windows update kicked in overnight? summer is here and ur graphic card overheat?
could still be an issue with your system. this past monday there's no update to ESO.
try dropping quality to LOW with low resolution, and see if it makes any difference. if yes, then it's your PC.
lol i get loading screens all the time and this is what people come up with
my pc is a custom liquid cooled 8 core cpu, north bridge, ram 28gig, south bridge what doesn't go over 38c even if its in eyefinity view under max load, with a sapphire r9 290x graphics card with 3 gig of ram but yes its always down to the computer isn't it.
could be the internet dropping out though.
