Am I asking for too much? Dragonknights

I was just wondering, how many people would agree if I said us DKs should have these 2 things?

1) A Gap Closer
2) An Execute/Heavy hitter (like Concealed Weapon/Biting Jabs/two thirds of sorc moves)

I know what you guys are gonna say- its viable and plenty of people have been successful with DK builds and DKs were at one point OP, yada yada. I would just like more DK skills to use, period.

    I find it strange that stamina based DK doesn't have whip.

    But even without whip, even without wrecking blow spam. A decent or good DK can still hit pretty hard, and be hard to put down at the same time. So i think those two things are too much to ask, and maybe re-roll a class like NB that has more to offer in terms of outright damage based attacks.

    Isn't the chains ability considered a gap closer (Extended chains.. don't recall unmorphed name)? Either it brings them to you, or you to them if they can't move.

    Sorc Ball Lightning now does everything that DK Reflective Scales used to do (minus return damage, plus CC independent movement). In fact, Absorb Magicka (S&B skill) is more useful than Reflective Scales is now.

    DK has been QQ'd into uselessness for a lot of it's abilities.

    DK's could definitely use some love, but nothing crazy. Molten is a decent skill, I dont run it because I lead, but other wise I would.

    I have no clue why Lava Whip does not have a stamina morph. I'm not sure if that was an oversight or not.

    Who's the skills and abilities dev again? Someone tag him lol.

    Yeah, I agree with you. I want something (other than leap and wings) that makes people say "Oh crap, a dragonknight." I understand it isn't some under powered class, but jazzing things up would be nice. Maybe that might come in future changes with stam and magicka builds, who knows?

    chains is and never will be a gap closer because of so many reason, if you played dk you would know why.
    and dude molten armaments is the best execute in game... (oh dont mind these 50k heavy attacks...)

    I mean that all sounds good on paper, but wouldn't be all that great for a stam build unless you went sword and board.

    Tadaaa, problems solved yada yada, period.

    1. Chains is buggy. One, its not always obvious if you will be pulled to them or them to you (this is catastrophic in most PvP situations). Second, if they block nothing happens. Third, BoL will absorb chains since it counts as a projectile. Fourth, if your enemy is on a 1" height delta it won't work. Fifth, the ~2s delay is nearly unusable. Sixth, if you continue to move during the duration the chains is extended it will place you or your enemy in positions relative to that movement. Finally, it looks stupid as a duck. (Invasion is still viable, except that it costs 3k stam against an ~8.5k to 12k stam pool of a magicka character.)

    2. Molten armaments is OK. Molten whip is our best dmg ability, but it is hardly a heavy hitter. ~4 to 4.5k tooltip if you spec totally magicka.

    Functionally, magicka DK still plays as well as it did. The skills synergize well with the passives and the combos are logical. The ESO 2.0+ changes, however, have changed the relevance of some of the dmg abilities especially against the enormous burst potential of melee stam builds.

    Somebody a while back suggested that dragon leap be changed to a regular skill, nerfed appropriately and be replaced with a single-target, cheap ultimate. Really, really support this idea. This would go a LONG way to helping DKs. And it would be cool as all get-out.

    He wasnt asking about stuff that cant be countered. He asked about DK class abilities for certain situations. And for that my answers are pretty damn the right thing. ;)

    DKs have both those things already.

    Chains will close gaps, but you will give your target cc immunity.

    Molten Armaments is an execute but requires fully charged heavy attacks which may or may not work to your advantage depending on your opponents skill and champion points setup.

    Finally nobody is going to support your ideas; fair or not, DKs are still voted the most OP class in PVP according to a very recent survey. Additionally every other class would never want to give another class a buff, each class lobbies only for their own class, and declares all other classes OP. That is the forum meta.

    I have seen some pretty insane molten armament crits... So many people burnt...

    he asked for a gap closer in pvp. chains is not a gap closer in pvp, so weirdly your answers were wrong and youre a d*ck for the way you said them.

    I also have a HUGE issue with the ~116 magicka gain from Sea of Flames kills. It's utter crap. CRAP I TELL YOU!!!!

    OP asked simple question without any details given. So he got simple answers in the sme way he asked :p I dont count in bugs etc. And chains is a gap closer. If you dont think it is, you should learn the class skills a bit more ;)

    He also didn't say if he uses magicka or stamina builds. There where no details given by the OP.

    Actually what kind of gap closer do u want? Getting pulled to the enemy.. Thats what every other gap closer in this game does. It gets you to the enemy. Works the same as charge in this case. I dont know what to say to you guys. You dont make any sense. I am sorry.

    I've used chains in pvp.. a Gap Closer it is not.

    An ability that might put the target near me half the time and the other time somewhere else cause of lag...it is.

    It still closes a gap. Charges and leaps also suffer from lag. Ergo there are no gap closers at all? (except bolt)

    I know you being a bit sarcastic ;) so I tried to be too :D

    Molten armaments is actually useless, it last for a ridiculously short time. Fiery grip is totally unreliable since you can't target people up or down a hill most of the time. Even if it's the tiniest hill ever

    Sorry, I am a stam build and I believe a lot of attacks and aoes are geared towards magicka builds for DKs, despite all the effort put towards 1.6. If I offended you in anyway for you to take the time to be a sarcastic *** on my post, I apologize.
