If we are talking about models we build and paint then battle on a field with dice roll and stats this would be really cool.

If we are talking about a top view imitation video game of a table top game then no ty

Middle-Earth Tolkien has an official setting book for 5th edition. Elder Scrolls should get one as well.
Especially considering that Elder Scrolls was originally conceived as a D&D campaign setting

There is actually a ruleset out there for Elder Scrolls tabletop.

I've run a couple of campaigns in it, and had a bit of fun. Ruleset borrows a lot from other tabletops, for instance, most of the gameplay itself is based on Dark Heresy.

Here's a link to the doc with all the relevant info if anyone is interested

I agree. And now I live in a very small town so there's no one... No shortage of people to play with on ESO. I do love to throw me some dice though

I am currently running an Elder Scrolls D&D campaign. IMO, most fantasy tabletop RPG systems can be used for an Elder Scrolls setting. All that is needed is new races, some new spells, items and character options and of course a quest. The base mechanics do not matter a lot, though you can tailor them to your needs if you want to.

FATE and D20 peasants. Of course the mighty Elder Scrolls Series doens't belong on such low class systems.

GURPS is definitely the way to go for TES.

“Kings of the land and the sky we are; proud gryphons.” Stalker stands, the epitome of pride. Naked and muscular, his wings widen and his feet dig in as if he alone holds down the earth and supports the heavens, keeping the two ever separate.”

I strongly disagree. If you're doing a Campaign Setting you keep it neutral from the games, setting it in between the series or after.

The Elder Scrolls Campaign Setting would have to take that stance in order to cater to all the fans from across the board.

ESO can be used as a campaign setting in any RPG system, however the magic mechanics would need to be thrown out of whichever system was used and reconstructed by the GM. I know someone who did that for an Elder Scrolls campaign.

So to reiterate, I prefer Morrowind as a system upon which you would get your magic mechanics. Of all of the SP games of Elder Scrolls, that I have played, it is by far the most flexible and fluid to use. ESO's Magic Mechanics are stunted even by comparison to Skyrim. The Magic system they've been promising for ESO is also likely to be stunted simply because they don't want to have a system where players can devise a spell that would allow a non-Champion Character to gank a CP690 Tank. This is what I attribute delays in it's introduction to, they still haven't worked out a viable system.

Hi, I was wondering.. with all the lore that already exist, wouldn't a tabletop RPG make sense?
Dragon Age did that move and having a Tabletop RPG next to the computer game is really awesome as you can draw on inspiration from "rreal" events in the games into the tabletop game.

Anyone know if this is in the works already? There are a few amature versions of it, but why not make an official tabletop RPG?

I have personally been running a campaign setting based on the ES lore and it is so well suited for good old fashioned dice rolling.

There is the Unofficial Elder Scrolls RPG (UESRPG). You can find all of the info and links to the docs at Reddit. /UESRPG

However, if you look through the Codex Scientia and the official TES: Arena you can make a pretty comprehensive table top from the rules laid out in the game. Honestly, reading through the core rulebook for UESRPG and Codex Scientia, it seems very similar. The main difference being that UESRPG doesn't seem to have premade classes. So in that regard it is more like Daggerfall or Morrowind.

There is also a Morrowind RPG which I think has most of the rules and mechanics derived from the TES III.

Lastly, there is a Savage Worlds TES game made up somewhere.

If you were specifically talking about an official Bethesda table top, then I would really love to see the old Arena and Daggerfall teams get together to show us what they meant by "Arena was based off of a D&D world that we used to play in our free time." Well that's a paraphrase, but I would love to see it in it's original state. Of coarse I would also like to see them come up with one made with all the lore that was built up over the years.
"'You have suffered for me to win this throne, and I see how you hate jungle. Let me show you the power of Talos Stormcrown, born of the North, where my breath is long winter. I breathe now, in royalty, and reshape this land which is mine. I do this for you, Red Legions, for I love you.'" The Many Headed Talos - Michael Kirkbride

OP do you know how to make a poll?

I would love to see someone put up a poll for this. If a large enough portion of the fan base asked for this, they might actually do it, (or in our case ZOS could show our poll to Beth and so on...)

I think in general either tabletop RPGs or tabletop wargames face the problem of finding players (and DMs, where appropriate).

This is partly from personal experience (I finally quit, after many, many years, because of how incredibly difficult it was to just get a game in, logistically speaking), and partly from inferring that especially in this day and age, other forms of entertainment are just too readily available and too...well, put it this way. Facebook/etc. is designed to give users mini-dopamine hits. And the more things like that are available, the harder it will be, I think, for someone to make the pitch to 3-4-5 people - hey, let's spend three hours rolling dice and scribbling on character sheets or pushing miniatures around.

It's not that people like that do not exist - they clearly do. I just want to point out the difficulty inherent in the proposition.

Beyond that, "I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords"(TM).
