Everquest wasn't all that great, the game had many problems which were only fixed years or so later after launch (i.e. the original ui) but not everything was fixed though. The only thing that kept players in the game was the figuring everything out yourself deal, which is good and bad.LordSkyKnight wrote: »These kids these days. No it wasn't. My wife and I played cooperatively with our characters, and we could and did group all the way through each other's main story quests. If they changed that later, I'm not aware of it.Star Wars: The Old Republic was completely solo-only during your main class quest from 1-50. It was also one of my main knocks on the game. The class quest was nice, but why bother making an MMO when all your main content can be done by yourself?

I thought he meant being able to go all the way through solo only, not actually restricted to solo only. lol

Ahaha THIS. I'm one of the anti-social weirdos who really only solos in this game, but even I recognize that the end-game of an MMORPG is rarely (if ever) soloable.
Trouble with an MMO based on a very popular IP is that you'll have a lot of folks who are primarily here for the IP, less so for the MMO part. I was the same. PersonalIy never really wanted an Elder Scrolls MMO, I was hoping for a new Elder Scrolls single-player game. There wasn't one, so I bought this.
That's probably where a lot of people are coming from. I'm not bothered if they don't make solo endgame content, as I'm not plannning to stick around once I've done the story, but if Zenimax have their heads screwed on right and want the maximum number of customers, they'll try to cater to both camps.
Show me another major MMO where the main quest of the game is solo-only.
