Just noticed an awesome sorcerer buffed that wasn't on PTS. Finally a self health massive potential!

Unstable Familiar
This ability now heals the caster for 35% of their maximum health when the familiar is killed or toggled off.

    But it's not instant, which is the source of many sorc whines.

    Well tbh i don´t see anyone pulling this off in emergency situations more than one time. You will never finish a hardcast against a capable opponent who´s trying to kill you.

    Hey guys, thanks for your patience. We do have a status to share regarding Sorcerers as they currently stand.

    First, there is one outstanding issue with Crystal Fragments not proccing when you cast Bolt Escape; we are aiming to fix this by time Update 6 is live. While we aren’t planning to implement any additional changes before Update 6 goes live, we will be keeping a very close eye on how Sorcerers – and all classes – perform in a Live environment, and will make tweaks as necessary. With Update 6 just around the corner, we don’t want to make any drastic changes that could affect gameplay in a negative way.

    That said, we do have plans to make the Sorcerer more effective as a stamina DPS, tank, and healer. The first change we already made towards that direction is allowing the Clannfear to heal the caster based on their maximum health when the Clannfear is killed or dismissed. In a future update, we will be looking at giving the Sorcerer unique ways to fulfill the healer role, or deal damage with stamina-based abilities. Some specific issues we will also be evaluating are the number of toggled abilities on the class, Surge healing cooldown, and tweaks to make Dark Exchange more useful.

    Please continue to report any issues you may come across, and thank you for all your support and feedback!

    Personally I noticed that the old Sorc was basicly easy mode compared to every other class for me. Unless I didn't have pets then it was harder than any other class.

    All the technical stuff usually goes over my head until I actually play the class or use the weapon and can actually associate the spects with actual game play. And I didn't really want to play to long on pts since its a test server and all chars are wiped every once in a while. So I really haven't tested the new sorc class yet (spent my time playing around with nightblades and stealing), but from what I do understand I can use sorc without pets alot easier now.

    Looking forward to having the two extra spaces on my spell bar and using more storm calling and dark magic spells.
    As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.

    This has a 1.3 second cast time, and it then requires a second click to activate the heal. The second click requires a (slight) pause, as well. So, you're looking at a heal with a 1.5 to 1.6 second cast time.

    This will not be used by any non-pet spec. It's now just a nice bonus for those who would use pets anyway. Nukers are back to using Resto Staff heals. That's fine with me -- I thought it was a wierd little heal, and I didn't like the flavor of it. Now that it's useless for me, I won't feel bad about ignoring it ;)

    And it will continue its existance in sorc solo leveling builds and nowhere else to be seen.

    But have fun trying to use it a couple of times in pvp - you are not ad/ep by any chance?

    It was instant cast on PTS and a whole bunch of DKs started whining about it and it got nerfed. That is where the outrage is. If you want to sit there and cast and unsummon a very high magicka costing skill with a 1.3 second cast time, be my guest, but there is really no point and the skill is now useless.

    Sure they made clannfear heal you, but adding a whopping 1.3 cast time basicly makes it useless in pvp, anything with a cast time you can just forget about using against a capable oponenent. *sigh* the sorc nerfs are neverending, so glad im leveling another class atm.

    Give GDB or Healing ward a cast time of 1.3 seconds, lets see what happens.

    Im getting rather sick of this tbh....

    The cast time has made it worthless in PvP where Sorcs needed the heal the most.

    give tanks a cast time on their self heals, great idea, so no one can do dungeons? they gave sorcs a cast time cuz guess what, they use staffs, and are casters in cloth.

    They should feel lucky they even have a heal.

    GDB 1.3 cast time+petrify 1.2 cast time+Refleting scale :while reflect holds:dk's regen go to 0

    Don't forget the change to Rebate:

    Rebate: Fixed an issue where this ability was not restoring magicka when a Daedric pet was de-summoned or died, and the magicka restore from this passive now scales with your level instead of your maximum magicka.

    Not only does it have a long cast time, low heal (considering your low HP), but will also cost an arm and a leg.
