The strong populations of both AD and EP continuously smashing on DC haven't helped and even the recent events in Chillrend (which I find hilarious) have caused many to quit the game and or stop pvping to even save buffs.

^^^ This. Constantly getting picked on by the other two factions is tiresome. I've often seen them literally team up on the same side of a keep to take it from DC - even while each faction (AD and EP) alone already had twice the numbers that DC does. It gets old that they rarely fight each other, and instead consistently choose to pick on the smaller target. I can only assume they do it because it's just easier to target the smaller weaker faction - easier kills and easier keep takes. Personally I think it's rather lame and cowardly, but, well, such is life.

I'm new to MMO, and play this game because I like ES.

That being said, I am confused by this whole thread. What is the problem, and what is the proposed solution? Can anyone dumb it down for me?
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

a lot of people in guilds i know that pvp are already gone as of the TU announcement -- all of them DC guilds.
    VR14 Templar, VR14 DK, VR8 DK, VR7 NB, VR1 Sorcerer;
    All 3 Alliances;
2 Pre-order Imperial Accounts, yes that means 16 characters on NA alone

Or maybe EP can stop trying to take over every server including the DC buff server. It's completely possible for every alliance to have one buff server and then fight on the others. It's very discouraging when there's no hope of keeping buffs for your side in PVP when no one else wants to bother will the horde of people who dream of being dragonborn. So when you play EP you get bored because there's no challenge, switch sides and try getting the population up so it makes it fun for all sides. Also less exploits from the game devs would help but that won't see much until 1.6.

A few months ago, EP was looked at as the underdog alliance: we had no buff server and finished in last on Thornblade.

    Just sayin...

AD and EP guilds both seem to have made farming DC at Glade mine, Alessia farm and the bleakers/nickel gates their favorite past times. Guild groups crammed into confined spaces with bats/wall of elements mowing down hapless DC pugs for hours and no doubt chuckling to themselves in TS and patting themselves on the back for their awesome Ap/hour. DC often lacks guild groups of a large enough size to take on these EP/AD guilds. This gives EP and AD free reign to stomp all over DC over and over and over.

Then you wonder why the DC stopped playing on Thorn. Gee...I can't imagine why.

We're all talking about NA here, right? I could've sworn we EP won the first one at least.

EP won the first Wabbajack back when the Condemned were still a group. AD won Wabbajack 1.5, Thornblade 1.0, Thornblade 2.0, and I think EP squeeked out a victory in Thornblade 3.0. Thornblade 3.0 and Wabbajack 1.0 are the only EP faction victories I'd consider legit because they were done sans nightcapping and maintenance day capping for free points. (Same reason AD's victories are marred as well. Operation f__K yellow was always in effect.) But, ultimately, I don't give a f__k about points, I just want that sweet booty ;).

The same pundits always chirp on about organization and dedication or something. They really mean non-NA primetime groups being primarily one color so that they can purposefully struggle cuddle everyone's guards. I've watched this happen since Auriel's Bow 1.0. And that's why DC's win in Auriel's Bow 1.5/2.0 will always be my fondest memory :).

TFW winning at a game is determined more by who you can get to be on at a certain time than actually competing. WTB better thought out faction point system, PST.

Interesting. I don't think anybody has been farmed more on Thorn than EP has during the countless times AD and DC have captured Arrius Mine and Kingscrest Mill. DC may get farmed at Glade Mine on occasion; but it pales to how much EP is farmed - and they certainly did not quit.

I know of four different tactics that have worked to eliminate these resource tower farms. You might try educating people via zone chat, even if you have to do it several hundred times until they learn. As a loyal member of the Pact, I won't be offended if they never learn.

You know was thinking though doubt it would ever happen, maybe DC should take like 3 days off in a row and let ep and ad enjoy each other, but then again very little to do in game once you hit high vet ranks..-shrugs-

But has someone mentioned a lot of dcs are leaving or have left with the new version being announced, I'm going to stick around a while at-least until may to encourage new people to roll either ep or ad if they want to pvp depending on things, no point in them wasting time on dc with how things have always gone for dc, but we will see.

Edit: need to not watch things while sitting at a keep and typing, doing such things is unfocusing

We began operation [expletive] because of AD's relentless night capping and massive zerg of doom which was present at all hours. It's not like we have preference of color. Red is the new yellow.

yeah, I refuse to go past nikel to fight AD. even then it's rare to go to nikel unless ash repeatedly attacked by AD. I just don't get why DC wastes time there fighting AD, other than that it's just more fun to fight non lagspamming drones.

So if DC never attacks your home keeps you'll stop farming pugs for hours at glade mine or the ash gate? Yea somehow I doubt it.

It is absolutely not about the map or the point tick, its about taking the path of least resistance and farming the faction with the fewest large guilds for easy AP and lols. None of you are fighting DC for the competition or the challenge, its just so you can easy-mode your way up the leaderboards. Again, its a wonder that any DC play on Thorn at all anymore.

Pretty sure when there was nothing going on on the map anywhere else we just fought about 10 small scale 15v15 or so skirmishes at ash milegate/nikel. And you guys were most certainly NOT getting farmed. It was pretty even all said and done.

I mean if that isnt PvP, by all means tell me what is. Hell you even killed me once. When the only thing EP is doing on the map is sitting in Fare lumber farming bads that keep running up there, what am I supposed to do? Log?

I go where the fight is, and I dont mean the zergball, I cant stand the lagball big keep fights anymore. I ran solo tonight, tagged along with a small group for a bit, did my thing. Aint no AP farming going on here, I fight for every kill I get dude. wtf

Stop attacking Roe and Brindle and this would probably stop happening.

I mean red has your damned scroll, what the hell were you doing attacking Roebeck tonight?

So if DC never attacks your home keeps you'll stop farming pugs for hours at glade mine or the ash gate? Yea somehow I doubt it.

It is absolutely not about the map or the point tick, its about taking the path of least resistance and farming the faction with the fewest large guilds for easy AP and lols. None of you are fighting DC for the competition or the challenge, its just so you can easy-mode your way up the leaderboards. Again, its a wonder that any DC play on Thorn at all anymore.

Well I gotta admit, the northlands are a great place to train the new guys in the group. Just not that many intense DC groups rolling around up there. Is what it is.

Ring around the rosey at sejanus was both lulzy and fun. Must do that again. Too bad teargrants left ya hanging again. XD But that is his way.

Aint no AP farming going on here, I fight for every kill I get dude. wtf

I don't think Wahee's comment was directed at you specifically, rather at "you = AD." I've lost count of the number of times DC will be focused on EP only to have AD take a DC home keep resource or burst a DC home keep (more often than not to set up an AP farm). Meanwhile when this happens there are no red/yellow swords anywhere on the map. More often than not this results in DC pushing south instead of east (which inevitably results in DC getting pushed back to Glade because we don't have the numbers to fight on two fronts).

I understand the reason why this happens though: both DC and AD get tired of beating their heads against a wall fighting against the same EP batswarm group and look elsewhere for fights. But to say "don't attack Roe/Brindle & this won't happen" is disingenuous.
Unsubbed and no longer playing, but still checking the Alliance War forum for the lulz.
