Logic wise whole going into enemy territory and being treated like a hero nonsense is flawed too, but for the sake of having more zones to explore, I'm happy to overlook that. Same with justice system I guess, that contradiction is just a minor inconvenience, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Do you like to run things in all Khajiit teams? Me too, so don't ever hesitate to contact me in game (@RakshaTheKhajiit, PC NA) if you'd like to be in one of our all Khajiit runs or you need more Khajiit for your runs.

This. This is the root of the issue.

That being said, I don't think it's that big of a deal. It's just not logical.

The Fighter's Guild and Mage's Guild are SPECIFICALLY not aligned with any of the 3 factions - they are neutral.

Yet you find it "illogical" that the guards which the Figher's Guild provides aren't neutral and hold you accountable for crimes no matter where you go?

Like I said days ago, its NOT the job of the MMORPG to provide game mechanics for roleplaying. Its the roleplayer's job to roleplay whatever it is they want to roleplay in the world AS PROVIDED. No MMORPG company should allocate so much as a single hour to software development for roleplaying. Ever.

Murder is murder whether u kill a good guy or bad guy. If you kill someone you have to face justice (though it is swift and sometimes brutal). End of story.

    No.

Or, yes. And you go in jail immediately for having kill people in Cyrodiil. Ridiculous. People don't think on this forum?

This is because cyrodiil is a war zone and society makes an unethical exception to murder when being commanded by rulers to do it.

    Totally realistic.

    Hello.

Am a representative of the french roleplay community TESORP and I notice a LITTLE problem with the Justice System.

Proud member of the Ebonheart Pact, I travelled to Glenumbria and kill some Daggerfall Alliance soldiers in a military camp. Daggerfall guards attacked me, and, tired, I returned to Mournhold. And then, what a surprise, ordinators attacked me ! Why ordinators attack me when I'm just a HERO who BUTCHERED the ENNEMY ? Neither the banker do not want to speak to me? WHY?!

They could update the guards so when you leave a city/zone with a "kill on site" bounty, the first guard that see's you when you return to any city/zone, gives you the opportunity to pay a double bounty or be killed immediately. This would at least give you the opportunity to pay off the bounty instead of being immediately killed over and over again.

If you can't pay off the bounty, then serve x number of game hours in jail. This would be a continuous time clock so you could log on another character and play while doing time. Make it so you escape, after a certain amount of time you can pick the lock and escape without affecting your bounty status. After 30 game minutes 1 lockpick appears somewhere in the cell that you have to search really hard to find or wait your time out. Then go collect your things from the guards and move on.

Of course the Ordinators will attack you, silly! You're committing war crimes! Do you have any idea what kind of political backlash that will cause? Don't be so simple-minded. The Pact, the Covenant, the Dominion, none of them are out to slaughter the other factions, they're only trying to make sure that whoever sits on the Ruby Throne is one of theirs. You do know that, when it's all over, they're still going to have to rule all these people, right?

If your first thought is to mass-murder and steal from civilians in an enemy faction, maybe you're better off leaving the strategizing to the higher-ups and sticking to the front lines. ;-)

I agree, there are some horrible things in the world, and personally I would like to see some of the quests (or options) modified.

And yes, game mechanics can support (or inhibit) role playing. For instance there have been multiple times in quests for really obnoxious folks where I wished that

Punch [annoying character's name] in the face and walk away

had been one of the options.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

I think it would be cool if your "heat" was local and your notoriety spread over time based on distance from crimes committed. So you go on a killing spree in Wayrest and you escape to Koeglin Village. You repair your equipment then notice you are out of food. You go to craft some and you need some apples, so you go to the grocer but he won't talk to you now cause word has spread from Wayrest that you're a Murderous Prick.

So you sneak around the guards and go to Daggerfall. You buy your apples, craft your food, then decide to hit up the bank and guild stores. You spend a few minutes doing this and when you leave the bank you get accosted by the guards because now word has reached Daggerfall of your A$$hatery.

So, since you orignally from Aldmeri Dominion, you think "Pfft I'll just book it to Rawl'kha". You go about your business there for a bit. You hit up all the guild traders, buying low/selling high, crafting things, dancing naked, etc. A couple of hours have passed since you slaughtered women, chickens, pigs, and children (oh wait there are no children, but you would have) in Wayrest. Word has reach the entire Aldmeri Dominion that you are not a soldier fighting for control Cyrodil, but instead are a Serial Killing Worm. Now your entire homeland wants your head on a pike.

So you think to yourself "Pfft, I'll go to Mournhold, Nords are all a bunch of *** so they will take me in". Upon arriving you are startled to learn that all of the Ebonheart Pack also wants to have you drawn and quartered for being a Lunatic. Now you are hunted in all of Tameriel, time to find a fence and pay off that bounty.

Look the simple point is that The Pact is at WAR with the other alliances why/how are they killing each other on the battle field but claimly share bounties on that crimes are happening in their alliance

Would the allies in WW2 really care about crimes committed against the Germans no, no they wouldnt and don't. The simple fact that the enemies who kil for control of the Ruby Throne meet daily to talk about who the new thieves and assassins are.

And the biggest middle finger to the players is the fact the you're the hero of your people and are being killing by the very people you saved

But if silver and gold effectively makes you a new person to the ENEMY alliances then how the hell do they know you're the same person when you jump alliances it makes no sense

We definitely need standings. Like personal standings : Kill the store owner once and he will never sell you anything anymore. Kill three times and he will call guards on you every time when he sees you. Also, regional standings - kill too many people and you will not get the quests from royal family in this area, prices for you go up, you cannot sell anything, or something like this depending on your kill rating in area.

Loool, serioulsy ? U guys don't have to troll anymore, u already have your 5 stars...
If it weren't for roleplayers you would not have a single mmorpg.
The justice system itself is a roleplay addition to the game, designed to add gameplay features whilst making the game more realistic and immersive.
Choosing your race, class and playing the questions, even giving in to your hate of other factions in cyrodiil IS roleplaying.

That being said, having a "safe place" for criminals in their "home faction" is not less illogical than the way the justice system behaves atm.
Furthermore, this wouldn't be a "game exploit" if the bounties were permanent until character is convicted and pays is debt.
When pvp's justice system is up and running, bounty hunters should be allowed to pursued criminal even in their safe zones.

BTW mmorpg mechanics have always been a compromise between roleplay and gameplay. If it were 100% gameplay u wouldn't even understand the point of doing things and have no interrest in any of your choices. And if it were 100% roleplay, well, it would just be downright unplayable ^^.

Fine -- make it to where you can retreat to your home alliance after stealing/killing from another. However, make the wayshrines not function if you have a bounty.

Isn't the whole reason you can go into the other zones due to some magical mumbo-jumbo that Cadwell pulled out of his butt? So, you aren't actually an EP soldier over there, you are the hero, magically traveling in some sort of special way to be there and help the people and not be attacked on site. Even if you aren't the "hero" in your role-play, you still sat through the speech with Cadwell, you know the "rules."

Let's face it, if you can take the approach you did in your opening post, then you should be attacked on site throughout all enemy zones, criminal or not, and never be able to do business or bank, etc.

As for why it follows you back - aside from the normal game mechanics to keep people from abusing the system - it could be an aftereffect of Cadwell's magic bringing your crimes back with everything else (assuming you want to be able to keep your xp, loots, etc from magically traveling to another realm on the sly).

Role-play should fit the game, not the other way around IMO.

You are right. Explain me why people attacks a criminal if this criminal did his crimes in some kind of other dimension due to the Cadwell's magic ? The problem is guards attacking you from one faction/dimension to another, without any logic.

Pedanticism must rear its head! It was the Daedric Prince Meridia who did the magic mumbo jumbo. Cadwell is her hilariously insane undead mouthpiece.
