Make Alliance Rank Account Wide?

I think an account wide progression would be amazing, I really enjoy playing alts it keeps things fresh for me and ATM the pvp rank is really not alt friendly, they did it with CPs and I fully support them being account bound so why not alliance rank?

I wouldn't even mind if it was bound too one alliance so all my DC got the same rank and if I decided too reroll EP if have too start again, I can live with that, and if it was unbalanced in black water as some people suggest might be the case then I'd also happily support it being disabled in that campaign.

Making the system more alt friendly keeps players around longer when they'd normally have got bored and that can't be a bad thing

Oh this is a good thread, it would be better if it was a poll.

I support the idea of account wide ranks because it would assist in alleviating the idea that PvP is for grinding instead of it being for fun.

I think the BB's compatibility with this is a completely different topic, and simply because BB has compatability issues with just about everything, it wouldn't affect the level of complaining on the forums.

The skill lines are the major issue though and they are set out like that so it's not possible for a lvl30 to be running around slotting barrier with a 20% boost to magicka regen. These skills have a very high base value and would turn a lvlwhatever into a god. This would need to be changed if they wanted to make it account wide.

So yes, but it'll need some work to get there.

The issue would be the impact on BWB non-vet pvp.

New players would not have the benefit of Alliance skills and there fore be at a disadvantage. Non-vet has its issues but it seems to have less gap between players and one of those is Alliance skills.

Maybe if they could make it so Alliance Rank would no carry over to BWB but can on all other campaigns. Doubtful.
