The templar abilities unstable core and rune focus should be changed to completely new abilities.

-Unstable core rarely works (and from what I hear it can be CC broken) and when it does the damage doesn't do nearly enough It seems like a decent ability but its very, and I mean VERY situation based, mainly because It's only 1 target.

My suggestion is that a complete new ability comes into place. My idea would be a sphere that bends light around it to be cast out of the templar and move out 10 meters, For every enemy it passes through it would apply minor fracture and minor breach and deal 1000 flame damage. If it passes through an ally it would give them a minor protection buff.

The morphs for the ability could be
1. no longer applies minor fracture and minor breach to enemy, instead it does major mangle and gives allies major protection buff, but no longer deals damage.
2. Sphere circles the templar dealing increased damage but no longer debuffs enemies and grants caster minor force.

For Rune focus, I believe that templars should get a companion ability. All classes have one except Templars (it seems like out of all classes, templars would be 2nd to have one).

The reason why Rune focus isn't as good as it should be, is because it makes the templar more stationary, this is bad in Pve and PvP wise. In both you have to be on your toes and be ready to move quickly, either out of a bosses attack or an enemy ultimate.

Templars should get a sun orb to float slightly above them. The orb would grant allies with Minor vitality and grant the templar minor mending. The orb would heal an ally for a small amount every 4 seconds. The morphs could be something like:
1. The orb will grant the templar major mending, heal four targets every 4 seconds
2. Heal 1 nearby ally for a higher amount and grant that ally minor protection and major vitality

I just hope that rune focus and unstable core get changed, they currently seem like useless skills that really need an enhancement or complete makeover, Thanks for reading!

    You can move out now and keep the armor and resistance buffs for a whole 8 seconds...

    And if you want to change eclipse (a skill I like btw) give me back my blinding flashes.

    Unstable Core would be fine if the new explosion on Cleanse/CC Break stunned the target and knocked down nearby enemies in addition the small amount of damage it already does. Casting targets in PvP would have certain abilities taken off of the table for the duration.

    It sounds like you don't use this ability much. It's actually VERY useful against mobs in dungeons or in DSA. Instead of running around bashing everything, you can just bubble them. With the changes in 1.6, anything that CC breaks the bubble will suffer damage.

    I love my rune focus. As a healer, the channeled focus ability really helps with my mana regen. For tanks, being able to lay it down for a quick armor & spell resist overcharge is excellent. Plus, with the changes in 1.6, it will be even less expensive and the buffs last for 8 seconds after leaving the circle.

    In short, if you use these abilities correctly, they can be hugely worthwhile.

    The only use for Eclipse in PvP currently is 1. punish reflecting DKs that don't have CC immunity yet and 2. use Total Dark on NPCs to disable them while healing yourself. Both are far too situational to justify a place on my bar, especially considering its high magicka cost.

    The change to Unstable Core means nothing when the damage it deals is minor compared to the magicka expenditure.

    Personally, I'd change Eclipse like so:

    Eclipse: Magicka cost reduced by 20%.

    Total Dark: inflicts Minor Maim for 6s on target when broken.

    Unstable Core: enemies damaged by explosion are inflicted with Minor Fracture and Minor Breach for 10s.
