I skipp the Imperial edition, so i buy my first horse a 17k and later 2x42k for my main ... black with +20 stam +30 speed plus another with +50 bag space.

Plus another 42k for one of my alts .... under upgrading.

With 1g horse each alt can be use a mule.

I hope with new system wr have option to transfer mount between alts.

So i can use my 17k horse again.

It was, at one point, announced that there will be a window where you can manage your mounts / vanity pets, etc. This might mean that these will all be shared over all of your characters. Though I am not sure about that.

You really think thousands of console muppets are going to accept that they have to work for their achievements instead of buying the color they want in the store?

I don't agree. I would rather pay for some nice Questlines or dungeons to explore than silly costumes. That way I'm paying for Content, more playable areas, exploration. It would be silly for them to use profits from costumes to finance more content creation.

I'm not gonna buy any costumes, mounts or other vanity stuff whatsoever. I want more landmass, more challenges, more things to do. Not a stocked ingame wardrobe.

But hey, if people want tho pay for those kind of things ... it's up to them. Their silly vanity will make me have more content for free...

    1. You have to get achievements, it's convenient to buy them instead to earn them.
    2. Excellent, so what would be their point then, as cash shop will get at soem point get superior version of crafted items.
    3. It's convenient and ready source of revenue.
    4. And the size of DLC? Why, I could chop Craglorne into at least 4 DLCs and charge you for each one of them, won't THAT be fun?

    I want to be level 90 ( haha ) for 60 bux.

I might buy Motif packs... If they were a really good deal.

I WOULD buy extra storage for my personal bank and backpack. I want a 250 (lol) space backpack ...

I WTB a /sweetroll emote. Actually as SWTOR did a SMALL price on custom emotes you can only get in the store is ok.

Custom emotes/ clothing/ mounts / toy items I might be tempted on all that.

I would like race change and class change to be buyable.

Cosmetic mounts and armors rather not. I wan't to look cool because I earned to look good. Now everyone who is not good as me will look good as me and everyone who is better than me will look good as me and that is not fair. The most cool looking items and mounts should be awarded to best players, not be bough without effort by everyone. Yes, I will be buying shadowmere and probably quit sometimes after because there is no cool looking thigs to work towards for. I can just buy everything.

Lets be honest here. You can only gain items that beggars wear in game while all the cool looking items are in the shop. This is MMO, stats are not as important as looks and we can't buy stats but we can buy the things that actually matter, the looks. Looks should never be buyable, *** gamers should look like beggars and good players look like Kings

Made a whole thread on this and missed this one! Well, no point to let the dialog go to waste, here we go!
Morning all. It's a new day, take a deep breath, relax, and let's discuss crowns in the recent B2P announcement.

For those that watched me on stream last night (sorry for the long video, not a lot of time before work to edit it down) you already know I'm a bit lukewarm on the prospect of a B2P model, but I do have an understanding why things have moved toward this. This isn't to say B2P models are bad either, however in my experience of playing MMOs I have seen a loyal of pitfalls and issues arise.

The politics of the B2P model aside, the best way I see to ensure a viable system where we see viable content added, ZOS make a profit (thus, make more content), and prevent whales from being drained is to give feedback on what YOU want. This may be a little early, since we don't know what the 1.6 landscape will be like, but let's start with the game as we know it, what was announced, a few "I always wanted this", and finally a clear "DO NOT INCLUDE" this. Please, if you want to be heard, try to be a little positive with your replies.

What Should be Buyable with Crowns
    1. Soul gems (non transferable)
    2. Standard potions (health, stamina, magicka) that you can currently purchase for gold (non transferable)
    3. Repair kits (non transferable)
    4. Costumes (non transferable)
    5. Special motifs (gear is non transferable)
    6. DLC or DC passes
    7. Animations and gestures
    8. Hair dye and body changing kits
    9. Player housing and furniture (not currently implemented)
    10. Custom quest and area creation (not implemented, current suggestion)
    11. Coupons and discounts on real life items like the guar plush, mud crab plush, posters, hoodies, etc.

    On the Fence
    1. Infamy wipes when you have a bounty
    2. Faction changing
    3. Race changing
    4. Mara marriage contract/divorce
    5. Vampire/werewolf infection/cure potions

    What Shouldn't be Sold
    1. Transferable gear
    2. Weapons and items with stats over others
    3. Gear rewards from various dungeons, trials, and pvp vendors
    4. XP/Gold/AP for an hour boosters
    5. Extra lives in things like Trials
    6. Items that is more powerful than what we can make in the game
    7. "Loot" crates with randomized items and gambling to earn items

So what else folks? Please try to give some things you might want to buy with crowns and what you don't want.

If your someone that feels the entire crown system is horrible though and nothing should be buyable, please find a different thread to rant in, thanks

Thanks @ZOS_GaryA on keeping this thread recognized

When I say I'd be fine with having dye packs in the shop, I mean as a supplement to the existing achievement-based system, with the dyes available being different colours than the ones that are obtained via achievements. If they remove the achievement system, or make the achievement-obtained dyes available for purchase then I'm no longer OK with them selling dye packs.

    Here are my thoughts:

    1. When it comes to "quest crafting" occurs one problem which poped up in Neverwinter: so-called "leveling lifts" - as a quest creator you can make extreamly easy dungeon with bunch of drops plus huge amount of experience. With this tool you as a player can level character with a couple days or even hours.

    2. Costumes - as a declared PvP'er i really do not want to be annoyed with dozen of Jesters running around, killin', burnin' everyone in sight...
But when it comes with tactics - i really want to know against who i am fighting, that means if player wears costume, so you as a sneaky super-spider-monkey-ninja cant guess what that disguised player is wearing... and there comes unpleasant surprice.

    3. Motfits (as a unlockable books) - right now that "basic" are for 500~ gold per one in guild stores (EU server). Those "higher-level" are expensive cause they're just rare (that was one of reasons why i bought Imperial Edition ;) ) and makes trained crafters more valuable.

    4. Horses/Mounts - as for me just like this one from Imperial Edition, u just need to level it up. Nothing more aginst this idea. Ouch i almost forgot - "NO" for flying mounts.

    5. Basic potions, soul gems, repair kits, appearance/race change or even changing alliance (as for me that last one is just worthless devs "time consumer") will be tolerable, i think.

    6. Mentioned many moons ago - player housing! - anything else but not this (something resonable, of course), pleasee...

    Thats all... for now :p

    4. Barber shop services (people have been asking for ways to change the way their characters look for a long time)

I want this so badly in game that I want to scream "put in on the list!". But if in our haste to get something we offer to pay for something that F2P games (LOTRO) have built into the game for anyone and everyone with the in game currency.....how dumb are we? I'm not being a smartarse (atm) but why should we pay extra for a basic thing other games offer totally free just because we want it now? It's kinda asking to be suckered... (imo)

If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

Yes as we know dyes are connected to achievements. No reason why this would/should change. Dye packs could introduce dyes not attached to any achievements.
Once again I'm thinking gw2. You could obtain dyes from drops & crafting. Unique dyes were introduced through dye packs too, only purchasable through the gem store.

Why do people always bring up XP boosts as do nots? How does some one gaining XP faster than some one else directly affect their enjoyment of the game? It doesn't make sense. How would you even know I had an XP boost? Seems there are a lot more important things to worry about than an XP boost.

Our characters started out as the same level. Do the same amount of quests/kill the same number of enemies/critters/whatevers. Suddenly your character is X levels higher than mine, with the added magicka/health/stamina that entails, along with the skill points.

If you have more magicka/health/stamina than I do in pvp....gee. Why would some players be concerned about that?

On a pve/solo type of play you getting an experience boost doesn't matter. Under other circumstances, it just might.

Hmm, I just thought of an item that could potentially be in the Crown store:

Hireling chests. These would be exactly like the ones that you receive from hirelings, but available for purchase (although possibly limited to only being able to buy a certain number within a certain period of time).

I'm looking for input on this one before I suggest it in the thread that's going in the Developers Discussion board. Is this a good idea and harmless, or is it a bad idea that could ruin the crafting economy? Please give me reasons why this would be good or reasons why this would be bad! Help me to make up my mind on the idea!

If the xp boost carries over to the champion points, then it will have a p2w affect, particularly in pvp.
