Crown Store Item Wish List

  • PsychoAlien1412
I want to request a Temple Priest Robe in Solsthiem from The Elder Scrolls V: skyrim
and M'aiq costumn from The Elder Scrolls III : Morrowind
also an Item that can rebuild a character appearance.

I would, for $20!, like an item (ring perhaps) or simply a function in the game that allows me to shut off all experience... and here's the part where a player tells me I can and I owe them twenty dollars. =)

Aside from Imperial edition and 'real' DLC content, that item would be the only other thing I would buy from the store. I play in 1st person mode so I could care less if I look like hobo gypsy beggar.

I would like to see some things available to buy only when unlocked by specific achievements.
For example pack of wolf companions (3-4 wolves) that will follow you only if you unlock master werewolf achievement
    ...or bats for master vampire...
Would be also really cool to see costumes related to factions/guilds unlocked by achievements related to finishing quest lines (Fighter's Guild Champion, 'Master Caster' uber Mage  ) and simple things like full 'Going Out Fishing' outfit for Master Angler. In general things, that people can buy but ONLY if they really earn them. Achievement is enough for some ...others would use it to show off

I don't know if people are actually reading letters from their hirelings... But I do  and hireling follower/companion
that you can summon would be really cool. Would be cool alternative to receive items with the whole story behind it from actual person  and having few more dialog options (tell me a joke etc) to make it even more fun.

Definitely some really funny stuff to use in afk mode  Like all of the toys we're getting from some quests.
Let's say a classic outhouse with cut out heart on the door that you can activate and everyone knows you're afk till animation cancels on moving character. I bet ZOS will have plenty of ideas for packages of 'toys' like that.

    Almost forgot ...appearance items.
New hair styles, tattoos, body paint, piercings etc ...and ability to change it after character creation.

    Since it's a WISHLIST
I WISH there will be NO in game items that can be bought in the Crown Store (gear, weapons, crafting materials etc)
Nothing that boosts progression or rewards 'wallet warriors'.

As you have probably seen this same thing 20 times before, do NOT put things in the crown store that give players an edge or advantage over other players.

    New armor styles
    horse armor
    Hair style changes
    name changes
coat of arms (guild skins for a shield)
    bird pets (hawks, and eagles)
    housing
    time based companions for pve
    dyes (camouflage, or multicolored)
    nose rings, ear rings

DO NOT make the game a buy to win thing, it would completely ruin the game

Great. Now the game is pay-to-win.

How is offering XP boosts and mounts/costumes/pets considered pay to win?

What in that whole paragraph denotes pay to win? Can you buy top-tier gear with real cash? No? That'd be pay to win.

This sounds more like "pay to get nifty cosmetic shtuff and XP boosts to aid us in getting to max level"

Where's the "win" in that? Please, I'm legitimately having trouble finding it.

Give it 2 months. You'll only be able to get certain powerful items from the cash shop.

That's how this works. I've been through several subscription => F2P/cash shop transitions.

It starts out with costumes, and then when they need more money from the cash shop turns into "We are announcing artifacts. Super powerful items that you can only get in the cash shop".

I will stop playing the game if that happens

I'll begin with repeating my last post where I said that 90% people do not want THINGS THAT BREAK IMMERSION (I will address this issue in detail below). Remember, your entire profit relies on The Elder Scrolls community and you certainly don't want to make them (us) feel unhappy. Being "lore-unfriendly" is also one of the sins that people can't tolerate really well. Again, remember which community you're dealing with. Adding pink fluffy bear backpacks in GW2, where people don't give two craps about such things? Yes. Adding it in ESO? Hell no.

    First of all:
    1. Don't let greed cloud your judgement concerning what should be in store (for example listening to people who would desperately want pay-to-win items included in the store).
    2. Don't forget this is an AAA game. The title of the game is respected. Do not tarnish it in any way and keep this game as quality as possible.
    3. Don't forget to keep bringing us quality content.
    4. Do not - in any way - think that this shop (and money you earn from it) is more important than the satisfication of your LOYAL community.
    5. People will ALWAYS buy TONS of stuff from the store. Lore-friendliness, raising the level of immersion, making the game richer and even greater is what you should be going for
    6. Do NOT exaggerate. Remember that this is Nirn. This is Tamriel. This is Elder Scrolls.
    7. Be CREATIVE. Don't spam us with potions, mounts and costumes. Variety in the store is very important and is something that is going to get a lot of appreciation from the community.

IDEAS CONCERNING WHAT SHOULD BE IN STORE:

    1. Playable music instruments (writing in emote that repeatedly plays already known song is getting old - or already is): Let us be creative.
1.1 More Instruments (Tamriel is rich with culture and history yet it only has three instruments? Yeah, I don't think so.) that fit the game's fantasy/medieval atmosphere.
Why? For socializing, more fun, role-playing and immersion. It would be an amazing feature that is not available in many other MMORPG games. It would add to the game's depth, creativity and uniqueness.

    2. Music packs : Frankly, I do not care whether you put music packs for sale in Crown Store or release them via updates for free, we need them. More music is a neccessity and is something you have not yet delivered to the community. Music variability is something every MMORPG game needs.
Why? Quality music that fits the game is a huge factor in creating a great atmosphere in the game and it also adds to the immersion. More battle music for different boss fights is crucial and more environmental music would be great too. Many people feel the same way - atleast those who I had talked to.

    3. Emote packs: There are already tons of emotes in the game and they're great. Adding a few simple animations, even more specific ones, would be a beautiful present for the role-playing community. New dances would be interesting, for example.

    4. Appearance/character changes: Remember, do NOT exaggerate.
Should there be a barber shop? Yes.
Should there be an appearance change? Sure.
Should players be able to change their names? Of course.
Should players be able to change their race? No. Never.
Should players be able to buy access to the imperial race via imperial edition? Yes.
Hairstyle (facial and in general) packs would be something many people would consider buying too.

    5. New mounts: Keep them lore-friendly, but awesome in the same way. Avoid making mounts ouf of wild creatures that are almost impossible to be tamed (like the wamasu, giant spiders, mammoths...). Costumes (some kinds of clothes that would serve as an addition to their visual development from buying riding skills) would be an interesting thing too. Dressing your horse in guild colors would be amazing. Especially for PvP. DO NOT IN ANY WAY MAKE MOUNTS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR SOME TIME. You buy, you get it permanently. Period.

    6. Fashion (Dyes, costumes, etc.):
Different dyes? Sure. Just not the ones you get from achievements. Add new ones if you must. As far as costumes are concerned, cultural dresses for all races would be amazing. The same goes for profession costumes and every-day-life costumes. You could also add some Fighters guild and Mages guild uniforms.

Anyways, getting a bit tired. Might post some more stuff later. Thanks for reading.

This is what is up. Domenthecheif, I totally agree with you, and I think what you had to say is insightful, and the eso staff could benefit from reading it.

I would personally love to see lore based items for your crown store. Much like post have previously commented, we would not like to see items that take the customer out of the game visually (ie. santa hats and cupid arrows..etc). Im not saying lore based festivals based on actual holidays shouldn't be incorporated however. It would be an amazing thing to incorporate that type of lore that fits the game and still possibly celebrates what its mirrored holiday, if that is a direction you would be looking to go towards.
I am also agree that there should be some sort of update to character customization, increasing the amount of hairstyles, facial dimensions and things of that nature. I believe this is a very doable thing and has been asked for by the masses. Nothing critical, but definitely something to be looked at.
I am very happy thus far with all of the mounts and pets seen in the beta crown store that stay true to lore. If you continue on that path and don't divert to silly things, it will be more than enough for people to want those items (the black panther is looking pretty awesome  ). I feel as though most people are indifferent or on the fence when it comes to the discussion of "battle pets/mounts." I feel if done properly they would be a neat addition, but its such a fine line with paying for a battle pet, and that's another way to ptw, especially if they can be used in pvp...etc.
In the end, stay within the realm of Tamriel when thinking of all things for the crown store, don't cheapen the game with items that will have the lovers of the game feel as though its becoming pay to win, or as though it will just start to become extremely vain with items that have completely nothing to do with the game because of the season...because we DO NOT want to see summer swimsuits and beach balls.

Thank you for making a truly wonderful game.

Well, I'd want to see things like:

    1. Crafting materials of all kinds, including all the upgrade components.
    2. Respec tokens
    3. Instant Riding skill upgrades
    4. Alternative Animation Themes - So, if I pick "Necromancer" as a theme, all my spells stay identical in function, but the animations take on a dark, death-oriented theme, etc. Would add a lot of visual variety and customization options, without altering gameplay or power.
    5. Let me buy with money, anything that otherwise I have to pay for with time. I usually have more money than time.

I'm not really concerned about PvP, I don't do it - I would, if it weren't utterly broken, but as it is, I'm only thinking about PvE stuff.
  • fallen_phoenix
    Inventory Expansion
Sometimes I feel like I'm spending more time messing with my inventory than actually "adventuring". Grinding up gold, especially without a really active set of trade guilds, is also rather painful, so buying it "normally" can take some time. Would love to be able to buy an inventory expansion slot!

    Bank Expansion
Would love to be able to use crowns to get an expansion on my bank.

    Additional Character Slots
Due to the way ESO is modeled I don't see a reason for needing too many characters, but some folks would love that, so why not? :)

    Standard Race Crafting Motifs
The books you find rarely in the world for things like Imperial, Breton, Nord, etc. etc. crafting motifs would be a great addition. I wouldn't put the stuff as rare as like, Primal, up there, though. Kind of reduces its "specialness", but the standard racial motifs are often available through guild stores anyway.

    Crafting Inspiration
Maybe an item that gives X% bonus "inspiration" from deconstruction and crafting. Divvy it up by specific skill if you like, that's fine by me since I only intend to concentrate on a single craft at a time. Perhaps a "potion" that lasts, say, 24 hours? Since finding materials on your own can take quite a while in some cases (Blacksmithing for sure).

    Guild Store NPC "Chip In"
So there are guild store NPCs. What if you had a crown store item that was really, really expensive, and a whole guild needed to chip in for it? Members could throw in to the collective pot whatever they desired (from nothing at all, to all their crowns, up to the maximum cost) and when the pot fills up, the guild master is notified and can buy the NPC for selling that guild's items. The idea with this one is to make it so expensive that not just every guild out there will do it, only the most dedicated ones that couldn't get that NPC through other means.

    REALLY expensive crafting materials
The idea here is that by making it ridiculously expensive, you don't have somebody crafting top-tier stuff and churning it out like candy. Maybe even put a limit on the number you can buy per day/week/month, up to a maximum lifetime limit. I'm thining stuff like honing stones, pitch, etc.

    4) Character race change (" ")
    5) Character name change

    • The ability to turn off Experience gain ($20)
    • More character slots ($4 each)
    • Purchase Imperial separately (not the bundle) ($8)
    • Special bag that it's only purpose is to hold traits and raw crafting materials. Unlimited amount (but only one full stack of each) ($10)
    • Character Name change ($5)

The fact that they are in guild stores is the very reason why they shouldn't be in the crown store. By making them available for crowns you are reducing the strength of the in-game economy. Directly.

See above. This is a shortened route to Master Crafter status. It is more than somewhat unfortunate, don't you think, that the people who have been working on Crafting in a fairly dedicated fashion since day one (especially Enchanters) will soon be equaled, and possibly overtaken, by others who have merely invested some crowns. What a lovely way to add more top-tier crafters to the economy (thus change the dynamics of it) while at the same time devaluing the time the existing ones spent.

Why not just buy them through the guild stores or from one of the dozens of WTS messages I tend to see each evening? Why choose to weaken and remove value from the player economy like this?

    Please. ZOS. No.

there is no place to put this in the DEV section so im placing it here. I feel that this 10% bonus for ESO plus is crap. for 17.99 a bloody month 10% doesnt even register on any exp gains i see. I feel that 10% is a good starting point, but think it should scale. Why not have it start at 10% the first month im an eso plus member then 15% the second month then 20% the third, and so on to a cap of maybe 50%? then if i let my account laps/discontinue and decide to comeback at a later time it resets back to the 10%. I feel this would reward us loyal paying customers much more than a lacklustre 10%

    Thanks you.

I am a paying customer and will continue to pay my monthly fee after this game goes B2P and think this would be very wrong no offense. Those of us who are continuing to pay a sub are already being given a reward for subbing which is monthly crowns. The way they have it setup I personally in my opinion think that its done correctly and fairly. Those that have purchased the game and those that will purchase the game are already showing loyalty and support to the game. It would be wrong to alienate them by giving subs anymore then what we are already getting. B2P works for guild of wars and they seem to be successful there is no reason why ESO wont be either

    1. Welwa mount, I feel like they are just as reasonable as a senche tiger mount but cooler looking.
    2. Idk, this isn't really something that should be buy-able but rather just added to the game: the ability to choose whether you want the saddlestraps/helm/packs on your mount(s). I personally prefer plain mounts.
    3. Weapon over-rides that look more medievaly (I know, its elder scrolls) but every sword has a dumb looking crossguard or a silly blade. Breton looks ok but the handles are 6 light-years long. Handsome, simple weapons are the way to go and elder scrolls has done it before. Also a bare-handed mod for dual wielding would be swell.
    4. Barber shop/ re-skin/ everything that everyone else said. If you really wanna spice it up and make more profit, you could always add specific hairstyles, tattoos, etc. To the buyable version. I don't necessarily agree or disagree with that, but its an option.
    5. Costumes that are dyable, and also are different than just the armor that already exists in game. The sneak thief/shaman/knight/scout packs are all made up of armor that's currently in-game. If you really want costumes to be desirable, they need to be unique.
    6. People have already said this but don't break the lore. The nightmare horse mount is honestly borderline, leaning towards a big no-no. There are sooooooooooo many things you could do instead. So many things that you could pump out non stop that are lore/elder scrolls-abiding and people would love you for it.
    7. Get your pricing right. I'm not saying its wrong.. Yet.. But let's say you add emotes or something. If I see an emote worth more than like 100 crowns I'm gonna shake my head. I understand profits are to be made, but there's lots of little stuff you could add to rake in the dough bits at a time. Don't pay attention to only the mounts and costumes and big-ticket items.
I'm pretty sure I could add like 500 more things but I'm about to pass out.

I would like a vulture pet that only comes out when I'm at low health.

me and my in game wife married our 1st chars, in time we change main chars 3 or 4 times already, rings dont work in the other chars.
i was hoping u put mara rings in this shop, at least sumething usefull.
the only way to get it is upgrade my acc to imperial, and for my wife is impossible get 1 new ring since shes already spent her imperial rings in our 1st chars.
it worth 2500 crowns for mara ring? dont think so.

I would like to see flying mounts, dragons preferably but anything would be better then nothing!
it would be a time saver and for vanity mostly but a more expensive battle version would be cool too :D
