Gankimus saw something smart that @Armitas said in "The Call to Haderus" thread so he is stealing that idea and turning it into a discussion of his own.

Gankimus would very much like to see some changes to the way AP is calculated. This one is a terrible AP farmer, Gank has lost track of how many times he has missed keep or resource ticks because he is charging off to the place where the fight is instead of cleaning his claws waiting for the game to catch up and realize something has happened.

Gank was never very good at killing groups of worthy enemies by himself for big shiny AP piles so he keeps lots of friends around to do it for him. This one would like to see adjustments to the system that reward maneuver, responsiveness and group leadership. Not that Gank is suggesting the other AP rewards go away, keep and resource campers should be rewarded for their patience and anti-social elitist 1vX types should be encouraged to stay isolated.

Friendly things like rezzing dead allies, protecting scroll runs and achieving strategic alliance goals like cutting off or cutting short transit to objectives that need to be assaulted or defended could get special AP rewards. Gank feels that people with moderate leadership skills (for example, maybe people like Gankimus) should be able to be more competitive in the AP race with the players that prioritize individual AP gain over group cooperation.

This one solicits your opinions. All flamers please remember that Gankimus stole this terrible idea from @Armitas you may send your complaints to him.

    He is complaining about the fact that you get more AP when you stay in the keep after the fight. Those brave guys that push the enemie to the ressource miss the def-tick.
    My suggestion is binding the tick to the character, not to the location.

    The central thesis is that being Emperor should be a leadership position and the present AP generation system has some deficiencies rewarding the best leaders. The current system does not always reward team players and group leaders as well as it rewards solo players who have learned how to work the system. I would like folks on this thread to discuss ideas for rewarding group leaders and team players with more AP or make adjustments to the current system that rewards things like camping a keep under assault for AP until it flips instead of calling for support.

    For example, maybe it would be cool to provide an AP buff to the group leader, or buffs to players who stick close to crown. Bonus AP for taking multiple objectives in a certain period of time. AP for broader strategic goals like cutting transit and isolating keeps.

    If AD is pushing BRK and EP flags or captures Sejanus it can be very disruptive and be the difference between EP defending or losing. Players who eschew the big keep defense tick or AP farm to do those sorts of goal oriented things should get rewards consistent with the impact of their actions on the larger battlefield.

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)

    I've started two different threads regarding this issue and informed Zenimax multiple times thru /feedback. It was also raised to Brian Wheeler at the guild summit. They are aware of how the playerbase feels about this issue but have no plans on changing it.

    Yea, pretty annoying when you have been fighting for an hour for the defense of a keep. You finally start pushing them back and half your army is inside diddling around waiting for the defense tick. Aint nobody got time for that ***. Move people MOVE.

    Gankimus wonders if this could be fixed by expanding the tick radius to include the keep resources then awarding a bonus or multiplier to players who are fighting the enemy at the nearby resource when the tick goes off...

    Example from EP perspective: defending sejanus and breaking the enemy siege. Immediately send the bulk of the raids to the bridge towards allessia to stop the AD from coming back whilst a small group repairs.

    Only the small group would get defense tick. I don't know if it is possible to link the defense tick to a character and have it scale off the amount that that character was fighting on location.

    Same goes for expanding it over resources at keeps. If we have 2/3 resources I sometimes say: *** it, push on. We'd miss the tick

    This would be awesome, yes. ZOS, please listen to the khajiit speaking, he seems to know what he's talking about. I don't see why this can't be done.
