"Newt Cave Explorer" achivement impossible to get - boss doesn't spawn

The acievement for clearing Newt Cave in Cyrodiil is impossible to get, since the second boss, Gravel Tooth, doesn't spawn. Suggest either changing the spawn, or changing the achievement so only one of the bosses is needed.

Bosses do not spawn on a timer in Cyrodiil. You kill whatever boss is currently active, then a couple minutes later another boss spawns. Might be the same boss or a different boss. But you can't camp near where the boss you want spawns if he is not there. If he is not there, it means a different boss is active and you need to go kill that boss to get a new boss spawn. But sometimes the boss(es) you don't need will keep spawning over and over. Just bad luck. It is completely random. Just keep killing bosses and the boss you want will spawn eventually.

I got New Cave. However, I can never get Gaston Ashham in Lipsand Tarn to spawn. I spent hours in that place on three different occasions, killing Marbita over and over, but this guy just refuses to appear. So annoying.

It's frustrating. I've found that if you kill a boss and just sit around in their area they seem less lightly to respawn there.

Follow the above advice and have patience. Unless a new bug has developed, it works just like Dagoth said. I got the Cyrodil Explorer Achievement, and I've seen others with the title, so it can be done.

Yep. The spawn timer seems to be about 10 minutes (from when I was doing it). I was able to get it, but it took a few tries on some dungeons. Some of the bosses were far more frustrating than others (generally in dungeons that had two bosses).

It is definately longer than 10 minutes!
I killed the bat boss, then went further into the dungeon, got the skyshard, and then went to where Gravel Tooth was supposed to be but he simply isn't there, only two regular trolls... Even went back to the other boss' cave, but that doesn't respawn either. Sorry, but this is definately bugged!

One of the tips I followed was to pick up ALL loot from bosses, so there is no corpse. If you aren't doing this, maybe give it a try.

It's definitely not bugged. Annoying yes, but not bugged. I have the Cyrodiil cave explorer achievement too. The trick is to have something else to do other than ESO. Camp out for the boss you need, if you've killed the other bosses in the cave recently and you've waited more than 10 mins for the boss you need, than it's probably not going to happen for hours, or even a day. Solution? Log off camped in a hidden location where your boss will show, and log on again tomorrow, or several hours (at least) later. Watch a movie, read a book, go to work, or sleep, and come back. This is how I killed about 10 bosses that just would NOT spawn for me. Took me a couple weeks, but I got a lot of non-ESO stuff done while waiting.

So annoying? Hell yes. But it's not a bug, just a not-well-thought-out game mechanic that makes boss spawns random.

Seems watching Battle of the Five Armies helped... :P Logged back on again when I got back from the cinema, and after a little running around he finally spawned... What a friggin' disappointment though, he went down easier than the regular trolls in the cave... Guess I'll have to count the poor Dominion Nightblade I ganked in the cave as a bonus *evil laugh*

To save some time, I might also suggest logging into your Alliance War guest server and finishing Newt Cave there. A change in server may bring faster results. If you're in an Alliance with a buff server, then all the easier ... don't forget to finish your skyshard and Cyrodiil Champion quest achievements at the same time.

My guest server is currently set to Thornblade ... so, as the post above noted, beware of AD gankers about.

Not bugged. Just takes hours of relogging to get those final bosses.

Log off, do it another day with better RNG. That is how I did mine, without a huge headache. Don't remember to kill the spawned bosses though, so you might get lucky getting those achievements takes a lot of time, and is both problematic and annoying.
