This is a picture of the "Steed" mundus stone. Under the new Champion system one will be able to apply points (earned by "VR" levelling I think) to the "abilities" of the mundus stone one has equipped.

Sure, but I was referring to the "War Mount" boon in the lower part of the picture. The Championship Points are based on XP earned with any of your level 50 characters (currently VR 1-14) and while the points go into a global account that can be used on any character the point distribution and hence the boons are character specific.

CP are earned by ANY level character on your account that earns XP not just level 50's. CP can only be USED by level 50's on your account and yes each character can use the entire pool however they want.

Will class this as awesome if the Magicka section has something as redundant.

Right now seeing that tanky-build characters have a whole tree potentially dedicated to mounts; unless "War Mount" makes it so that horses can be ridden in combat, feel like this potentially speaks ill of balance in the Champion System already.

    Only time will tell.

Yes, I forgot, they addressed that before so people wouldn't worry about using a low level alt. I was probably thinking about the fact that you still earn CP even if you are max level. Thanks for the correction.

But you make a good point there also. I'm sure there are some who think once you hit VR14 then you won't gain anything towards CP so it's good to point that out also.

For clarification: CS points can only be earned by level 50 characters. Characters from Level 1-49 earn "Enlightenment2 instead, which basically reduces the time needed to earn the next CS Point, but does not count as CS point itself. However, each character, including the ones below level 50, can spend CS point, and each character can spend them in an individual way.

I completely agree, but as you said, it is probably a bit early to start a flame thread on how stamina builds are on a disadvantage because they have a tree potentially (plain assumption) dedicated to Mounts. ;)

Nice links I'll check out the video since I haven't watched it yet. I will have to see for myself what they say about sub 50's "Enlightenment" because it's sounds odd that they would allow sub 50's to spend CP but not allow them to earn actual CP. Paul Sage originally said in the Quakecon video that Champion Points would be earned on a purely XP basis which would mean ALL characters would contribute to the pool, this other concept of "Enlightenment" not earning actual CP just seems out of place in that system.

I think it is because the actual CS progression is intended for the post level 50 players, the Enlightenment feature allows player to level new chars without falling too far behind their mates, which in the end reduces the gap between hardcore and casual players. I however don't understand either, why they allow pre level 50 characters to spend CS points, since it will make the content a lot easier for them, maybe I'm just missinformed (which I doubt, because I've heard the same thing from several sources).

I have listened to the entire video and here are the specific highlights in regards to Champion Points, how they're earned, and how they're spent.

    Marie (couldn't understand last name) @ 42:47
"New progression system that will allow your character to advance & progress past LvL 50. So once you hit LvL 50, there's another progression system that opens up and you can start spending more points in that system, and that system is Champion."

(You must have at least 1 LvL 50 in order to unlock the Champion system)

    Marie @ 43:13
"All the characters on your account get the benefits you have earned and this includes you non-LvL 50 characters. Soon as you hit LvL 50, Champion unlocks for you account. You can start spending CP on your LvL 50 character & you can spend them on your non-LvL 50 characters. Those points are not shared. So if you have 50 CP, you can spend 50 CP on your highest LvL character & you can spend 50 CP on your alts. You will be able to respec it, per character."

(ALL 8 characters get to spend the entire pool independently)

    Marie @ 45:12
"Ok, so Champion is also earned account wide. You earn though XP and only LvL 50's can earn towards the next CP."

(Non-LvL 50's do NOT earn credit towards CP, not in the traditional sense. A problem with this was brought up about Altoholics that have NO Veteran characters to which Paul Sage said "Now they have a reason to hit LvL 50." Personally I think that's a low blow for players who love playing alts and don't care about hitting 50, they will never have access to the Champion system)

    Marie @ 1:27:36
"There will be a way for people to catch up and it's called Enlightenment."

(She actually misunderstood the question from the Guild panel which was about players catching up to future tiered/season gear)

    Marie @ 1:28:40
"Enlightenment boosts the XP earned towards CP only. So it works on your LvL 50 character, because only LvL 50's can earn CP and it boosts the XP you earn towards the next CP. You accumulate Enlightenment as long as a LvL 50 character exists on your account. Your account will earn Enlightenment while on alts so when you go back to your LvL 50, boom you have Enlightenment."

(She specifically said this is a timer based system, maybe every 10 minutes, that works even offline or standing in town doing nothing. Sounds like a form of Rested XP to me. She said they're looking at an Enlightenment cap of about how much it takes to earn 1 CP)

So it's your account that earns CP, at a slow rate and with an artificial cap until the Enlightenment is used by a LvL 50 character. Or you can power level that CP by jumping on your highest VR character. On the issue of how long it'll take to cap, it's FAR longer than many would like but I think it's great that they have it set to take that long... Hint, nobody will be at cap before the end of 2015 ;)

Thanks to today's "ESO Live!" I know what it does - your horse doesn't burn stamina under certain conditions (when you aren't in combat? think I misheard that) so it's harder to be knocked off.
