Serious WebGet request failed issues

I know this is a heavily discussed issue, but my launcher refuses to update no matter what I do. I've run as admin, updated drivers and other software, run supporting software, turned off virus protection and ad blockers, uninstalled and re-installed the launcher, repaired the launcher, etc., but nothing ever seems to work. I've also noticed on forums that others have their launchers get to a certain percent update status, but mine fails almost immediately after it starts attempting to download. This has been a serious problem for a few months now, and I've noticed that the other mmorpgs on my computer, specifically SWTOR and D&D Online, are having similar issues. I've included the game consultant data in an attached file. I'd appreciate any advice as to how I should go about dealing with this problem.

uhm its just a NAT/DNS issue. Flush your DNS and you will be fine.

    Start-run-cmd ipconfig /flush dns

    profit.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

    Hey there @MrNicknameman,

The pathping and traceroutes in the game consultant file are showing pretty significant packet losses when attempting to reach any of the ESO services (the game server or the content host server). Losses like that are usually common to one of two things:
    1. You're on a restricted network, such as a school or work connection
    2. You're connected through a VPN, Proxy, or other internet routing service
If one of those happens to be true, you'll need to contact your network administrator to determine the issue, or simply disable any VPN software you are currently running.

If neither of those are true, our first suggestion is to ensure that the ports for ESO are opened to allow you access to the appropriate content.

To best access The Elder Scrolls Online, players should configure their routers to open the following outbound ports:
    •TCP / UDP Ports 24100 through 24131
    •TCP / UDP Ports 24500 through 24507
    •TCP / UDP Ports 24300 through 24331

Please also note that Ports 80 and 443 should be open to allow general HTTP and HTTPS access.

Let us know if that helps!

I had the same issues with the last update. Flushing the DNS fixed mine. Being someone that is quite tech savy I was so glad to see someone put together a wonderful post on why you should not just start opening ports:

I flushed the DNS, but it still isn't working. I haven't opened any ports or anything and I'm fairly certain there aren't restrictions on my connection. Any other advice?

Here is everything CS suggested when I had that issue:

    https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3040?_ga=1.195412012.1622812821.1396102861

Flushing the DNS worked and most of the above did not apply to me.

The only thing in that link I haven't been able to do is disable the proxy server, as it automatically resets after I exit the manager. I looked at other forums discussing why this could be, and it seemed most people with this problem couldn't connect to the internet at all. I'll try contacting CS directly for a more specific answer. Thanks, though.
