With all the conflict in the forums (probably a miniscule part of the player base -- same people always posting), I got to thinking about why I care enough to even bother.
I do love Elder Scrolls and I want to see this game thrive. Regardless of whether you complain about the latest patch or white knight, probably we all have that in common to some degree.
What is it about ESO that makes you care about it, like it, want it to succeed?
For me the top three:
1 Subscription based with no in-game cash shop or free-to-play option (seriously)
2 Art: The art style of Elder Scrolls -- it's Elder Scrolls! -- and the quest writing and funny things NPCs say
3 The importance of crafting (i.e., it's not a gear grind like most themeparks)
I'll let you know when they fix the patching process and I'm actually able to install the game.

Ah, yes, the memorable tale of Lifts-Her-Tail.

heh... I came across this thread and just found it funny how all @blud is left with is #2... ESO is no longer sub and it seems to growing toward a gear grind.
It seems that @Blud is still around through... so Blud, is #2 enough to keep you playing afterall?
