[Bug Report] Visual modification of character gear with update 5

I just noticed a very strange layer of metallic colors over my character's gear.
When switching armor pieces, everything goes back to normal for half a second and then that layer reappears
When dyeing armor, everything goes back to normal for half a second and the layer appears as well.
My character:

It is also visible without wearing any gear:
My character doesn't have tattoos or mud on her face!
It happens with and without addons.
Other players ingame see that layer, it's not just client-side.
I tried restarting and repairing the client, without any effect.
The character selection page displays the proper visual.
The same layer applies when I try to wear a costume.
I only noticed this after I dyed "Bogdan the nigtflame's Visage", one of the new dungeon sets.
I didn't use the /bug tool since this issue is quite hard to explain without screenshots.

A bit of advice that isn't super great, but easy to try. Dying clears the effects on a character and should prevent this from reappearing. We recommend giving this a shot first since it's pretty quick and easy.
