Been going 40+ minutes and still at 2%

Internet isn't too bad, so this can't be normal can it?

Took me a few hours and I have 15 MB internet. It also does it in parts it seems like cause I looked over and it was downloading a 1.95 mbs then later on it was 15 mb then later 1.95 again. So I dunno.

I believe it is normal for this update. it took me around 2 hours, give or take, and I have a beast of a gaming laptop. hang in there.

I get impatient too watching paint dry...

This is why I start the launcher on patch days before I go to work and it's all ready for me when I get home. All the game clients getting updated at once can slow things down from time to time.

Today I forgot this morning so I went home at lunch and started it up. I was seeing 1.2 MB/s from the launcher but did not pay attention to the progress as I left to go back to work. This was at noon mountain time.

Depends on your Internet connection to some extent. I downloaded and installed inside of 45-50 minutes.

Also, they just bounced the server so it could be related to that issue. It may resume at a normal rate once it gets back up again.

I havn't seen the download speed exceed 30 kb/s. Been downloading for an hour. So the patch will be done by next Monday if all goes well. I have no problem downloading games via steam at 10,000 kb/s.

Wow, that's extremely slow then! What I do when the speed goes down is pausing and then continue the download, sometimes it's kinda "pushing" the speed for a while. Good luck...
Oh, I saw your edit too late^^ Yeah, on Steam I don't have these problems either.

Guesstimate at least 8hrs here on my old DSL. Getting 350kb/s

Instead of the monster patch I wish they'd break it up into smaller weekly ones

I just paused and closed the launcher (Impatient)
Restarting it i went from a very poor 200kbs to 4.26mbs.
Could help?

Before the server went down, 20kb/s. After the server went down, 400kb/s. Normal patch times... 1.5mb/s.

Don't worry, @demonlkojipub19_ESO. Your launcher is just an overachiever that wants to make sure the latest update is really downloaded. Shouldn't be much longer!

@ZOS_JasonLeavey, Well mine is stuck in a loop. Been downloading all day. I got a 5 gig patch then a 20 gig something and another 5 gig with totally silly download speeds. What are my options now ? Is there any way to delete the launcher totally and redownload it because this thing just keeps looping. I opened a ticket but haven't heard anything 141103-001103.

same problem here. I don't generally have too many issues when they do smaller updates, but on the days where they add quite a bit to the game I'm stuck downloading all day after waiting for the maintenance to be done...I am also having issues with my wifi due interference in signal from things outside my house so that makes it worse sadly. actually thinking about borrowing someones else's internet connection for this one...so slow

glad it's not just me then. I was beginning to think something was horribly wrong

also no matter how many times I close the launcher and re-launch I seem permanently stuck at around 8-9%, weird

Start patching. Get 3mb down for few seconds, then 500kb/s down for 30 seconds, then 10-30kb/s until I pause, restart the launcher, and resume.

Nevermind my trick stopped working... stuck at 30kb/s maximum again.

Yep, fluctuating 500kb/s to 4mb/s, back and forth. Normally 5-10mb/s.

i've been at 11 percent, with the d/l running at sub dialup speeds (on a 60+ mbps connection, btw) for over 3 hours.

not among my finest hours with eso, to date.

Mine's been chugging along at its usual Kb/sec since late morning and is now at 85%.

The 20G+ was the 5G+ patch unpacking and being applied I believe.

Mine was followed by an additional almost 5G as well, waiting for the unpack...

They really need to rent a larger Internet connection when they post updates like this. It should only take minutes and not hours for this update.

this is what it's looked like most of the day:

If my download is feeling particularly generous it will go up to a whopping 60kb/s...that's about it.

I just chalk up a days loss of play time during big patch days.. Gotta actually pretend like I'm a good dad and spend time with my kids.. Sucks!

I have the fastest internet available in my area (which still sucks) and I am at 18% download after 6+ hours. Every half hour or so the download rate just tapers off to nothing and I have to restart the launcher to get it dowloading at full speed again.
