Does the game get any harder after 20?

I am nearing 20 but I'm getting bored of all the mindless splatting of mobs. I hoped the solo dungeons might give me some fun challenges but so far even the bosses have died with 3 spells. I also didn't like the group dungeon either, nobody spoke apart from one sentence in german which I don't speak, and it was just too pew pew pew for my taste.

Can anyone over 20 let me know if the difficulty changes much after 20?

Thanks

Yeah but not by much until you hit vet level dungeons and trials and endgame stuff that requires a group to not be all Derp about it. But for the most part not by much. It used to.......

Yes, the older you get the slower your reaction time gets. One day you might need a walker or cane to get around. Your eye sight will fail you and you will start to drool more. Remember to ware Depends.
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.
Is the glass half full or half empty?
I say, "Get a smaller glass."

I kinda have that "getting bored with this already" feeling as well in pve. The difficulty does get a little harder and you can always do just the main story line quests in each zone and move on for more of a challenge. Quite often around 40ish you'll notice some difficulty and if not then I'd say definitely around v1-v2.

I honestly have a hard time enjoying extended periods of pve, so maybe tryout the pvp? Some of your stats get boosted like hp, some regen, and maybe a bit of armor and spell resist so you can be competitive. I've taken down a V9 with my level 21 dw nb. Definitely will provide more of a challenge :D
My horse can fall off a cliff and then race to the other side of Cyrodil with his mangled legs.....but he cannot defeat the face of a mudcrab, a small rock, and occasionally has problems with stairs. -_-

Thanks guys, I think I'll just go back to my old game. I was glad to see this game at least. I think it will be popular, I was just spoilt by Everquest heh. Thanks again.

Yup, the game gets a lot more difficult as you go. As with all games, things are easy going when you first get started. Once you reach a point you will be unable to solo anything, unless you are truly epic.

I blame WoW, even though I have never played that game. Also, you can't compare this to EQ. It's newer graphics but the game is easy mode. If you stuck with it you would find it has it's charms. The story telling in this game is fantastic and there are times when the landscape and sun or stars makes you go - ooooooooh!

The difficulty plateaus at around level 25, until you hit end-game group content. VR questing used to be tougher but they nerfed it several times. If you're just looking for difficult content and don't enjoy the questing for its own sake, then you can either grind to max or move on.

The main PvE questing portion of the game from levels 1-49 is pretty easy. Once you hit Veteran Ranks it gets harder, but still isn't all that challenging.

World bosses are a great challenge to solo or duo (the skull and crossbones on the map). Same with public dungeons (the non instanced ones). Solo deungeons (delves) are interesting and maybe a bit harder than open world PvE. Instanced group dungeons are always a challenge.

Craglorn, but that's closer to end-game stuff

There is a lot of challenging content in the game, it's just not presented in the same way as something like Everquest. For the standard day-to-day PvE'ing and questing, you'll have to find more enjoyment in the exploration and story telling to really appreciate it.

Sadly, the greatest challenge is the group dungeons and PvP. So if you don't PvP or enjoy grouping, you likely won't find much of a challenge.
Templars are 'just slower... by design'
Yes, Gina actually said that (at least regarding Rushed Ceremony) right here:
    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/161959/templar-skills-bugged-made-useless-ignored/p24
VR 16 Templar (retired until Templars get fixed)
    VR 16 Sorcerer
    38 Nightblade
    24 DK

You can always travel to a zone that's a few levels (or more) higher than you to solo some mobs with difficulty.

Hi again will the new patch help any of my problems do you think? I already cancelled but I still have 2 weeks of my free month remaining. I read the patch notes but it seems the bosses might be a harder but not much else. Not sure if I should try again?
