Roughly 1.2 Million according to revenue figures from Superdata.

Ok... show us the math. Without a sub you can't get their base numbers. They admit that ZOS doesn't provide them. They say they are from transactions that, legally, they have no access to.
So... why should I find them reliable?

Even if Zenimax released their own subscription numbers, you'd never know if it was legit or not. They could artificially inflate the numbers just to make it look good and you would never know.

You have to factor in the turtle population of Oregon though. I'd say, if the south by south east cold front holds steady we'd be right around the ball park of bicycle.

Just out of curiosity, anyone knows or have an idea how many active players ESO has up to date?

Zenimax isn't talking because I suspect that the total number of ACTIVE players is horrendously small.
On the NA server, I would suspect that there are no more than 30,000 active players. I see the same names over and over.
Even if every faction had TEN completely full, active guilds (there aren't) there would be about 5000 per faction.
If I had to guess, 8pm EST to 2 am EST there are probably 9000 people online, max
