New PvE content

Is there any plans to add new PvE content? I am on my third character, having taken a char to Vr12 and one to Vr11. I am really getting bored and am thinking I may have to just cancel my subscription. I do not have any desire to group most of the time and hate PvP.

no offense, but we already have 18 PvE zones, we don't need more PvE. its time for PvP to get the attention it deserves.

idk how to help you though. we are getting a.... wrothgar, I believe it was called, later on? that is supposed to be a PvE zone

You may like PvP, but many do not. I already know 3 people that have cancelled because of boredom, and I suspect many others have as well. Look at the diminishing people in most zones

I have played ESO since "Arena", through the problems of "Daggerfall", etc. Guess what, those were all PvE games, which is where most of the fan base comes from.

alright, I can tell you were offended. so ill make this brief:

again, this game has 18PvE zones, 19 soon.

and you may like PvE, but there are many that like PvP. a lot of people have canceled their subs because PvP has been heavily ignored the past 4+ months, just to do PvE.

I suspect you are wrong but if people are making VR1 and then "grinding", I think they are missing the point of the game. I presently am playing a VR1 Sorcerer and have made a VR11 Sorcerer and a VR12 Dragonknight and did it all through questing. Another pet class might help, but the third time through gets a bit too much.

If they follow your wishes, there probably won't be enough players to support the server.

Apparently you misread my original post. I was asking if new PvE content was in the works in the PvE discussion thread. As often happens on these forums, you get some PvP guy foaming at the mouth. I tried to answer him reasonably.

In your original post you said something about "Lie there, all your answers do."
I thought the comment was directed at the other reply; if not, care to point out where "all my lies" are.

To answer your question, yes, there is new pve content coming.
The guild summit streams give more details as to "what".
In the meantime maybe try out some acheivements or give some of the group content another go. There's many types of group content and some may surprise you

Thanks, I don't follow much except stuff related to crafts and characters. I rarely come to these forums; that I am here shows how bored I am ..

I've had it. Gone through all of the factions with toons of all races and professions. I MIGHT have stayed subbed until Wrothgar but the final nail in the coffin is ZOS allowing on these forums of PvE players by the group/PvP crowd. You don't need to look beyond this thread to see it. Why in the world these people feel the need to come to a specific PvE forum to bash those here instead of just playing their game or discussing it in their own PP forum is beyond me but it creates a game community that is uncomfortable to the point that I decline to be a part of it. I find no reason for me to renew my 6 month sub next month.

There might be 18PvE zones, which I had visited and finished with them months ago.
End game content is lacking, ZOS just needs to add a ton of trials, more DSA with more rounds, etc, maybe a DSA per zone, with different focused mobs and all that with normal and veteran and hardmode settings.

And more challenging, a solo DSA or a solo trial

That's all we need, some sort of content to keep us PVE players busy.

I agree with you. I think there should be more pve content. The trials are headed in the right direction as far as difficulty and time required, but still, with only 3 available, it can make life very boring on the PVE side of things. I know trials musn't be easy to create and develop but with the rate people are getting through them they're going to need to come out with them more frequently.


Have you done all of the dungeon achieves, delves, trials, OP?

Murkmire (similar to Craglorn) and Wrothgar should be coming relatively soon-ish. But srsly, we've had 6 months of nothing but PvE updates. How would you feel if the game hadn't been updated since launch? PvP'ers know how it feels. I would very much like them to do nothing but PvP updates for awhile until they are able to mostly fix the current content and add some new stuff, but unfortunately, you are the majority...

Adding more PvE is one of the few problems ZOS has NOT had.

Not lie as in to not tell the truth. Lie as in lay down, to rest at a certain place. It was an attempt to be all Yoda-wise and whatnot.

But...update 5 is already on PTS? New vet dungeon, dungeon scaling, undaunted/crafting quests? That seems like a looooooot of PvE stuff to me, can't wait to try it out.

Besides, I'd rather they take their time than roll even more bugs at us. But bugs aside, they've been updating pretty steadily and next update is at the door already^^

Also, much as I like PvE and suck at PvP, PvP people really need some love at this point. There've been virtually no update for PvP at all since launch and the bugs and crashing don't seem to be any better either.

Indeed. Man there's A LOT of stuff coming in in 7 days (aprox.) All dungeons will be scaled to your level, better group finding features, new PvE Dungeon, all the undaunted skill line stuff.

And you didn't run through the arena because you're not VR14 yet, neither the Trials, dude, there's a lot of stuff.

And if what you like it's PvE zones with questing only... you had a few >.< Doubt you've completed all Solo zones, but if you did try grouping up!

The problem with the OP's post is it is improperly titled. He wants new SOLO PvE content. Also, apparently, it seems that he doesn't believe that the people who do group PvE have any right on the PvE forum. In other words.. just go back to Skyrim already.

Point is that the 50 million people who bought Skyrim, and goodness knows how many purchasing installments in this franchise for two decades, enjoy single player games.

They got that experience here too. They want more of it. They pay the same money as the folks who enjoy multiplayer. If they don't get it, they'll leave and return when there is a complete refresh of that type of content.

Otherwise it's a television series that has been cancelled. Only reruns. Or some holidays specials.

They are not bad or stupid. They don't suffer from "not getting it" or any other such nonsense. Rather, they legitimately feel the victims of bait and switch. It makes no sense to this player that you can't reach the maximum level by questing IN YOUR FACTION and solo if you wish. Single player games are not released with such compromises.

MMO has outgrown its acronym. It was a stupid acronym to begin with. Now it's a meaningless one.

ESO was never meant to be a single player PvE game. And will not survive trying to cater to JUST the fan base of the ES series, that are content being hermits. ESO is an MMO and as such should have a multitude of content for every sort of player to enjoy.

And don't start that, "But I'm a solo player, why does ESO hate us?" They don't, you're encouraged to take a chance at experiencing things no other ES game could provide.

Ball's in your court.

If they're bored and don't want to group then that's, I'm sorry to say it, their and your problems. There are plenty of tools at your disposal to make the game fun an interesting, the existence of other players and the availability to play with them and to make connections and forge friendships is one of those tools.

You can't just say, "There's nothing for me here." When clearly there is, you just refuse to take advantage of it.

What "bait and switch"? Where in all of it's advertisement was this game ever marketed as "Skyrim 2 with online friends!"

It's an MMO within the ES Universe. If Elder Scrolls 132 Skyrowindblivion Return of the Dragonborn vs Mehrune Dagon 2 was what these 'victims' wanted, then they gave THEMSELVES that false hope.

Multiplayer is what keeps MMO's alive. Not catering to people's desire to be alone in a crowded room.

There are two PvE zones in the works if I'm reading things correctly. Murkmire and Hrothgar.

Spellcrafting also has potential to fill in the gap for having repeatable/intriguing PvE content. It's a while off yet, but it was explained that you find and enter portals and go hunting for tablets within.

I am glad you know what I want, even if it is wrong. I duo often and group on occasion. I was complaining about whining PvP players on this thread and nothing else.

Really? The lack of solo content is why guilds don't raid anymore? Gee... I would have thought that it would have been more attributed to the lack of any meaningful itemization in PvE.. which is something that the "solo" playerbase of this game vehemently opposes any change to.

And what exactly are you trying to prove with your last tidbit of nonsense? That Skyrim is a better solo game? That it is more popular than ESO? Well. LoL is way more popular than either game so lets just devolve ESO into a moba and then everyone can be happy right?

As others have mentioned, Murkmire (Group PvE) and Wrothgar (Solo PvE) zones were announced at QuakeCon. Imperial City (PvP) was also announced at that time. I think, though, that for PvE they could also add more solo quests by recycling some zones and characters.

As for PvP, there have been lots of suggestions for content. Here are some I've tossed out:

• Special events in campaign cycles
• POW camps for Cyrodiil
• More threats from Coldharbor (not my idea but I offer an assessment/suggestions)
• New achievements/Alliance specific bonuses

These may not be the best ideas, but there is definitely a lot of room to make more content for all types of players.

And you did suggest I go to another game, that is usually a PvP players position. I am sorry, I didn't realize PvE players would say things like that.
