There are 10b kinds of people:
Those that understand how hard a job is and thus won't complain about acceptable/expected mistakes like those.
Those who do not and thus shouldn't run thier mouths about stuff they could not comprehend in a decade of study.
    You are obviously the later.

Making a MMO is as complex as building a City from scratch. While also having to minimise running costs.
Explain me how you can even ask there to be no problem with a project that scale?

More like there are 2 kinds of people:
People who are sheep and those who are not. Obviously your the first kind.

If I SOLD you a product saying that it would do something and it in fact did the exact opposite, are you saying you wouldn't "run" your mouth about it because the making of the product was (in your opinion) "complex" and you "couldn't comprehend in a decade of study"? (Please contact me though. I have discovered the secret to keeping your youth. its only $59 to start up and $15 a month. it'll change your life. swear.)

I have noticed one thing though. ZoS doesn't seem to have any trouble at all with taking $15 a month from my credit card. But I guess that isn't "complex". It def doesn't require software made up of millions of lines of code and secure connections and communication with other software and connections etc etc. oh wait.....it does.

Funny how there isn't a bug that gives people free game time. Because if there was, no matter how "complex" and big their "city" of code was it would be fixed in less then 24 hours.

Utter rubbish, utter utter utter rubbish. I'm a computer scientist and the constant release of game breaking bugs into each and every live patch, which then go unfixed is frankly amateurish.

    LOL. Another one.

Yeah another one. With all the computer scientists, video game developers, and people who fix servers around here I'm gonna stop applying to game companies and just start posting my Resume here.

Way to garnish the support and love of the folks at ZOS and endear them into helping you fix the issues you bring forth OP. I mean, at this point, if I were a dev at ZOS, I'd write a script to have your character rubber band everywhere, just for the fun of watching you rage quit.

I kinda figured he garnered ZOS support when he bought and subbed the game. Right?

While not so eloquently put, the issues the OP has listed are all very valid complaints. They should have all been fixed by now. I have been giving this game a chance far longer than all of my friends that have left, but there is only so much I can take when the only zone I want to play in (Cyrodiil) runs worse than it did in beta and at release. Cyrodiil has been running terrible over a month now.

Once you figure in the giant impulse / bat swarm blobs running around on top of all the problems, Cyrodiil is a sick joke right now.

First of all, I wouldn't say that these bugs make this a product that "in fact did the exact opposite". It's not like when you install it, it erases 80 gigs of data on your hard drive and makes you go to work for 3 more hours a day. This is a product that does not do what is advertises as well as it said it would at launch. This happens in major multi-billion dollar companies. GM has had to recall how many cars after they killed how many people? I know in the Dell 9020 All-in-Ones that my company bought had hardware issues with Sleep Mode and USB ports that required them to write a new BIOS version. Does this mean that I will never ride in a GM or buy a Dell again? No. Cars, BIOS and operating systems, and MMOs are complex systems. That's why there are things called patches.

Now, do I think everything is great, and that there is nothing wrong? No. There are problems, and at this point in time, I still have faith in ZoS to get this fixed over the next few months. That obviously may change as time goes on. I am not saying that you getting frustrated is invalid, just that your argument is hyperbole and poorly crafted. If you do not have faith in ZoS, then go ahead and unsub, that is your choice, and we should all respect that, but insulting people on the forum because they still think it can be fixed is pointless.

lets take a look shall we at some things ZoS has fixed that are in fact the "exact opposite" meaning broken.

April 28, 2014- "Fixed an issue that would cause a gradual memory leak during long play sessions."

May 9, 2014 - "Fixed an issue for a graphics-related memory leak." "Fixed an issue for an animation-related memory leak."

May 22, 2014 - "Fixed an issue where the game could crash due to a limited amount of available system memory."

July 21, 2014 - "Fixed an issue where your game could crash during combat while in Cyrodiil."

August 4, 2014- "Fixed a memory leak in the Mac client that would cause the game to crash or perform poorly over time."

It's pointless. I can't figure it out. I almost think that some folks feel as if critical feedback (from paying CUSTOMERS) will result in the death if the game. Subsequently they attempt to squash the perceived problem. The bottom line is that the folks expressing their concerns like the game just as much; they just want it fixed and playable.

It's okay that you are upset.

I don't need to be upset too.

    sigh......

first of all..... I've already pointed out to you in the previous post why this game is the exact opposite of what was intended. I'll try to run it through you one more time....
    1. hundreds of players are suppose to be able to be on screen with no lag according to game advertisements. it lags with 20+.
    2. we are suppose to have instant weapon swap according to release notes. we don't. weapon swap in a lot of cases doesn't even work.
    3. the issue with the keep doors was suppose to be fixed according to release notes. it isn't.
    4. the memory leak was suppose to be fixed according to release notes. it isn't.
    5. the fps issue was suppose to be fixed according to release notes. it isn't.
    6. skills are advertised to do certain actions. they don't.

now..... the definition of hyperbole in case you might have it confused is - exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally.

So.....if the above reasons (1-5 that appear slightly above) are the EXACT OPPOSITE of what is intended, how is that outlandish hyperbole? your entire ramblings are invalid. Why do you insist on trying to downplay the issues that prevent people from using something they paid for? Does that passive aggressive behavior actually work for you in the real world?

    That's all I'm saying.

    snap out of it.

    Think before you speak.

do you know what a bug is?

    thank you.

Interestingly, even after I posted that people are welcome to PM me if they think I'm lying only one person actually bothered and because he was interested after we talked I even emailed some pics of our huge systems using fuzzy controllers, everyone else would much rather shoot off their mouths on the forums bringing more clutter to the clutter.

I think I'm done with these forums, I'm out, the OP is right it's critical bug after critical bug and if people think "making an MMO is hard" has any bearing on that then they are delusional. Developing code without bugs is impossible, making an MMO is hard yes, releasing patches with those critical bugs in them EVERY single time though (after we know they've been reported on the TS in some cases), is simply because they know they can get away with it and that's what people are getting annoyed over.

Critical bugs will happen but to defend a critical game changing bug every single reasonable sized patch is comical. It's the reason we have game companies releasing broken software and still making money hand over fist.

I love your game ZOS, it's one of the most beautiful MMOs I've ever played but I'm sick of the critical gameplay destroying bugs over and over with every patch, the health bar bug, the FPS bug, the list goes on and on, that's before I even go back to having the log in bug where it's impossible to log in until the next server reset.

Bugs are fine, critical bugs are going to happen, critical bug after critical bug every single reasonable sized patch, is not. I don't blame the developers, I don't blame the testers, I blame the people that choose to push the patches out anyway.

Do you know how hard it is to fix bugs in a game as big as ESO, that has millions of lines of code?

I dunno. how hard is it to actually test stuff before releasing it to ensure fixes are actually fixes and more stuff isn't broken?

Fixing X and testing it once is not that hard, once you discover the cause.
But making 100% sure the change to X did not break A, B, C, D, E, F... Q (when sometimes F seemingly has no direct connection to X)... that's a different matter. Sure they could throughoughly test every single system after every change made, but then patches would be coming out once a year, if that. MMO's are immense.

Also, making sure that X was fixed not only on the test machine, but also on every one of the myriad possible computer configurations(various cards, various drivers for those cards, different operating systems, different directx version, yada yada) is technically impossible.

Once again, you miss the point entirely. We all get your points, even agree with them, like them, and understand them. Theres nothing wrong with your replies. With one tiny exception. You had the balls to post that your a computer professional. That's why this blew up. No one likes it when a poster or OP declares themselves to be in some profession in order to lend creedance to their post/opinion. It matters not if you actually are what you say you are. Since you can't prove it, it just makes your opinions invalid to us no matter how much we might agree with them.

Excuse me, but I think you'll find there are people replying to the OP and not to me and are adamant he's wrong which has nothing to do with what you just said. Many of those people haven't replied to me at all, so your point really has no bearing on my statement at all, it doesn't matter if you agree or don't agree with me.

This is totally ignoring, as said a page ago, that the main person replying to my posts wasn't actually clear on what I'd written and got upset over the wrong thing.

Pretty sure I covered this in the very reply you replied to.

Given that a number of these issues are reported on the forums and on the test server before the patch goes out, AND that they are stating issues are fixed in patch notes when they are not fixed for anyone at all AND that there are MMO's released and patched that can patch without severely effecting their gameplay, every patch, it's pretty understandable why the OP is annoyed.
