Fatal Error 11

I'd edit that out and just send it in in a Support Ticket from their Help page here on the site if Customer Support hasn't gotten back to you in these past 24 hours.

After a few weeks break I decided to return to ESO yesterday and excitedly downloaded the newest patch. My launcher told me to repair, which I did (it was due to the server move, everything eventually worked out fine). By the time it was sorted, however, I was tired and bored and decided to come back in the morning.

This morning I find I am now another member of the Fatal Error 11 club.
It crashed every time I clicked 'play', and restarting did not help.
I've now run the repair from the launcher and my PC is now in the process of downloading the whole damn thing again. Seriously unimpressed.

CS got back to me, said to add ESO to your firewall/Virus protection exceptions and run it as admin. If that doesn't work then the only way to do it is repair the client, which is a 26g download for me. At 23% so I'll know in the next day or so

Yep they got back to me yesterday too. The 'solution' I was offered was to run the repair - again - which resulted in a 27Gb download for me. 19hrs later I'm still downloading and at a stupidly slow rate ! 200kb/s average.
What is THAT all about ! Imean I'm not using a piece of wet string !
The thing is it still might not cure the problem as other contributors have mentioned

It would be somewhat comforting if there was a little more response within these threads from CS, just so we know someone is still here with us at least !

After days of waiting after being told a fix was being worked on, escalations advises now that not enough people are being affected by this issue so they are not working to resolve it anymore. Still can't get in-game at all.

Sadly the game is completely unplayable for me now. Was work'in last night and early this morning. I can't get an alt through intro Coldharbour. 3 minutes of play and everything freezes up. My character can move around and that's about it. If I wait he dies. This patch is hitting us hard.

Applying the patch right now, will edit this post and tell you guys if it in a few minutes. (Just did the full repair of 26gb )

Repairing the entire client worked, took 2 1/2 days because of my crappy DL speed but it worked. Seems to be the only fix guys

holy ***....for real? I have to download basically the entire damn game again? ya know I quit a couple months ago because every time they released a descent sized update I had to basically re-install the game and seems nothing, not one thing has changed lol. a developer that has trouble with downloaded files to overwrite old ones and add new ones does not inspire confidence for the future....

lets start a guild called Fatal Error 11 and just go stand nakid in cyrodil lol

The error is caused by crap internet speed which doesn't download files correctly essentially corrupting files, you need to re download. My internet sucks as it turns out so i used my phones internet to download, on 3g unlimited and its 10 times faster than my internet lol...anyway it downloaded over night just fine. Feel bad for blaming zos, was my bad sorry, getting fiber optic

Done and done, Fatal Error 11. The new elitist Dominion PvP guild, best known for fighting naked or in fruit cake colored armor, oh and they only use destro staves with impulse and fight in a line to make the rainbow color as they run people over!

Another member of error11 club. 36hrs multiple downloads and repairs. now three elongated discussions with tech support rewritten text files, reset privileges etc etc etc. Game don't work. NOT my internet connection - that is fully checked out but IS their server capacity. Other downloads 1.6- 1.8 mb/s EOS 0.08 - 0.12mb/s. Think I'll give up and go to Minecraft (again). Only real option is complete reinstall.

Meh, I got this too after 1.3.4... Well today is my birthday and I hoped I could play a bit, it seems the client decided differently...

I have a second installation, though, that is pre 1.3.3 so now I can just have to patch that and pray to the Divines that it will work, for I have just redownloaded the game prior to 1.3.3, it would be ridiculous if I had to do it again.

I am doing a repair on my main, up to date client and see how it won't help, then update the other.

Edit: Seems like.. repair fixed it? I am surprised.

Well, okay I tried to Repair via launcher. But the game reinstalling. Why? That's weird, all the files are broken? Damn!

This is an old post, but currently the only fix that I know of for Fatal Error 11 is to repair the launcher, which usually results in having to download the entire game again. It sucks, but it's the only fix that I can think off, contact CS through phone or Email and see if they can help.

I had this exact problem. What I did was uninstall the game and then re-install it via the website. I had to leave the download running for (wait for it)...24 hours. Anyway, after those 24 hours it reached 21% completion, that's when it started to speed up dramatically. Within a couple of hours it was done. Patience really is a virtue with TESO, and it's definitely worth it.

I can't get back, I guess. I've already start the downloading. I have to wait damn one day again. Ugh!
