I am a Buddhist. The Buddha on the shelf above belonged to my Nana - very old and Japanese (the statue not my Nan). Satsuma porcelain I understand. The green soapstone figure on the same shelf as Nana's Buddha is Kuan Yin. The female figure lower down is an Apsara and was a gift from my ex's Mum. All the most important things I have are on that shelf. The camel belonged to a friend who died. The brass tiger was also my Nana's. The Asimov book was one I got when I was 13 and passed a very important test that convinced my school to teach my to write (dyslexic).

So Corky Jr joins a very prestigious bunch of clutter

do you know which buddha that is? I have always had a very difficult time differentiating some of the depictions because they tend not to be very different from buddha to buddha.

Sorry not trying to derails the thread, used to follow Zen Buddhism in high school. It's probably the only religion I've ever found value in. Though even Buddhists can be violent (see the pasat conflicts throughout the ages with taoists and the current events in myanmar)

I actually have the Monkey King tattoo'd on my back, speaking of buddhist/taoist conflicts.

He is a stylised version of the historical figure of Buddha as I understand it. The guy who said please no one make any statues of me You can see a bindi on his forehead if you look close. The historical personage that we know as "The Buddha" (even though there are lots of Buddhas) was born a Hindu prince.

Also if you look close near the postcard on the shelf there is a little wooden Sun Wukong (King Monkey).

When I have desk shelves I always get clutter, yours looks very organized. I have to keep my desk clear lately so my cat can stand in front of my monitor and block my view when I am pvp'ing.

I have two monitors, and she always stands in front of the one I am staring at. Also, if I try to look around her she will scooch closer to the monitor to make that impossible.

Hopefully, you will not have that problem with Corky Jr. Guar can be quite stubborn!

There is also a photo of Amitabha over to the left, opposite side from the boxed edition of Daggerfall. Corky Jr seems to fit right in somehow. (Hmm, think I will leave out the attempt to work in a pun about a guar and the Bodhisattva Guan Yin.)

Yeah, I thought it was Shakyamuni at first but it also looks a little like Amitabha; usually the latter is posed that way, but it's hard to tell as the typical stylization of the hair (typically the biggest clue) isn't always clear for something like a porcelain figure. In any case, it seems to be in a style known at least from the Meiji period (latter 1800s to very early 1900s).

how do you remove the ui? I wanted to take a screenshot of my orc templar and her new pig Snorkles, but with the ui it doesn't make for a very good picture.

There is no key currently set up to remove the UI - you have to choose one in the settings - I use Y as it isn't used for anything else.
