Let me just say this i can guarantee that without AE caps you are still going to see big groups AoEing the fudge out of everyone. Because before it was apparent that there was AE caps it was already being done.

I dont need to reread anything i already told you it was a bunch of QQ. I also said, maybe there is a AE cap because can you imagine if your group of 4 runs into a group of 24. All you would have to do is cast impulse once and you have your ulti back up. See the problem there, its not so simple like you think. You are not thinking this whole thing through its just a rage QQ post.

Me and my guild mates we like to reverse engineer what other groups are doing. We talk about what sets we should wear what enchants, and skills to use. We are not worried about something that is effecting everyone else like AE caps. If we encounter a zerg bigger then ours that we cant take on ourselves... We call for some reinforcements from other guilds. Go make some friends in-game.

They may get it and simply disagree with you, lol. It's an old but obvious debating trick to simply accuse your adversary of not "getting it."

Again, dressing up your opinions as fact just gets lost on most people smart enough to distinguish the difference.

I have played solo and up to groups of 24. I've had fun in all shapes and forms in Cyrodiil. Fact. I wouldn't be logged in if I wasn't having fun. Fact. I could care less what other players feel how I should play, when I should play, or if my enjoyment level meets their requirements. Fact.

I'm in full support of a cap removal but I don't feel if a group of 4-6 haven't figured out how to take out 24 pugs by now they will be singing the same sad song without the cap. To those 4-6 man groups who can do it now, you rock and thanks for not whining.

"It's not fun, it's boring, or it's not skilled" is an opinion. Someone is bound to have a different one. Fact. Sorry, bubble burst I know but that is life and you'll get over it.

Note: Now that I think about it, I haven't seen a group of 4 do it in a while but it was definitely possible at one time.

Pro Tip: Form a group of 4 and hang out with the zerg. Now you can claim you only run with 4. I'm l33t

Aside from the AOE cap being an obvious problem, I think part of the zergball problem is that healing is so fantastically easy in this game and that almost everything is instant-cast and can be done while moving.

The Ultimate problem with removing AOE caps would be very easy to fix, just change it so any targets after 4 (or 6 or whatever number you decide is fair) doesnt give any ultimate points, so even if you hit 20 people you wouldnt get ultimate points for more than 4.
Furthermore, making it so an AOE does more damage the closer to the center you are, would also help.

I dont mind people zerging but in a game where targeting is haphazard at best, AOE is worthless against massed numbers (where it should be at its best.... sigh) and healing is mindnumbingly easy, it just becomes too much of an auto choice.
Not only does magicka builds out-perform stamina builds quite a bit but then you add this on top and the game will end with almost everyone running around in huge zergballs casting Impulse.
Ofcourse there are other problems raising its ugly head here (such as Rapid Maneuvers) but those are the basics.

    Galrukh pretty much nailed it.

That`s not quality pvp, therefore quality pvpers will leave despite maybe liking certain parts of this game`s pvp very much.

When quality guilds & players leave, pvp will slowly die out. Because that quality usually comes through dedication.

Means, the players who used to play pvp every day will be gone, after realizing the mechanics of the game allow no progress past a certain point - stacked up blobs spamming ae.

Seen it in gw2, that game is just casuals doing karma train events from time to time by now, since all the ambitious every day players left.

    7. With AE caps, the biggest zerg always wins, leading to morale loss for outnumbered factions

Well, that'd be an issue, if it was..

There is a cap on how much Ultimate you can get per skill use, You can hit 6 or 100..But you'll only hit the cap...Usually its around 15

I see 24 people running around smashing a handful of enemies all scattered around and then being gobbled up. This is what is supposed to happen. Something thats in the realm of possibility is you recruit some players around there. The only thing stopping everyone is the willingness to group up and work together.

On a side note i think there are AE caps because if there wasnt ulti gen would be ridiculous, and then it would really be an AE ulti spam fest.

ZOS clearly has the talent to cap only ulti gain while still allowing AOE to damage everything entering it.

Yeah theres a easy solution to that good. The thing is im not arguing about the AE cap. It doesnt matter.

So, you didn't notice them ignoring siege weapons nailing their group either? The caps are only part of the problem. Who thought it would be a good idea to give a higher cap to barrier, and purge? Smart heals, but not smart damage? There are a lot of problems. Removing AOE caps would eliminate most of those issues because when a group balls up send six guys to stealth behind, and bomb them.

Removing AOE caps doesn't give the advantage to a smaller group. It gives the advantage to a smarter/more skilled group. If I have 6 skilled players, and you have 20 skilled players you will still win as long as you don't stack and let us bomb you.

The arguments about making keeps to hard to take actually has some weight to it if choke points were relevant... They aren't. There is no collision detection with players. Retreating maneuvers, and run right through them.

Removing AOE caps also adds more diversity to the game. If you are in a group of 6 then all of you will most likely have a bomb bar to deal with blobs. If the blob is smart and spreads before you waste them, then real pvp starts. Your healer swaps to his heal bar. Your "tank" swaps to his control/peel bar. DPS swaps to thier single target bar.

No AOE caps means more tactics. The bomb squad set up will be successful for a while until players adapt, and change.

I also agree with everyone who talks about the buffed NPCs. They are only a problem for small teams. Zergs roll them.

sorry for the wall of text.
