those operating a subscription model need to put a lot of thought into creating loyalty, game companies need to let us know they appreciate that we pay them a certain amount of money each month rather than throw that money into a F2P cash shop
The anger about a pet that is absolutely useless apart from the fact that it runs behind you and barks. Hahah I really don't get why everyone is so upset xD
The industry has changed and people have just sort of accepted it. There are those of us who remember a golden age when our subscription included everything, sure.

Now the Internet forums and social media have finally given customers a voice. Voices and opinions that are unfiltered.
Today you're seeing what was hidden behind filters and marketing campaigns.
Nothing's is wrong but perhaps the reality of people is just as scary to you as it was to companies who fight to silence the voices and opinions of others.
Oh please.
I'd love to see the forums for Sonic the Hedgehog:
"OMG, nerf Caterkillers!"
"Why are Steam users getting a Tails vanity pet?!"
"6 hours to get all the emeralds, and now I die on the final boss?! I want a refund!"
See, back in the day, we didn't whine about these things. We actually enjoyed playing games.
Stating obvious things like you're teaching me something does what for you?
These different things that are being cried about today. Are pathetically sad considering what they allow a company to get away with. Which was the point you ignored by stating worthless information.
I'm saying that different pieces of content mean more or less to different people. I could care less to what value you hold this truth.
You're almost catching up. I already realized people are different in what they want and was pointing how sad people are that are crying for pets. I know they're different. I'm pointing out that they are so different that it's actually pathetic.
I can see your argument, but I disagree. No bad feelings towards you, I just find the differentiation between pieces of code to be a little artificial and just used as a means to hold a shiny above peoples' heads in a cheap attempt to ring in profit.
You don't have to agree with me on that, but I do hope that you respect that opinion.

Well you were all about pointing out how people are different. I said I understand that. I just think that these ones are pathetically different. So different that I feel like taking any money I give a company is wasting it if they spend one cent catering to them. Which I stated I ignored. I tried to ignore them. Ive always hated them. I wrap that into novelty pets, achievement hunter, and mount collectors. Absolute sht in my eyes. The worst people. Why do they live. They obvious aren't normal or think normal. These items are graphical renditions.ETC ETC. They have mental issues. Something strange happened that all of this mattered. Its weird. Here I am wanting what I want. Here they are talking to the same people I am asking for what I want. Their voice, tear dripped and all whiney, is influencing the devs that I am talking to.
Now I have to ask myself on a psychological level. What type of system am I involving myself into that these guys have just as much voice as me. Why am I indorsing through continual resubscribing? I just have to opt out on principle. Youre not on my level of even being a human being. You have issues that I can't help. I'm already creeped out that youre in the same genre as me. I don't understand you and I don't want too. I can see real life females or gays wanting this stuff but I would say. So what? Whats happening here. Youre forcing me to deal with things I don't want to and even more so become a little of their insanity by accepting them if I do.
Im so tired of all of this. Its just so strange. Its on a level that isn't healthy in any way. Fictional puppies or monkeys. I could careless. Here's where Im drawing the line. That I pay to play any game these screw loose lost soul morons have any effect what-so-ever. At this point with the badgering that I should accept these morons into my humanity. I choose the opposite. If you cater to this subhuman low intelligence monkey class. I have to dive off. I have to run far. I have to get away. You're wrong on every level. These people are insane and sick. They lack a simple common since that these are pixels and I want nothing to do with them... if they represent the a fair share of a hobby that I enjoy. Than I have to reevaluate how I came so close to even connecting with them. Maybe Im wrong at a level I have to fix.... BUT I WILL NOT DECIDE THEY ARE RIGHT CRYING OVER BULLSHT. With all of this all of you. I am not on the same level of intelligence as these monkeys and if their opinion is as valuable as mine.. then we have a developer more interested in money than just reality . Oh I know im a little carried away. But if you cater to this beast. monkey pet.. Youre just so stuck I don't want anything to do with you anyways.

- An inability to understand that other people have different opinions, sometimes strong ones
- An odd sense of violation and rage when confronted with things they don't understand, such as people with different opinions
- A strong urge to post angry rants directed at strawman opponents, usually with all-caps fake quotes
- An assumption that they're clearly more mature than those anonymous others out there, the ones with a different opinion
Surprisingly, people have opinions about opinions. Now, follow me here:
Some people... wait for it... some people find a vanity pet to be a pointless thing to devote your time to whining about, especially when there are far more important features that need debate. Every problem is not equal. There are people here who have thought that the delete character limit was a serious issue. There is absolutely no problem with the halfway-rational people on the forum (those of us that are left) rising up and saying, "That's not as big an issue as you are making it out to be. Stop complaining about things that don't matter, because eventually ZO will stop listening to the forums if they see it as a place for overly sensitive players to whine about perceived insults to their loyalty."
Having fierce opinions about other peoples' opinions is not a mark of rationality, it is the mark of a surplus of free time and the desire to have a reason, any reason at all, to argue with people and call them wrong.
There have been maybe 3 threads today that were worth actual discussion. Can you think of why that might be? Can you imagine any earthly reason that so few useful threads were posted/noticed today?
People hijacking the forums for waves of petty complaint threads ruin the overall quality of discussion. Some of us like discussion.
These forums are not your personal forums. You are in no position whatsoever to say what's "hijacking" them. Nor are you in any position to dictate what's "worth actual" discussion.
If there were a billion threads on the topic, it would show that other people are invested in talking about a thing. Rather than pushing your face in to get all angsty about it, telling people what's "worth" talking about and what's not, how about some exercise on that scroll wheel there, pard'ner?
I mean, it's clear you like discussion when it's what you want to discuss, so why such a big aggressive frowny-face when people talk about what they want to talk about?
I'm not sure why this is a hard concept to grasp.
This was a non-issue. But enough people have figured out that whining loud enough gets them noticed. Which is not behavior I'm willing to endorse.
You feel differently. Thank you for expressing your opinion on the subject.

So why do you care if some of us do?
There is not a damn thing wrong with me for wanting the option to BUY the same dog as a stand-alone that I have no problem with new people getting for free. Thanks for your concern though.
Oh, these whiners want it for free. As soon as ZOS says they are going to charge $4.99 for it, expect the whine-fest to start anew. I guarantee it.
