I'm glad I only upgraded my armor to purple. I had a feeling that I would need to replace it soon enough and I didn't want to waste the legendary upgrade mats. The rosin for my weapons, on the other hand, will not be fun to acquire. Those I did upgrade to legendary.

I seriously also doubt it, the game is a progression, and you wont stay vr12 for the rest of the game.

So it surprises me, that so many gets this reaction.

Now gonna tell you a big secret:

The next set of legendary gear you make, hold on to your seat, its a life changer !!

Will go OUT OF DATE, as well

when thats said, I know it sucks for sure, but be thankful that you had legendary gear for how long you had, and think about how you go about making the next set

Except this is still the same gear we already were wearing. Not the same thing, apples and spaceships.
-First-Wave Closed Beta Tester of the Psijic Order, aka the 0.016 percent.
Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!

-Playing since July 2013, back when we had a killspam channel in Cyrodiil and the lands of Tamriel were roamed by dinosaurs.
    ________________
-In-game mains abound with "Nerf" in their name. As I am asked occasionally, I do not play on anything but the PC NA Megaserver at this time.

That does not sound easy from a programming perspective at all.

It's very easy from a programming stand point...

I do grasp that concept, but heres the thing, the game is new, of course there will be lots of changes to it from the start, when suddenly the servers get full of people, that will do about anything to get a head start, grinding or what ever, this will result in new or changes to

    Balance
    Gear/Bonus
    Quests
    Trails
    Pvp

and so on, so if you have seen other mmos games from the start you would know this, and would probably not had been in such a hurry to do things so fast.

I've seen a lot of MMOs from the start... EQ, DAoC, WoW, GW2, and never has a game rendered peoples end game gear useless.

Does new gear come out to upgrade to? Of course... Do they negate your work? Of course not...

It's just stupid to even consider a complete redesign of a set.

Everyone cried that LA/Staff ist way to OP.
That is just one step in balancing Magicka and Stamina Builds, as well as putting these Sets to specific roles, instead of the current "random" Stats, not fitting to it's "ultimate" Bonus.

If we look now to the Warlock Set, than it is now absolutly fine. It's big Bonus is a 33% Magicka Regen. In that case +Magicka and + Magicka Regen as 2,3,4 Set Bonus are making absolute sense. Any Spellcrit or Spelldmg has nothing to lose in this Set.

Same with Willow, the Set is a Recovery Set, not a DMG Set, they just corrected the Bonus that made no sense.

Twilight as well, this is clearly a tanking Set. Now it really fit in its role.

And ANYONE that says he couldn't see this coming lies to himself. It was no secret that the current Sets has been a mess since Release with its Bonus Values.

That is just one step in balancing Magicka and Stamina Builds. It can't be done with Skills alone, there has to be changes with the sets themselfs, providing to much synergies with combining Set bonuses.

This has got to be one of the most misguided posts I've ever seen... Crit equates to damage.

The balancing could easily be done by changing the cycle of life passive and reducing the spell penetration from light armor.

You'd have the same damage reduction without rendering peoples current gear sets useless.

And what does that provide to Sets that make no sense in themselfs? Right, nothing. But that doesn't care you, cause all you see and care is yourself.

Everyone knows what is coming, so stop whine and start collecting stuff for new Sets. Until the Patch hits Live, there is about 5 to 6 weeks, since the PTS got updated to 1.3.0. Maybe that will not be enough for new Leg. Sets, but at least Superior to Epic is more than possible until than.

The issue about Spell penetration on Light Armor is a different topic and if I would be the lead designer of Armors, than this passive Bonus would be replaced completly (f.e. Spell DMG Increase for 0.5 / 1% p.p). Medium Armor has non Armor pen. as passive Bonus, so Light Armor shouldn't eather. Same goes for Spell Warden and its Spell Resistance. That one should be reduced to 2/4% from it's current 4/8% gain p.p.

That, together with the Set changes could problably be enough to balance out Magicka and Stamina for a lot.

Yes, all I care about is myself who has tons of money from being a master crafter and will make full new sets as soon as it goes live...

You fail to miss the point so this is my last response to you.

    It is poor implementation. Period.
