For once (well maybe a couple of times now) Zeni have done something I approve of. The tabards will help with immersion and guild pride.

Ideally it should be one tabard, and you choose 1 guild to represent that the tabard displays the heraldry for - and changes when you select a different guild to represent. At least that's what I'm hoping.

one time? Isn't that going to be per guild? That's then 10k ? And each time you switch guilds that's another 2k !
(I may be wrong there though) But I can't see a one-tabard-fits-all system working?

    :/

Think we need 'official' input on that bit !

retraction, I honestly have no idea about how those work then, i must have just skipped that part and went straight to the armor dye examples. guess this isn't like warcraft when you switch guilds and you guild tabard changes too

Yeah, just being able to represent 1 guild would make much more sense !

Yes because the next content patch will only involve adding tabards.........

Going to be funny when a guild leader creates a cool tabbard all the guild buy it and then he changes the color to shocking pink for giggles.

What is going to be even more interesting is the hue and cry which will ensue when someone pays 2k (or whatever gold) for the tabard and then their Costume or Sorc Armor overwrites it.

Who knows, maybe ZOS will get it right and put the Tabard on top of everything else that is worn. We will see.

"Once a heraldry has been designed, any guild member can purchase a tabard by visiting the Guild’s Store and searching for items of type ‘Guild Items’."

I rather got the impression that the guildmaster can set the cost of the heraldry to it's members regardless of original design costs.

If that's NOT how it is, that's how it should be. Given that option, I expect many guildmasters would set the cost to 1gp.

I'm curious how purchasing these tabards works? Can you purchase a blank one if you are not in a guild or is it strictly guild only to purchase?

Yeah, the whole game is broken. Dunno how I played uninhibited since April on a completely broken game, saying its broken totally isnt an exaggeration in of itself.

Should just sound like the FPS bug they introduced in 1.2.3 but didn't fix until two days ago...

...or the weapon swap bug that was constantly mentioned even before launch that even to this day occasionally doesn't work...

...or the no animation when CC'd...

...or the sudden falling through the map bug at keep doors...

...or the keep doors don't work....

The list goes on and on and on and on. If there weren't a consistent underlying theme of "Patch is up! Let's see what they broke this time!" then maybe my statement would be without merit. But based on the mountain of evidence, any patch I see I expect nasty bugs to once again slip past QA and torment subscribers.

But there are those that have experience 1 or none of those. I realize im debating semantics, it was simply funny to me since that statement perfectly summed up what coders/support get to expect from users.

2000 Gold seems not much to me for a VR char - the price I can't really figure out is 750,000 for some vendors' armor pieces in Cyrodiil. Any of you guys has managed to spare more than 100,000 in this game?

(I don't trade much, I admit, I find it sort of ridiculous to ask another player 2000 G or more for a racial Motif anyone can lay his hands on...) (Plus I don't feel like I'm playing this game to make business).

I had made a good 300k probably buying low and selling high between trading guilds while back, most of that went in to spoiling my vet toons with multiple horses, I'd say I've made 250k just from questing & vendoring the items I don't deconstruct for crafts, though.

Never did. I might have tried if there was a chance to get some unique item - but my understanding is there are no unique items in this game except for some rare sets. But I never can lay my hand on more than 3 pieces of a set, each of a different level - I used one set once but the bonus it gave were not as good as the sets I could craft anyway.

I'm curious too about anyone buying armors from vendors. Personally, the crazy high prices added to the fact that you have no idea what you're gonna get does not entice me. Has anyone had an amazing surprise buying from vendors?

Wondered the same and tried it on the PTS since you start with 40k gold when you roll a new character.

Why is Zenimax doing tabards?! Especially with armor dyes coming out....who wants to hide their colorful new armor anyways? Of all the creative ways to visually represent a guild (can't wear 5 tabards at once)......this is no different from WoW.

this price does not make much sense to me. not when we can't upgrade tabard itself, enhance its lining and material quality. low level gear from vendors costs about 600g. why would a piece of cloth cost more? [rhetoric question - heavily accented] meditate on this.
