Would you want an RP "Megaserver"?

Obvious answer is to create Guild taverns. These are customisable local watering holes that can cater for RP. Much like a guild store but only for RP so you could choose not to have one. This would help RP guild's organize and people outside the guild could pop in for the experience with a small fee? Something like this. Then you'd have some nice little bars popping up in Tamriel.

It's the Irish way.

I would think a better way of doing it. Then ppl will ask for a pvp server/ open world. Cyrodiil is great, like myself want open world where I can run to other faction area(maybe die due to they would be able to launch attack first before I can do anything). Still a choice and not where I am *** their quest. I truly don't understand VR doing another factions quest. I want my pride and yell "For the Pact". ESO is great game and I am waiting for them to complete the beta. I can see this game being one of the best games in MMO. I think more has to be done before making a few different mega servers. Ppl should enjoy the game with less ppl at the moment due when this game adds jail system/ emperor palace/ raid content/ww&vamp quest-to consequence/the 2 guilds/ classes before winter this server will be heavily populated. Ppl will complain about how hard it is to kill world bosses/public dungeons/ anchors to many ppl killing them they have to wait for cd. Then say I remember the good old days. I see that now a few more million and Jesus. Ppl are waiting and watching, some already have vr1-12. Waiting till beta is over, due to cost of this game is a lot they could not finish it. Look at ESO half finished and still a great game. Imagine it being finished will be a munster.

Personally an RP mega-server would only work if chat was in 'bubbles' over the chars heads.
This chat in a box at the corner of the screen flying by at 20mph due to spamm is counter productive to RP.
Your shouldn't be able to talk to people that are not stood within earshot of your voice.
Guild chat and global chat by all means put it in a box for those that want it but for RP'ers we need speech bubbles.

still not the same. as all you get is a conversation going on in a box while your chars look like statues.......or not if their miles apart. If we had chat bubbles then you could atleaste see these 2 chars were talking to each other and not just stood looking awkwardly at each other in silence.
RP is all about immersion and unfortunately this game don't lend itself to that cause.

I would prefer a RP channel in the Game, also an additional trade chat would be fine for the RP to keep the chat clean.

RP phasing could be a possibility - if that would be possible can only know Zenimax.

I just don't think it should be a Roleplay only megaserver. maybe using the same tech, but smaller scale. or a zone questing and activities and daily type things can be done on a small scale in a RP friendly environment.

I don't roleplay, would be interested in trying it with a guild.

If you divide the server into RP and PVE/PVP then you get a splintering of the game, where one server becomes hard-core and nobody is allowed to say it's too hard. And the other goes the other way, where it's near impossible to say something is too easy.

Keeping the servers as they are keeps the difficulty at a reasonable level, not too hard and not too easy (people will disagree, but people will disagree if you say it's a nice day).

If you are going to have a seperate server for any one crowd, then it needs to be for the hard-core crowd, who are never happy unless the enemy requires a team of equally hard-core players to beat (or you have to be ten levels higher than the mobs).

too much is too much. please, make a phase were people with lore/story/style sounding names can enter + option to report all those 'jokers' who would wish to pollute that place with their lowbrow nicknames.

I said yes, but not because there needs to be a different megaserver. There just needs to be more RP. With me. All the RP! And maybe a little tag or something. A title, maybe. We don't need chat bubbles (no. we don't. We've done VERY well without them filling our screens with huge boxes. We aren't all Deadpool, thanks), but we do need some way of finding one another that isn't by absolute luck of being in the same phase and happening upon active RP right as someone posts an emote... at the same time.

Yes I would, but not at the expense of under-populating the already underpopulated megaserver.
