Plate Robes

Now that jerkins made into the game, it would be highly unfair to leave 'plate' robe lovers like me in the darkness. I hope that the next patch will bring a shiny, new option for all those who wish to keep their wise, hallowed appearance while wearing heavy armours.

the correlation between being able to make a shirt, and being able to make a robe out of metal......is silly imo, but i suppose that's what disguises are for, I would be happy if they added more disguises, maybe as achievement rewards.

there is this reason why I have put '' and the start and end of plate word. it might be any material. 'plate robe' seems to be a common name for this kind of armours.

what we need is mantles (the cloth shirt knight Templar's used to show their order on battlefields), the white shirt with red signet. and copes (hooded cloaks) and also capes themselves.
would be awesome additions to the game, let clothiers craft em.

Looking at the pic you linked, I'd say your best bet for now is mixing light and heavy armor (because that... is actually what it is). The only issue is the chest piece. This obviously changes your build though so yeah.

More costumes are something I am looking forward to as well. Maybe you will find something there, but that is probably still a long way off.

yes, tabards are confirmed to come somewhere near in the future. but red? who are these templars? no Auri-El spearmer would put red, it looks imperial!

well, it was just an example. I do not mind small plate additions or chainmail. one does not fight for the Ancestors without plate robe!

Light n heavy Armor at the same time is the way to go there m8. I doubt your going to get them to put chain n plate robes in TESO. The Hvy n Light combo looks pretty cool though.

really, this is not what I'm aiming for. they do not fit together as much as I would like them to. That is why I have created this thread, about glorious 'plate robes'. It would be simply glorious to see upper plate with fit lower one and create beautiful image. well, I think it is doable for developers to pull pretty fast.

Found this on ESO Fasion site. Looks like deadric legs allows you to have the robe lower.

this is what I call love at the first sight. well, I do not pale, dirty green so much. it looks like an olive after traumatic experience.

although I would like to fit thematically with the armour piece. that is why I think that separate category can be and should be made.

I like the OPs idea.
As Zenimax have already effectively given us the ability to create a 'Battle Mage' (Battle Sorcerer) it would be nice if we could dress them accordingly !

But isn't it time to move on to the other armour types?

Light armour wearers already has too much love. Some fur coats for medium would be nice.

Of course, they should add more customisation options to our equipment but first things first, before they go on crusade against lack of coats,scarfs and such, they should make plate robes to complete and end current set of gear.

about furry mediums and such, I would rather see styles within styles than separate armour kinds.
example:
Altmer Summer/Autumn/Winter/Spring with the current one being Summer (just because it fits Alinor). Different armours for different seasons,
At least I prefer it over 'a little bit more medium" "heavier heavy"

Heavy robes - plate robes or tabard style would be awesome.

So would long Medium leather/scale dusters.

but then couldn't you just allow robe skirts to be craftable and wear a heavy armor chest?

yes but I want some metal on my lower robes too, maybe even attached to the upper one, so it would make them look connected. it might hanging chainmail or something else put over robe.

I'd also love to see more 'Plate Robes' added, I love wearing modded Armour like that in Skyrim on my Mage/Warrior characters. Hope to see it in the future.
